Can I weld two pieces of magnets to become one big pot in
    electric welding?

You won't be able to really weld the magnets together .but you could incase two magnets between two extra pieces of sheet metal (one on each side in addition to the original sheet metal plates) with some sturdy rivets or bolts. Perhaps then you can become the big cheese welder or whatever you said 🤣, big pot .. their you go

Had a coworker get his whole hand smashed up by some thickass metal plate they was using a magnet to lift up in the shop. He had to have surgery to get his hand back but its not good.

I would use as they were design for WELDING. Not lifting.
