This set came out absolutely amazing 🤩 I love the glitter placement it looks random and purposeful. I have some glitter similar to what you used but I believe they might have bunny heads in the mix well at least I have an idea for Easter 😂

They look really good. I don’t know why some nail techs buff over the gel. It looked clearer before the buffing. We learned in school never to file Over gel. That’s the Beauty of gels , cure wipe and go.

Love your videos, and your work! I always get so many helpful little tips from watching you. Can I ask how long the removal, shortening, and prep process typically takes you? Like to the point that you are ready to apply your primer. I’ve been wanting to work on my times, and your prep process looks similar to mine but more thorough and efficient 😅
Hi Katie, which topcoat did you use in this set? And is it only compatible w the hard gel? I am a luminary user and am curious about all the top costs! Do you have a top coat video? I have some issues with top coats.
What are your issues? ☺️ I used Profiles Outshine, a no wipe gel polish top coat. It can be used on Luminary. However it can stain so I would not recommend it for stylists or someone in dyes/pigments a lot.
@@NailsByKatieDutra I was using Akzentz shine on and I noticed I kept getting dots (lint? Dust?) like little pinches in the top coat (sometimes with others too but not a lot as shine on) and I kept having to brush it on to move it but it keeps happening! Even with a new bottle. Not sure if it’s catching dust from the nail but I drench the nails with alcohol and brush the dust away before polishing.
@@simply_bycindy I find the pitting can happen more often with no wipe top coats. Also make sure the nail is completely dry of alcohol before applying the top coat ☺️
@@NailsByKatieDutra Oh! Haha ok np It’s when, after application, you use a cuticle bit to file the cuticle part down so there’s no extra bulkiness of the enhancement at the cuticle But I take it from your answer lol I guess there is no need to seal the cuticle with gel application!
Oh! Yes! I do that, because it helps prevent lifting to make sure it’s thin at the cuticle area. I’ve just never heard it have a specific name. The name must be a new thing haha.

Hello! I scrub them with warm soapy water and then place them in Let’s Touch disinfectant ☺️ hope that helps

Over gel. That’s the Beauty of gels , cure wipe and go.
Because with chunky glitter the nail is bumpy. When you encapsulate you need to file so the shape is perfect and the surface is smooth.
