    Great hockey. Lots of hitting and scoring chances. I was at the game against Detroit a few weeks earlier when Baun was injured and had to retire. With Ley and Selwood gone to the WHA, a lot of pressure on McKenny and Glennie to carry the defence. Sabres' first playoff season. Great days.

    For many, it's the 1st time in 52 Years that footage of this game has been seen. Most games before the Late 1970's weren't preserved by networks that carried the games. Yes, Tapes of Games way back when got discarded after it was shown to the TV audience.

    McKenny actually looks pretty good here. He was the whipping boy for frustrated fans in the early 70s.

    In the great days of Leafs TV, there was a big void of games from 1972 to around 1978 where they had no archived games to show.
