It's a good watch if you want to learn from them specifically who they are and how they ended up where they are now. Anyways, I completely agree about not seeing rookies - it lookes to me like they just popped out of the womb as seasoned performers already. AND I LOVE THEM SO MUCH, LIKE I REALLY DID NOT EXPECT I WOULD TO THIS EXTEND, IT KINDA HURTS MY HEART

When I listened to this album I didn't really notice Sucker Punch compared to the other songs, it sort of blended in. But for some reason, hearing it live was so different... it's now right up there as one of my favourites! I think you can really hear the rock element and all the sounds come together when it's live - I'd love to see them perform one day!
And Caitlin since you mentioned it, if you’re interested in seeing their story whilst simultaneously getting to know the members, I’d recommend their series “Xdinary Heroes BEGINS” that was released around their debut. It has 10 episodes I think? But it focuses on 2 members at a time where they talk about their time as trainees and getting ready for debut and their relationship with the other members. It has so many cute clips of them during the 2 years that they trained together.
These live clips show so much of their talent but consider reacting to the Test Me dance practice video, it’s the cutest thing the world considering majority of them except two of them aren’t proficient at dancing🥺🥺 The guitarist you kept mentioning, his name is JunHan and the base guitarist is Jooyeon (maknae) P.s. I had not really listened to Xdinary Heroes until they came to my country for a show, which I had attended for a different artist. Their set absolutely blew me away. Streamed the album right as I got home and am now a fan!
Pirates isn't even one of my favorite songs of theirs but it's objectively one of the best for two reasons 1) THE DRAMA! It's so good and they really enhanced it with the lights in this performance 2) the key this song is in is perfect for their vocal ranges, they're all 100% confident and comfortable delivering on it every single time which enables them to play around and off of each other. Yes, Strawberry Cake is incredibly impressive and gets a lot of attention for good reasons but there's just something so satisfying about the depth of his voice that Jooyeon can tap into in Pirates
I love these live videos and i hope the do them again because I think it really helps new fans appreciate Gunil and Junhan more. Most people are (understandably) being introduced to XH through pop music and idol groups and tend to be confused if not complain that all members dont sing/rap. They forget rock bands dont operate the same way as theyre used to, and its rare for all members to sing in a band. But that doesnt mean youre not HEARING them, and these videos really show how vital the drums and lead guitar are to the sound of the song!
In one of the strawberry cake music banks jooyeons voice did crack but he made it up the second chorus hope he takes care of his voice but in the behind the scenes they were joking about it and I’m glad he didn’t beat himself up about it

The two that play the keyboard (Jungsu and O.de) had to learn to play from scratch they were originally idol trainees that were then put into a band so they were trained to play piano and synthesizer. The drummer (Gunil) I think has been playing since he was 15 and he went to Berklee college of music. he also knows how to play the guitar. I know that some members actually didnt pass their auditions but were given second chances. The lead guitarist is Jun Han he is crazy talented but his personality is so quiet. Gaon is the rhythm guitarist hes been playing since he was young. And the one you kept pointing out is the bassist his name is Jooyeon and hes a problem lol. I just got into this group so I don't know much but I love them already they're definitely an ult.
I wasn’t sure about them from their debut song but after Hello World I realized I had to stan. 😂😂😂 Their vocals and stage presence are SO incredible for a rookie group and I hope they’re able to get the recognition they deserve!!!!

I have only been a Villain for almost three months. The day I met them is an ultimate core memory of mine - during a concert here in the PH! I came to that concert for NCT DREAM, no other expectations at all than to enjoy all the artist that came. BUT MAAAAAAAAN. Their vocals did not disappoint and I went home with a new group to love 💖
Maybe unpopular or controversial opinion but I think Xdinary heroes should have won album of the year, I love Stray Kids but in terms of which album I would listen to more, Hello World would definitely be my first choice. (I’m a Stay and Villain so I don’t hate Stray Kids, I love them a lot and am happy that they won but Xdinary heroes deserve more recognition for their talent and album.
I agree... I love SKZ so much and I'm stay since 2019 (around March)... but for me, Hello World is a much better album. Since it came out, I keep listening to it; I also keep watching his performance live. Sometimes, their voices pop out in my mind singing while I am doing things...defenitly their album is a top notch. Everything I wrote above is just a personal opinion, other people can think or feel differently and that's okay, because you can find different tastes as there are so many people... the important thing is that music can be a source of strength, or an accompaniment , a safe place... music is magical.
The thing is, not only songs but charts and sales matter when it comes to awards- that's why its hard to see rookie groups win ALBUM OF YEAR award despite of having good songs. Even I'm ULT Skz bias and yes Hello world was better than MAXIDENT for ME TOO, yet Stray kids deserve the award for all hard work they have put. It's exactly same way, how Skz should have won over BTS album past years... But music is subjective according to everyone and plus the bias thingy. Hope they atleast get invited to award shows from Next year, and in near future win award for same too

Ode (one of the keyboardists) had to literally learn the instrument overnight basically. If you watch their XH Begins series, it goes more into depth, but Ode originally was a trainee with the intention of being in a dance group, and JYP had other ideas and told him he was going to debut in a band!
