It's just cool! And I can't wait to see what all they come up with next. I fkn LOVE my robot vacuum. If I could have a robot for every household chores, I WOULD!
I have the problem you mention at 15:50, and not only with blinds. My windows have quite a big seal on the edges. When it bumps into the edges in an angle, no problem, but when it bumps into the edgeseal straight-on: it says "Stuck". And no way to get it back. otherwise it cleans fine if you use deionized mineral water (and only that) . Your windows will get cleaner and cleaner (mine were clean after 5 times: greasy stuff from previous washes gave stripes), now they stay clean, but since now it travels in a straight line (all the grease is gone) it bumps and gets stuck. No support what so ever.
Sorry to hear about your experience! When it can navigate properly it really does a great job cleaning. We just used standard tap water so I'm sure your water gives even better results!
@@DigitalDavid Yes it does a nice job. But our tap water is all limescale, so we have to use tiny tiny bits of vinegar, or best of all deionized water (reverse osmose water) I asked ecovacs to update their firmware, and they answered they would do it (a lot of competitors which copied this machine, have more possibilities)
Have you had any chance to compare this with the Hobot S6 Pro? It is supposed to be better at scrubbing because of the movable pads but the omni station seems so comfortable...
I have not but I would assume the scrubbing would make a difference in its favor... that said I love this unit and station combo. It is so nice and compact and just works!
@DigitalDavid I ended up ordering it, the other one has 2 big benefits - scrubbing and corners (it has new design whete the sensors are not in the corner so the mop can cover the corner fully). But the corner thing is really minor. And scrubbing is great but from all the reviews i saw the W2 does really good job as well. So I decided to go with the setup which is best organised - i totally love the omni station and the features it adds on top like organising things, being portable, only 1 cable for security and so on. So I am waiting to get mine soon :)
It would be more useful if you weren't cleaning a clean window and show window results, not only the pad. For me those robots are nothing more than expensive piece of cloth that moves by itself. As you even said that - it is not for cleaning dirty windows 😕
So the exterior of both windows shown had never been cleaned in the 5+ years the house has been built. So there was dirty/grime etc and it did remove it. Inside wasn't cleaned before filming but has been cleaned previously if that makes sense? This is best designed to maintain clean windows!
Such a good question!! I only have square windows so I honestly didn't know. I'm assuming it might make it all the way around but I could also see the bumper triggering it every few inches and slowly going back and forth but eventually cleaning most of that section?;
yes, I have windows with a lot of sun, and it took many cleanings before the streaks were gone. (but also by hand we can't get it better, unless you use a streak-free product, which makes a film on the glass, but then with the robot, that is a real mess!)
use deionized water, over and over, until all the grease is gone (add nothing) The stripes are grease. (from previous washes, pollution, inside cooking). It took me 5 times, and we have around 100m³ of glass...
OMG, no way! I'm speechless!! The future is now.
It really is! This is top of the list on coolest products I have ever tried!
Almost living like the "Jetsons" it's all very exciting! 😂

Same!
How to put the robot to high level window? Using a ladder to put it there or let it climb by itself?
I was wondering the same. Huge flaw in the design but your up the ladder might as well clean the window yourself.

Hi .. Can you use it without the battery ,.. directly through the cord !!
It's all integrated so not that I am aware of!

You didn't appear to use the safety rope?
Nope!
this is really cool!
It is so cool!
Does it works with smart glass ?
Thanks
yes
Thank you the review. Do you know if it works upside down, vertically, on the inside of skylights/roof windows?

@@DigitalDavid indeed This is best designed to maintain clean windows!. But the 'stuck' is a problem as you say at 16:50
How long is the rope between the device and the case ?
It is mentioned in the video. Off the top of my head I want to say it is 18ft or something like that!
How do you think this would perform with a window that has an arch shape at the top? I've only ever seen reviews with it working on a square window.
Such a good question!! I only have square windows so I honestly didn't know. I'm assuming it might make it all the way around but I could also see the bumper triggering it every few inches and slowly going back and forth but eventually cleaning most of that section?;
Does it leave streaks? I have windows that get a lot of sun and look terrible if it’s not cleaned well!
No streaks. I'm not sure how but it doesn't lol

Are there any robots that can clean windows with panes?
I don't know of any off the top of my head!
SO I have this WInbot W2 and it streaks so bad.. I can't get anyone to trouble shoot this for me. Can you?
use deionized water, over and over, until all the grease is gone (add nothing) The stripes are grease. (from previous washes, pollution, inside cooking). It took me 5 times, and we have around 100m³ of glass...
What is the difference between w2 and w2 Omni?
I am not sure I even knew they had a non omni version... so I have no idea. Not finding much online. Do you have a link to it?
Does the app notify you when a window is complete?
Yes and the unit will audibly tell you too
Thanks for RIPPING MY BLOODY EARDRUMS OUT IN THE BEGINNING 🤬🤬🤬
Sorry :(
