My grandpa found a puppy and took him home
My grandma was *S H O O K* and took care of him
We think he was abused because when we pull on his harness he shows us his stomach ( means hes telling us we are the boss of him. We think he was SHOT by a bb gun! Every time my grandma picks up her bb gun he gets really scared. We think he was hit alot! One time i was with my sister and i fell. He went in front of me and i lifted up my hand and he flinched really hard. but now he is a happy puppy and healthy His name is Rex

My grandpa was a mechanic. He’d been requested to do a house call for a member of the Atlanta Braves (I don’t know which one, as I probably wasn’t even one yet). It was winter, so he asked my grandpa to come in for some coffee as additional thanks, and to warm up. They continued talking for a bit, as southern hospitality tends to go, and the guy decided to get some firewood from his back garden. My grandpa went with him and they found a chihuahua puppy surrounded by her siblings and mom who’d apparently not made it through the harsh conditions. He decided to take the puppy with him. My grandma was NOT happy... but she quickly fell in love. They named her Mocha, and she ended up having a puppy named Star. They’ve been gone since 2010, and we still miss them everyday. Funny little babes.
His name is Rex bc he bites ALOT xD

There is no “acting blind”. He *is* blind. He can’t see. His eyes _don’t work_ . It doesn’t make him less normal or less cute.

sarcastic comment I’m pretty sure that they were implying that Kobe doesn’t seem like a blind dog based on his actions. Also, you wouldn’t necessarily call a blind person cute as they are usually mistreated in this society and seeing a blind homeless person, you would usually feel sorry for them, you wouldn’t say they were cute. Exactly as how a disabled baby would always seem cute, whereas for an adult, it would seem inconvenient and annoying, not cute. Humans have certain things they would deem “cute” (dogs, babies, kittens) and another adult is likely not “cute”.

@Terry Lap I’m sure most blind dogs don’t ‘seem blind’, unless it’s a 14 year old terrier with obvious cataracts and a tendency to snap.
Maybe I was a bit too harsh, I just get irritated because my dog is blind, and when I tell people they’re like, _“Oh you poor thing”_ . He doesn’t ‘seem blind’ either.
He was born blind. He doesn’t know anything else. _Of course_ he gets around well.

I also have a puppy named Kobe he is a golden doodle and is blind and deaf he is the love of my life and we found him abandoned and chained up. He was also very malnourished. When we found him we called everywhere we knew and when we got the chains off of him there were grease marks from the chain. We immediately decided to foster him and take care of him but I am 13 so my parents and I loved him to much that we officially decided to adopt him. He has been so healthy ever since.

Maybe it’s a boxer thing with the swimming. Mine can’t swim at all. His butt goes down and he only uses his front paws. A life jacket doesn’t really help either,lol.
I looked this up. I have a German shepherd boxer mix. According to everything I read boxers are not built in any way to swim. Like they don’t have webbing between their toes, the way their body is built, their muzzle. I recommend you look it up. I never knew there were so many differences in the different breeds of dogs.
@@mikeswanofficial the webbing isn't a factor. It thier deep set chest. My 2 cant swim at all. They have great webbing though. Vet said it's there deep chest.

Most bully breeds are terrible swimmers. My childhood boxer never wanted to swim but he enjoyed a good romp in waist-high water
well the cut tail can make an impact also, the tails are primarily for balance and in the water it's even more of a factor, my brother have a boxer with his tail and he swims like other dogs

Kobe is so beautiful. He looks just like my dog. My dog is a Rhodesian Ridgeback whose Ridge didn't grow in backwards. She is the most empathetic, loving and best friend I could hope for. After my husband died a few months ago, my dog Charlie learned how to make crying sounds like a human and when I laid in bed and cried, she would jump in bed and lay on her back and put her head on the pillow next to me and just cry with me. Then, I would say that's enough, let's blow our noses and get a treat. Everything is going to be okay. Now, she sleeps next to my bed and she never leaves me. I am so grateful that I adopted this dog. I don't think I would have made it without her. Sincerely, Carly

i think his nose is far more accurate than most dogs eyes are when not blind. afterall they can pick up scents underwater.

@Zahm Bohddie His sense of smell won’t tell him where the ball is. If that were true, my dog wouldn’t constantly trip over his toys or run into doors and walls.
Having blind energetic puppy around Kobe’s age, I can say they mostly go off of sound. My dog won’t go after a tennis ball because the sound of it rolling isn’t loud or satisfying enough, but he loves rubber spikey balls.
He mostly uses his nose for food purposes, including locating the poop he just made so he can eat it.

They are so sweet! We adopted a little mini-poodle/chihuahua mix (looks like your little girl Zoey)and discovered she is blind in one eye. My husband, who never had a dog before and fell instantly in love with our Roxie, was devastated. Both the vet and I had to reassure him that, I’d a dog has to lose one of its senses, losing its sight is not so bad. I’ll have to show him this video so he can see how a blind dog can have a perfectly happy life with the right loving family. You guys are terrific! Thanks for the share!!

Also, Flip bobbing for hotdogs reminded me of when my dog was fetching rocks in the lake(who knows why) and put his WHOLE head underwater. When he couldn’t get the rock, he would growl in frustration, except it was underwater so when he growled the water bubbled up!

I'm pretty sure my dog was abused. When we pick up anything large, long, or able to hurt something, he will stand there as if getting ready to be hit. And when we got him, he had scars on his belly, even though the shelter said "No surgeries". He also was sent to the shelter because he was too old. He is only 3 years old though. But now we take care of him and love on him. He gets alot of attention. His name is now Tim, and goes my Timmy. He has a beautiful 6 month old German Shepherd puppy brother.
