    One of my all time rock bands great players and pure rock.great drummer as well.I first saw Jonny kidd and the pirates in 1964 in Shrewsbury at the Morris Ballroom ,they rocked the place apart.Mal Brown ,Shrewsbury aged 75 and im still playing bass.

    Their finest hour was at Reading Festival 1978! I was there, magnificent set.

      Saw them 1977 at the teacher training college in Bedford. Still the best live band I've ever seen. Stood mesmerised in front of Mick Green all evening.

    saw them in about 1979 at the old JB's Dudley. still one of if not THE best band i ever saw and i've seen a lot

    saw them at half moon this 28 nov (2008) and they were great. spence is an incredible bass player-makes it look easy.

    Una verdadera pena el fallecimiento de Mick, un verdadero maestro de la telecaster. R.I.P. , nos queda Wilko Johnson de repuesto.

    I grew up listening to Mick and the Pirates, awesome, I pity the kids today, they are being fed crap music.
