I 100% recommend this video. Good and clear instructions. I had a virus (i think) because my mainboard got bricked, couldn't start it up, couldn't flash other firmware, couldn't connect to it via ip. This video instructed me how to properly erase everything so I can start new with a new firmware. And it works. I'm happy I didn't had to throw my L3 into garbage... or buy a new mainboard for 100$ + wait 2 months to get it. Thank you so much for this video.. you saved my ass.

Okay young man. Lets give you some credit here real quick. I have had three serious issues. 1) the viruses. and 2) signature issues. and 3) inefficient over clocking. You killed these three angry birds with one stone! Thank you! ALL of my machines are overclocked in this cool November air. No more viruses. No more signature failures! Hey i'm doing all the steps but in flashing i set tweezers and turn on bud the red led is bilnking ang both led won't turn on together and not working What can i do? Thanks!
This is a great video, thank you! I did run into a snag on one of my L3's. 4 of them flashed no problem and running great. But one isn't responding to shorting the 3rd pin and won't reset the firmware. Tried several times but no luck, the board is acting like I didn't do anything at all. Ever seen that?

Dude, your recovery technique did not work. You haven't changed anything. You can see at the overview page @10:42 that your firmware version is still 2019. The version in the SD recover .img file is from 2017. If it was successful you should see 2017 there. Also, you'd have to flash the firmware with another SD card (and no short) before you can log in to the miner.
@@muskminers6037 Yeah, twice but no luck. I'm trying to get something put together for a usb ttl connection. I ran across a channel where you link up your control board to your pc and run commands to wipe any virus out. Looks easy enough but I never heard of a usb ttl connection before so I got some homework to do. Thanks for replying to my question though. By chance do you know where I could get a new control board for a decent price? Thanks

Hey brother.. I got nicehash firmware on my L3+.. I guess I got the virus as well... it won't accept my mining address n goes back to some default mining address.. can you help whether I can remove nicehash firmware n replace it to hiveon firmware... but I'm failing to do so.. pls help thanks
I would continue with the process, I had a couple do the same thing and still work! However, two of our boards did that and didn't work. Could be shot or a different virus
When I would try it with the files on the hive website it wouldn't work and gave me the same error. I was only able to fix 24 of our 26 boards as well, not sure if there was a different virus on them or if the board was shot

Any IP scanner should work and the board does not need to be connected to the miner, just needs to have power.

Why sometimes the antminer give some "x" here and there that can be virus or chips faults because it is not happening often

Have you tried the process in the video? Should clear the board and allow you to install Hiveon!
