As someone who could not stand spiders for majority of my life, I find myself binge watching your videos and now, I don't kill them anymore, I try to just stay clear and leave them alone. And your Arizona Blonde you showed in one of your videos I actually found myself KINDA liking it. To a point that they had one in a pet store I went to, so I asked the lady if my fiancé could hold it😂 I ain't made it THAT far yet. Baby steps.
Here in England pet shops are not allowed to let you hold tarantulas, too many people scared and throwing/dropping them and bursting their abdomen and killing them. Its super cool your coming round to spiders, I think tarantulas are awesome! But I dislike these wolf spiders, I find them terrifying lol!
This is exactly how I was. Absolutely terrified for 20+ years. Never EVER dreamt of owning an arachnid. Just recently had my 27th birthday this week, and got my first Phidippus Regius sling. I'm sure you'll see a cute little spooder soon, and won't be able to resist taking it home.
id recomend trying to keep a jumping spider as a pet, they are really cute and are quite active. That was the spider that broke my fear and now I keep even big hobo spiders
I have a fear of spiders but I'll say after watching your videos for a year now, it's really helped me. The other day, a large jumping spider found its way into my house and instead of being scared of it, I got so excited to be able to capture it in a cup, admire it for a minute and then release it outside. :)
Hey Kat! From personal experience keeping wolf spiders, they love more room, usually the more the better. They are extremely active and curious. Mine love to explore every inch of their enclosure. I keep mine with 3 hides made of various materials like sphagnum, cork and plastic leaves. I keep one end of the enclosure humid with a water dish. These spiders are really intelligent and enjoy enrichment just as much as jumpers. Peace!
@@FolkTrashBitxh Great question! I think enrichment is essentially anything naturalistic. Research their habitat and see what are like in the wild. My wolf spider actually was found dehydrated in a bucket she couldn't get out of, I gave her water and she sprung back to life. I fell in love with her and named her Lucky. She is still with me 5 months and 3 eggsacs later! Patricia from Tarantula Heaven has a interesting video about her G rosea "playing" with 2 small bunny rabbit toys. Even putting the 2 together to try and hatch them or practice for her own eggsac. I honestly don't think we are giving arachnids enough intellectual credit. If a tarantula can get stressed, why can't it get bored? Hope this helped explained some of my thoughts on these amazing creatures. I get it if no one agrees but its just my opinion, not fact! Hope everyone has a amazing Halloween this year! From Ember, the B hamorii who is always dressed for the season!
Your house is one earthquake away from being my worst nightmare 🤣 but individually, they are adorable and you have truly helped my arachnophobia! 🖤🕷️🕸️
12:12 As soon as I saw the lil orange fall looking jumping spider I immediately said "Oh her name needs to be Pumpkin!" even more so when she right to the pumpkin decore and was sat on it! They are all so freaking cute!! I absolutely ADORE jumping spiders!!
Thank you for your videos. I’m overcoming a big fear of spiders, specifically wolf spiders. They’re really popular where I’m from and I had many close encounters as a kid that kinda scarred me. But watching your videos is making me realize they’re not that bad, so thank you for your videos, you’re awesome💛✨
I just bought one of those wolf spiders from Tom too. I got my original Miami from him a few months ago. Also my Hogna Lenta White just laid an egg sac, so everyone say a little prayer for me it’s fertile. I had just bought my 3 rd Hogna Lenta white because I’m obsessed with them and she dropped a sac. I’m so excited!
That might be my favorite episode ever. It was a great way to end my day. I've been sick, so, you and the spiders, the music, and your creativity, made me feel better. Thank you. 👍
Edit: the Jumper I found is an Eris militaris, known commonly as the bronze jumper. It was also a male. Thanks to the kind people in the jumping spiders subreddit, I was able to ID it! Oh Kat, the craziest thing happened after I watched this video! So I went outside on my porch, & what do I notice just hangin out on the wall part?! A JUMPER!! I was so excited! I've always been afraid of spiders, but I'm slowly coming around, especially with the jumpers. The little guy/girl was so chill, it was amazing. It didn't seem afraid of me at all, I let it crawl on my hands & up my arms, it was just an awesome experience! It was so friendly, I was just in awe with the whole situation. I really wanted to keep the little cutie, just don't have the right supplies right now. I did manage to get a few pictures & videos of the little cutie. Watching you with your jumpers has just made me want 1 more & more. I still can't get over how friendly (is that the right word?) it was. It was an amazing little jumper. I'm not even sure what type of Jumper it was though. Sorry for the long comment, but I just had to share my experience with you. Thank you for all the videos & great information you give on these little cuties, it's been really helping me learn alot about them!
It's amazing how imaginative people are with decorations when it comes to jumping spider enclosures. It actually got me thinking about a cool idea for a tarantula hide, how about a giant dubia roach.
Wolfs and jumpers are 2 favorite spiders. I love them all so much and I get so happy when I see them around my home. I’ve gotten the pleasure of seeing moms carry their babies 3 times and it is just the coolest and cutest thing. I think wolfs are really underrated. They’re such sweet spiders.
I'm not a huge spider fan and still have somewhat of a fear for spiders, but those jumping spiders are so adorable! I really like the first species the most but they're both just adorbs.
I'm from Australia so that fact that I'm afraid of spiders is kinda laughable but since finding your videos it has really helped. I now don't think all of them want to kill me and some of them are actually really sweet and cute looking and the enclosures you build and absolutely beautiful! I've been chased by a wolf spider as a child but so they probably won't ever be my fav lol
I just wanted to thankyou for your fascinating uploads. I come from New Zealand and we don't have tarantulas. I love watching your wee friends as they live and grow. I can't imagine what it would be like finding one of those in your house. Great channel. Thank you
I have to say the enclosures were so awesome, You did a great job putting those together I really like the way they looked, and I'll be honest with you kat, I really didn't want the video to end I was enjoying watching the jumping spiders and their enclosures awesome job a great video thank you so much! I definitely would love to see more of the jumping spiders inside their enclosures I think it's awesome the wolf spiders are excellent as well to look at..
Kat, I LOVED this video. You do so good with your enclosures. My 16 year old son is getting into Ts and Jumping Spiders, so like I said I'm so happy to have subscribed to you. We found a small Bold Jumper in our place and my son watching you, set up his small enclosure, so thank you. We will be re-housing his L.P. very soon, can we say NERVOUS, LOL....anyhow, thanks love, you are an amazing female!!!
Oh my goodness I’m obsessed with your channel and adorable spiders , which I cannot express how much I was afraid, horrified of spiders ( still am ) but you are easing my mind and changing how I speak and think about spiders - love your channel 🩷
Hognas are great pets! Mine recently passed(she was a WC adult so who knows how old she was) but she has so much personality. I think they're definitely on the same level of cuteness as jumpers and I hope they become more popular. :)
Absolutely adorable ❤ Might get a wolf or jumping one in thefuture ( bought two earlier this year, but sadly they where way too small according to what other has told me….so uhm, after a few month I became vacationadoptive mom to four jumping spiders and they where old enough and survived molt in my care! Those four boosted my confidence a bit and found a breeder here in Sweden that had my daydream Tarantella A.geniculata i molt 2…and that one is adorable and gotten me hooked! ❤ So many thanks for all your videos and hard work! Had one of your older ”routines before bed” ( or it was called along those lines) in order to calm my nervs and adrenalin during my first rehouse 😁 ( adrenaline? Noooo, not at all)
Oh! I have many spiders!! I should say,I just have a bunch of them living in my house, they are everywhere. They are my little roommates! I have no idea what they are eating(perhaps each other?),but they are a most welcome presence here. At my work,we have vast stretches of limestone gravel, and it is populated by the most wonderful little jumping spiders, who seem to be feasting on tiny red mites. About a half hour away is Marblehead Ohio, and I was told that it has the most spiders per square feet in the world!!! I have yet to confirm this, but they are everywhere indeed!!!
From your inspiration I have joined the hobby with my starter T, a. geniculata and and picking up a b. hamorii on Monday. I'm already so in love with my sling and get so excited when it has successful molts and a healthy appetit. Thank you kat! 😊
These jumping spider vids are super cool they're in the 5 top fav the colors and custness are on another level and the inclosures are super cute love the mushrooms ...🥰

I purchased my first ever Tarantula Cribs enclosure for my Phlogius PQ113 ("Blue Legged") Australian Tarantula called Puppy! They moulted again recently and grew SO big, I didn't realise they shipped all the way down unda and I am so happy they do! I'm so excited to receive it and used your KAT10 promo code which actually knocked the shipping down by half! Absolute legend, love your stuff Kat!

Awesome! The enclosures are so cool, you set them up super well. And the jumping and wolf spiders are so cute.😍 I liked all of them, but probably Oatmilk and the orange spider best.
Moving soon and hopefully getting a basement for all my animals (Tarantulas, spiders, scorpions, vinegaroons, frogs, fish, skinks, geckos, snails, other insects, etc.) My room/current house is too small 🤣 But I hope you know how much you've been an inspiration for me! I hope I get to meet you some day!
I recently added another Wolf to my collection, they are fun to keep.. have u ever thought about adding a fishing/dock spider to ur collection? i keep a few diff Dolomedes spieces, and to see a spider fish is awesome!!!
Wow Kat, the enclosures are amazing, I absolutely love them, I love Jack Skellington, all the decor is fabulous and those house shaped enclosures from Tarantula Kribs are something special, shame I live in the UK or would buy some. What is their life expectancy??

This convinced me. I'm getting a jumping spider for myself for Christmas!
