Last Hat The first hat on my head was a cowboy hat. I tried a baseball cap but, it never fit me right. I wore a helmet for a while but, found it too heavy. I wore a policeman’s cap for a while but, I never liked it much. I’ve worn a kepi of different colors for fun. My walls are covered with different caps and hats. There are fur trappers, hunters, soldiers, fliers, and sailors. The shelves have helmets of wars of many types. You'll see colors of white, black, gray, green, blue, red, and others. From field workers, store clerks, mercantile owners, and others. There are top hats, round tops, high crowns, low crowns, wide brim, and oval. I’ve tried them all and loved many. The last hat I wish to wear is the cowboy hat. When I pass, take my ashes and place them in it. Then throw it high in the Texas wind. Hang the hat on the wall and park my boots under it. However, I do believe that my wife will have my ashes placed in the Central Texas State Cemetery. Just maybe, she'll throw a little bit of my ashes in the Texas Wind as we did for my mom at her childhood home in New Port Texas. The rest of Mom's ashes are lying next to her family in Petrolia Texas. Barry
