You did a great job. One of the worst kits I have ever built. There was literally no piece I didn't have to file and shave to have them fit. Lots of putty filling. Had to cut the pins off of the fuel tanks to get them to line up. Brutal kit.
A nice build, but is that a special paint scheme? I used to live near RAF Leuchars, 892 Squadrons shore base, and all the Phantoms we ever saw there had dark grey upper surfaces.
just so you know the naval carrier borne F-4E Phantom II FG-5 (Block 30) maritime multi role fighter interceptor had a extended taller (longer) forward landing gear . . . that gave it a angled sloping profile (stance) of the F-4E airframe . . . but in truth the taller front landing gear on the F-4E was not actually necessary when operating from CATOBAR aircraft carrier . . . it was done merely to give the carrier borne F-4E Phantom II FG.5 (Block 30) maritime multi role fighter interceptor a bit more lift during catapult assisted take off . . .
Wow.. that’s informative. Thank you for your comment and information. I did not know such a detail so I did additional google search. Air craft carriers technology is amazing!!
Uma sugestão, quando você postar um vídeo que tiver fundo musical sempre coloque o nome da música e onde procurar, gosto muito desse tipo de música, qual o nome dessa trilha sonora?
Thank you for your comment! Those music are something I picked up on line, if you identify which timing (min and seconds) you are talking about, I would be able to let you know the title of the music!
Hi. May I suggest, I think the air pressure for your airbrush is too high. It looks like you have 20 - 30 psi, but 12 -15 should be enough for paint thinned this much. You will have much more control at lower pressure. Also, this is the first time I have seen metallic blue used under a base coat. Interesting result. I will try it some time. Nice video.
Your technique for painting the exhaust shielding is very interesting. I think I'll use it on my next Phantom.
Thank you for your comment! Exhaust paint is one of the highlights for phantom model, I’m still learning :)
Great build. I sat in one of these in RAF Hendon. 👍🏻
Thank you for your comment! You mean actual fighter jet? Wow…that’s amazing👍

Thank you so much! Matching of the parts weren’t good but I liked the material and surface quality. I did a lot of puttying and sanding though…
Great result !
I love British phantoms 😊
Thank you for your comment! Yes! British Phantom is really cool!!

Thank you for your comment! I’m not 100% sure but maybe. I like this pint scheme of British phantom!!
Phantastic Phantom! Always nice to see Royal navy colours too.
Thank you so much!!
Awesome 👍
Thank you!
Monofilament fishing line works pretty well in place of stretched sprue. Definitely not as fragile.
Very nice work!!!

F-4E?? The FG.1 was a derivative of the F-4B/J naval lineage not the E model

C’est obligatoire de peindre les pièces ? Ou c’est seulement du détail
Thank you for your comment! You can do any type of painting because it is your model:)
Airfix parts breakdown is interesting. Did they get the aft fuselage correct for the RR engines(Spey?)?
Thank you so much for your comment! I liked Airfix parts breakdown too.
Hi , I build the same Aircraft! Cheers!
Thank you!! Phantom is so cool :)
