See, this is the type of mountain biking I like to see no unnatural stuff like berms, big jumps or wall rides just regular plain mountain biking on a mountain with no artificial stuff
Every trail on a mountain is artifical
So ride down the side of a random mountain. Let’s see how you do with natural stuff
I've been recently watching mtb video's like a whole new world. How come I've never even heard of shit like this. I've heard of mountain biking but they were just like walking path riding like some real lame shit then I see this and it's blowing my mind I've been binge watching these vids for at least two days.
Haha, it's a relatively young sport, maybe 30-40 years old? This grown a ton in the last 10 years though!
Your videos are wickedly addictive Eric..! it’s my coffee in the morning and my wine in the evening. Ride on dude.! 🤩
Thanks for watching Ezekiel! Glad you're enjoying them! Next vid will be out March 9.. it's going to be a good one ;)
Epic,watched it 4 times now😍🤣
I watch a live Cam of the CP Rail Freight Line through Revelstoke, BC the cams are east and west mounted in the Revelstoke Railroad Museum, on RUclips.
I can only imagine my bike there being dissasembled in a cartoonish way, leaving me with nothing but the frame when i reach the end ha! Not really though, but being an entry level XC bike i bet something would break.
I could definitely see this trail eating parts for breakfast. Especially wheels.
your videos are so cool! Do you use a lut for colorgrading your footage? in this video the colours looks so great.
+Benjamin Hopf ive developed my own lut for my footage
Holy shit looks so nice! Watching your videos makes me realy want to move to canada :) could work in a weed factory allso :D
There are legal marijuana operations in Squamish and Whistler. Great riding :)
Since you can shuttle, is the flatter top part doable on a DH bike? Thinking it would be nice to have a Fox 40, DHX2 coil and DH casing tires for the later part of this trail.
Yeah, it is. You might have to suffer though a couple up hills, but otherwise, you're good to go.
Cool. Won't get there this summer but maybe next year, will try to take both my bikes... my trail bike is more on the trail side of things, Pike/Deluxe trail shock, EXO casing tires etc. I think my hands would thank me for the big bike lol.
Dude up front sends it but NOT AT A WOOD FEATURE. Like what’s up? Accident waiting to happen. Surprised his brakes didn’t overheat with his over use of them
how do people get back down after their bikes cant be ridden ?
What has been the biggest thing that helped you progress as a rider? I'd love to hear what you have to say!
Interesting question.. but you know, I think it's been racing. Really pushes you to get fitter and stronger. Racing really gets you into the "zone". Once you get into the "zone" everything goes on instinct. You're at another level.
Very useful information, thanks a ton, man!
I'll add to the reply.... I ride the Whister / Squamish area and what helped me most - anything I found intimidating, session it a few times. And to quote Bruce Wayne's dad, "The reason we fall is to get up and try again." Pretty soon, whatever was intimidating in the past becomes the new normal, and you progress onto bigger & more technical terrain.
Not contradicting +BCPOV, racing is great for reaction time, strength & fitness
Do you know if the trail is open in may ?
I think the top might still have snow in may. But I think you should be able to do half laps.
Most years you can't ride the top section until mid July - it takes that long for the snow to clear. You could probably ride the lower third towards the end of May.
14:23 how big are his rotors 180mm?
You know, i think they were 160, I was pretty surprised. He's actually really fast.
8:11 for thumbnail
do you speak French? Cause Guillaume is a French name. If your canada, where are you from?
Hey Henrimar, I live in Vancouver and Guillaume lives in Whistler. I don't speak french, but Guillaume does as he was originally from Quebec.
As you know there are many MTB videos on RUclips, in comparison with those, your videos are the best!!
Haha, thanks Panda!
While I have my style of filming, I always enjoy (and somewhat envy 😉 ) the simple style of your videos. Quality video and audio that lets the trail come through on the screen.
Fantastic upload, as usual!
Thanks TF!
7:03 dude wipes his ass with wild parsnip
Jk I don't think that is wild parsnip but that would have been hilarious.
Haha, I'm glad you guys notice this stuff. totally didn't see it while editing
This came up in my feed today... I can't go here right now!! I can't go anywhere!! It's torture!! *sighs*
pedalling up that road would be serious masochism. i know some nutters do it, but aye carumba...
Haha, i thought the drive was already a bit long!
I wish you could come all the way to St. John’s Newfoundland and do some videos here.
If you ever go there again there's an awesome rope swing a little to the left of Martha. I know this because I'm a local
Ah! I wish I knew!
I was lucky enough to ride this trail twice when I came over. Being from Scotland where 3 mins is a long trail my mind was blown.
+smobytoe better come back for another lap!
It's pretty freakin cool seeing a trail like that in Revelstoke, coming from Calgary it would defineately be worth the drive!! Great video, just earned a new sub buddy!!
Thanks rod! I think Revelstoke is about halfway between Vancouver and Calgary. Good meeting spot if you have friends in Vancouver.
Don't come to Louisiana there is nothing fun here!!!! Go somewhere else but here I don't think we have bike trails, and we don't have mountains here....it sucks here....bye
+Dailybumps Fan haha! *Googles "trailforks Louisiana"*
That lady at the end is making an impression of "I'll ride you till you cry" type of a female. ha ha ha
+3majsie maciek haha, she was definitely legit
Well that's gross.
That's a pretty misogynistic way to phrase that.
Awesome riding! Hard to maintain that speed and agility for such a long descent.
Arms and hands were pretty pumped by the bottom!
Crazy that you don't have more subscribers..
I'm working on it! Tell your friends and family! ;)
Nice. You can tell it's steep when you can see your helmet in the video.
Haha, yup!
Hey dope video the quality is great. Wondering what camera you used?
Hey TechPro, I'm using a Hero 4 black.
Hi! pretty nice videos on your channel, thx U! Tell me please, what is camera/camera settings you use for this episode?
Hi Samir, I'm using a hero 4 black with protune. Jordan boostmaster does a great video on camera settings!
with gimbal-stabilizer?
Hey, your videos are awesome! Just a small question - Where do you place your action camera? Is it a GoPro?
My body started hurting just watching this haha. Looks like an amazing ride!
It's always nice when you shuttle up :)
Sick, looks like a fun and long trail 🤙🏼
It was great, pretty much no climbs on it either, except at the top.
Sweet gimbal dude! I need a gimbal for my hero 5 black. That must have been a killer rip down that mountain dude! Jealous!
I really enjoyed it! Maybe you'll get out there some time too!
BCpov In 2 years forsure. Just had a son 4 months ago. So just hitting local trails here in the Owen Sound, Collingwood area for now
Did you get your gimbal yet? I got one for my 5 session but the audio is crap with it..
Ty Wells Some BC BUDD AND SOME WATER DROP THE HAMMER.
I did this run in 2016. It wooped my ass
Was up there middle of June and there was still snow. Didn't get to do the alpine. But fun trail.
Been a bit of a mixed year i guess. Big storm in August mean a ton of downed trees at the bottom
What is the name of your mudguard? incredible video by the way :)
the 0 cassette noise really throws me off
would this be ok for hardtaol mtb?
Is there going to be Race Diary episode from the Revelstoke enduro?
Yes there will! It includes helicopters!
Nice!!! Looking forward to it :)
Guillaume seems a bit scared to jump... LOL
Guillaume does not like to jump! Haha! He's working on it though :) Pretty fast otherwise though!
how did you find the biking trail is it marked out there i cheked trail forks and cant find anything
Lol his arms in the beginning
Guillaume is from Quebec for sure! Where is he from? I'm from Montreal!
Just asked him for you. He's from Sainte - Anne de Beaupré. :)
For those wondering where that is, it's just outside of Quebec City. (had to look it up myself)
Hahahha. That's awesome!!! They have some killer trails out there!!!
From montreal too ! Spotted the accent immediately ! :) Quebec represent !
What bike do recommend, an enduro, a XC or a Trail bike?
Ooooo, a long one.
Long trail, long video!
Thats alot of woodwork
I am
Good
Sick, looks like a fun and long trail 🤙🏼
The length really makes it special. Some big mountains in Revy!
That's what she said?
Also that chick at the end going to climb it, wow, 15.6km/1,438m vert up a logging road. That sounds like hell.
Yeah, it's a long one. We didn't have enough space in our retrieval vehicle in the end. I'm sure someone would have picked her up.
What type of bike?
Cannondale habit se
Nice video :)
Thanks!
So sick!😍😱
One of the best descents in BC!
buddy needs a dropper post
nice vid
thanks antonio!
Sweet!
rad!
"sickkkk".- Nate Hills
Jesus christ! This can't be true :D I would love to ride this. I could live on that trail for the rest of my life! Just awesome!
It gets a bit snowy in the winter :)
Trade bikes for snowmobiles......paradise.
That lady at the end is making an impression of "I'll ride you till you cry" type of a female. ha ha ha
What is "loam" exactly? Fairly new rider here
Hey Emmett, in mtb, loam is the soft organic layer that sits on the ground. It can be made up of moss or pine needles or anything organic. It's basically natural forest floor. Not hard pack.
I think color grading is a bit off. I suggest you try going darker
Haha, love the scolding on Guillaume there. As a newbie it's fascinating to see such a strong skilled rider encounter other limits. We all have unique strengths and weaknesses. Awesome stuff, loving the channel.
'How you running such a small router?'
...'They're the brakes that I've go'.
Awesome.

of course! XD
If you drove, how do you get back to the top?
We still had some cars at bottom and we drove back up to get them!
BCpov haha ok always wondered. Prolly harder solo
