  • Hi guys! This is part 2 of my 3D printed Dark Knight Batman Cowl! The file is from user Killonious on Thingiverse (link below) and it had a full version and a version where it comes in separate pieces, luckily I have a CR-10 now and can do the whole thing. There was a lot more sanding and wood filler to go through and at one point after painting black I had to put primer again because I wasn't happy with the result. If you have any questions or if you've made this file yourself let me know! I love to hear from you guys!

Wood filler and Bondo are both plastic vinyl filler. Wood filler is just yellow colored to be more of a natural wood color. I think it turned out pretty good 👍

How do you print it all together like that

I printed it on my CR10 so I was able to do it in one piece. It would have been a bunch of parts if I printed it on my Ender 3 Pro.

@@badavenger4156 That’s not an easy question. Cost of materials can be hard to calculate. A spool of 1kg of filament is $20-$25 on average, I only used 300g-400g of it. The paint was maybe $7 a can but obviously I didn’t use the whole can so the cost of that is less if you want to think about it that way. Primer was $10 a can but again I only used some. The wood filler was about $5 a container but I only used a small amount of it. If you’re calculating cost of tools too then that’s more. That’s really the best I can answer that for you.
