It might seem inexpensive or in your little mind 'cheap,' however with two 2500 3Bi's and a 4000 3Bi, I have used and fished quite successfully since 2014 landing 3 to 15 pound Northern pike, 20 pound catfish and too many bass, sauger, walleye and panfish to count. Oh, by the way, I have them fitted to those cheap fiberglass ugly stik rods from Shakespeare. As a matter of fact, I'm still waiting for a fish I catch to complain about my cheap equipment and in closing if you loose or break your showy hundred or several hundred dollar reel or rod, the whole in your pocket book is certainly larger than mine and I'll bet in the end I've had more enjoyment from my cheap equipment because I don't worry about the 'what ifs' as you have from your quality expensive gear. Seven years on twenty five dollar reels and 30 dollar rods, it's been cheap entertainment. Juss sayin!
Thanks for the comment. I agree with you on all points. Cheap gear will catch the same fish, just like cheap car will get u to the same place but it’s how you want to get there and with what comfort level.
