- Toby and James are sent to organize the shunting yards. However, temperatures aren't the only things rising when tension between the two engines come buffer to buffer.
Hello all! I'm back with another remaster and likely the last one for this year. I hope you all enjoy as I had fun making it. Thanks to Cam for the help with models and for making the thumbnail and thanks to Aaron and Jerome for helping me with music selections! I'll see you all soon with S5 and eventually more remasters of S1, including the 3 new episodes!

To those wondering, i decided to release this today instead of Friday due to some personal things in my life. My Father is in the hospital and isn’t doing too good so i decided to release this early to focus on family instead of Thomas stuff.

A fun Toby and James story which is something that happens rarely not to mention. Toby is completely in character. Nice job with the writing.
Fun fact: the wooden shells of the J70s (Toby’s basis) were actually turned into brake van’s when the class was withdrawn and scrapped

This was a splendid episode for Toby and James. It reignites the feud they had back in Series 1 'Dirty Objects'. James trying to prove he is better than Toby and wants him to realize how useful he is. I liked how Stafford came in for a moment and then went back again. I was surprised to see the passengers at Vicarstown be amazed with Toby. I loved the model of Caitlin used at 12:27. Well done to everyone involved with the project😀.

This kind of reminds me of that scene in The Adventure Begins when Gordon dragged Thomas along with the Wil Nor Wester.

Now that is how to write Toby. Nice remastered story. Also, shame on James for that trick on Toby. I also like how Thomas saw Toby being dragged by James and remembers Gordon’s trick when he was a station pilot.
I had a similar idea for a story like this years ago. Main difference was that instead of Toby & James, it was focused on Stafford & Douglas.
I bet Toby will get a bigger water tank to replace his old small one, so he might not get stranded on the line all the time when runs out of water
Two minutes in and I can already tell that this isn't the Toby we got with the HIT era and CGI series. WE GOT THE OLD FART WHO DOESN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT HIS AGE

Toby isn’t THAT old. He was built in 1914. For comparison, Thomas was built in 1915, and Percy in 1897.

@@lowgunfire2671 I feel that Toby being depicted as old would make more sense if he was one of the first of his class built in 1903.
Also, James complains about the fat controller sending Toby to do shunting in a yard because he's an old engine, but he is older than Toby because he was built in either 1912 or 1913.

This truly was a brilliant and rather exciting Toby & James. My favourite was Stafford was arriving and leaving 🤣 I give this 5 stars 👍🏻
Toby, Oh Toby. He certainly has a great wealth of experience when it comes to shunting the yard. No wonder the Fat Controller can rely on Toby to help him out. However, as for James, he is so full of himself that he doesn't understand that Toby has a very limited water capacity. Also, he thinks that Toby is so old that he misinterprets Toby's water breaks just for some rest. James certainly has a lot to think about; a little respect goes a long way.

Kinda ironic that James calls Toby old even though James was built in 1912 and Toby in 1914 (but i like to think Toby knows that but doesn't bother to say)
Actually Toby is 2 years younger than James, being built in 1914.

Once again another awesome remastered episode! I don't even have to watch the original to know that this is way better and of course any fan that writes a Toby story is pretty good. Keep up the good work Nathan!

Sir Topham Hatt may have James The Red Engine not allowed to shunt trains in the yard, and stay in his shed long due to dragging Toby The Tram Engine backwards damaging his brakes with his freight train
If it was Gordon The Big Engine pulling the express with Toby dragging behind, that would be different

Good remaster of Toby the Brake Van. I'd say the biggest downside to this episode is how insufferable James was, but even that doesn't stop an entertaining story like this.
