You know after listening to your music for a while, a lot of your works really capture the idea of "controlled chaos." The best way I can explain this would be like the complex rhythms / progressions of Fire Emblem or Kirby. On that note, I don't know if you plan to ever do a Q&A again, but it'd be nice to hear what composers, soundtracks, albums, etc. shaped what kind of music you like to or want to make. Or maybe stuff that shaped your life as a whole
This genuinely means a lot to hear, because both those series are a huge influence for me. Modern Kirby and Fire Emblem were the main reasons I started experimenting with piano more (especially the chaotic stuff). It's one of my favorite things to play around with now! I would absolutely love to do a Q&A again! I was actually considering one for March maybe (:

It's oddly specific and weird, but that's the idea with Shady's songs, and I just found that Calamity Mod meme funny so I wanted to suggest it as a reference and also got curious how such a song would sound xD

You know, that bad guy who works for the Dark Lord, but he's there for money, fun and shit, and in the end he enjoyed more battling with you than actually serving the Dark Lord, so he kinda helps you in the final quest.

Whats the deeper logic behind the writing of those slap bass lines? I struggle a lot with writing groovier basslines and was wondering if theres just any basic guidelines behind it
For me, it came with a lot of practice and experimentation honestly (: One of the ways I started was by having the bass play a matching rhythm note with a chord once the chord started. Those notes at the start of each chord kind of acted as checkpoints, and I'd experiment with notes between these points (basically "how can I make a fun run/transition that leads from this checkpoint to the next?"). Usage of octaves and notes you'd usually find in a chord are also useful (and for the rhythm, I'd just play a beat on my desk or even myself and match the bass notes to the beat, as if it were percussion, because it sort of is). The more I played around with it, the less I stuck to these guidelines and was able to just come up with stuff as I went along. I'm not by any means saying this is THE way, but hopefully this advice helps a little! Best of luck (:

It's called "Organic Slapped Bass" from Fujiya Instruments! It's not a hard program to pick up and learn either (: Figured it'd be a nice way to have some slaps in my music while I try to learn it on the real deal!
