Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery!
It's not the sand that gets Trevor when running. It's the wind resistance from the beard!
Hello handsome how are you doing?
"Eat My Dust!"
The beard keeps his neck from getting sun burned.
My beard is twice as long I’ve got lots of wind resistance
@@Redbeard_1 yep, I dont exercise because I might affect weather patterns.
Eventually you've got enough beard to make the wind
I’m never asking Matt for directions! Turn left where the guy wearing a kilt was standing a few years ago.
You should have shirts the say "Never fear the Morvair's here"!
And "Ed to the Rescue". Sorry Lizzy.
Yes please change up the shirts please! LOL they are so ridiculous right now.. 😆
@@everythingentertainment5084 if I wasn't so far away, I'd go out to get stuck just for a shirt!
Never fear the banana is here.... It's much better for the shirt
"Howdy howdy lets get roudy!" ~Lizzy
The Morvair looks and sounds like a complete beast it's almost as if it was custom made for this job.
Umm, I think it WAS! LoL
It's sounds sweet and the lighting at night makes a great video
@@orionwarren4244 for sure
Ed: "He's lost again"😂😂😂😂😂
Ed tells it like it is.
@@modacare4546 I love Ed
The Morvair sounds so damn good and makes it look like it isn't even struggling.
I love the sound it makes, that real smooth burbling roar.
Nothin better than a LS swap
@@alastairward2774 came here to say exactly that…
That thing puts the power down, that's for sure!
@@8__D one of the best sounding LS swap I've heard! Seriously awesome exhaust work
Matt, I think your sister's horses were out in the heat too long, they shrunk.🤔😉😁
👍👍
Lol, that's a good one!
My kind of horses, I'll ride them if I can keep both of my feet on the ground. :-O
I love how Ed still comes out on most jobs and helps out! Older people like Ed need to have something to do because my pop wasn't doing anything after he couldn't go away in his caravan because he couldn't tow anymore. He soon passed away a few months later. It's really important for older people to keep doing things and I love how Ed is 👍
Hi to Ed from Nevada County and every country people watch Ed from. ❤
Too true. My father worked at a wire rope factory in Newcastle, Australia. Back in the 60's and 70's and he said the number of men who retired at 65 and died within a couple of years was sad to see. Most of them worked from 15-65 and didn't know anything else. Their wives had their own routine and hubby was suddenly in the way. The ones who lasted were like Ed who had friends and a hobby to keep them active.
Looked like your sister just needed more horse power.
That was the worst joke I could come up with. Lol
*MORR horsepower. Is my joke worse?
New name for the Corvair "the rut maker"
I think she needed some TRAILER PO- I mean hours-
On the dad joke scale I give this a 10/10, on a punny scale I give it a 8/10. A solid 9/10 from me chief.
Larger powerband
I need a retirement job like Ed has, Navigator, weatherman, and all-around old guy who has been there and done that.
He probably has the tee shirt to prove it.
Ed is still an active prospector, he still works his claims.
A hobby. What you just described is a hobby.
Those are things you do because you love to do them. And, after a lifetime of doing them, you get really, REALLY good at them.
Same here. Trouble is, you do need to have been there and done that, first. So I gotta get moving.
Ed goes to California to work his mine from time to time. He was damn sure pulling double duty in this video😄
Living the life! Build your dream toy ,then get paid to play with it all day! Well done ,Matt!
I suggest a video called "How far can I make Trevor run before he realizes I'm doing it on purpose"...millions of views, I'd wager.... Thanks for the video - beautiful ponies
Why did I just search for that video haha shoulda put him on one them ponies for the run
I second this idea
Maybe that's why he left the channel...
Uncle Ed in a suv with a sup on the roof had me in stitches. Good job Uncle Ed.
Matt doesn’t get a call, he gets hundreds of calls! Matt needs to put an office at Sand Hollow! lol
Yeah, no doubt. Have it like the local fire station, people there on shifts with a couple of vehicles always on standby ready to go at a moment's notice!
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
All joking aside, the Winder Towing/Morr yard is really close to Sand Hollow.
@@Aragorn450 And after seeing all these videos, people still go there and get stuck; a cynic might think the place was designed to snare vehicles :-)
@@imagseer Haha, yeah, I get that. I visited during the Wrecker Games and almost got my vehicle stuck on the third day when I was parked with my wheels 12 inches off the road. I got out with some VERY careful rocking of my car in forward/reverse but it was CLOSE.
There's lots of areas with better parking where they've added gravel mix to give a firmer base but it's all a matter of what's available. In a worse spot, it's recognizing the risks and then some VERY careful driving to keep yourself from getting your wheels sunk.
I absolutely love the sound of that Corvair
Same!
It does have a really nice note to it during a pull.
Always has a nice note! But you know I'm a Chevy guy with an LS myself!
Okay okay it's a truck with an iron block! Thankfully a 6.0 with a 5-speed to back it up! They told me my truck is rare! Got to love the stick shift because they are on their way out these days!
I don’t remember the wheel well lights being talked about when the Morvair was being built. I like ‘em!
We love your sister she’s really cool
Working in that kind of heat just zaps you on a good day. Working long into the night says a ton about the team. Huge respect to the crew!
3:08, the ‘hey get back here”, followed by the dusty cough,….outstanding editing and camera’ing.
Man, the morvair barely breaks a sweat in sand recoveries. Awesome seeing it in full use, can’t wait to see the new improved banana
Love Ed.. we had two last night and now one this morning didn't even have time to air down the tiressss. Thank you for that it made my day.
Ed, is great. Seeing him makes me happy. I still say you should do a segment where Ed, and other old timers tell their stories.
Love the sound of the Morvair!!!!!!!!!!!!
It sure is nice that Ed is with you. What a guy, I could imagine prospecting with him.
There would be many skeletons in the desert, if it wasn't for Matts off road recovery...
John Ganshow the more weight of the car the easier it is to get it out😃😃
Dang, I love it every time I hear the pipes on the Morrvair; that things sounds awesome!
Good call adding the lights under the morvair, makes the nighttime rescues more exciting to watch.
This channel makes me smile I remember pulling my buddy's and other people's trucks out of mud holes with my Cherokee and what ever chain or starp we had
Glad to see Ed more involved in the rescues, above and beyond his role 🤘🤘 couldnt have gone smoother without him!!!
Thank You Ed , for bringing us all along with You everyday.
That MORVAIR is an exceptional machine...LOVE the MORVAIR...
I like that this was mostly just a bunch of quick and easy tows, thanks for showing your typical jobs
The Stuck Ford Diesel truck compilation :)
You are mostly right. Number 5 and 6 were Chubbys and Number 7 was a JEEP.
I was wondering if it was going to be all Fords….
7.3 day dam
I love my 7.3, but I know better than to think she’s meant for the sand haha
@@michaeltv3582 Been in the sand many times with mine and never had an issue. But I also run between 10-15 psi in my tires, where as I'm pretty sure most of these were not running that low lol. Well and of course the ones pulling a trailer adds a tad mire difficulty lol.
The first time i see the lightning on the morvair. Makes a splendid nightmovy.
Another fine video of saving the day for the good folks out and about enjoying the landscape.
Matt your sister is a sweetheart. I can tell you guys had great parents. God bless
Hello handsome how are you doing today?
You there
A lot of recoveries and no mention of running out of fuel. Guess Matt has learnt to read the fuel gauge.
Congrats on Rudy and the Morvair making it in the September issue of Four Wheeler magazine
I grew up with Corvairs. I get a kick out of watching that wagon every day! My Dad passed down to my brother and I a 64 Monza Coupe with a Power Glide that ended up with a cousin. Dad had a 65 140 & a 69 180 turbo coupe. And I got a 63 150 convertible project. Fun stuff, thanks for the good entertainment!
I found this channel like 2 years ago. And the content and quality has been getting better and better. I enjoy it more and more.
Got a lot of rescues in that video, thanks guys and always enjoy the show.
The lights look awesome on the Morvair at night. 👍🏼👍🏼
I hadn’t noticed the cool wheel well lighting before! 👍🏻👍🏻
That little doggo the second customer was carrying was so adorable lol
That’s the best sounding Corvair ! ❤️
You know it’s going to be a good day when you wake up to Matt’s off road recovery
A good lunch
Rock lights add to night recovery. Maybe you can start graph which vehicles shouldn’t be on hurricane sand. Seeing a lot of diesels lately. Great videos
The horses were talking to each other: "I don't want to say anything, but I think there's a bearded freak running behind us!"
Great job Ed! You are a movie star. Everyone likes you.
Just glad boss Ed was there to keep you young bucks in line and get em out.
Some locations have speed traps to create revenue, apparently in Matt's location, the sand dunes appear to be a really great idea to create revenue, at least for rescue services like Matt's and of course the mechanics who fix all the toys broke down in the desert sands
They were put there for that purpose. 😄
Matt didn't create the dunes, the dunes created Matt. He just saw an opportunity.
@@dustinmeier9753 whoosh
why does the front gate even let non 4x4 vehicles in? In Car Bch NC..no 4x4 means no entry.
I heard a rumor the dunes was all man-made!
: )
I will never grow tired of the exhaust on the moorvair🤤
Me Either!! I Love The Moor-Vair ❤
Me either, I Love the Moor-Vair ❤
Keep up the great work. Love the videos. I just got my Matt’s Off-road Recovery Rope and will put it to use on my channel for some hillbilly stuff. Thanks guys.
If that doesn't sound like an LS motor - nothing does!!
Love watching your videos can't wait for the next one be blessed always 🥰🤗🥰🤗🥰🤗
Pulling that one ton out like it’s a toy truck. Love it.
Ed can do it all! Better watch out Matt, soon it'll be Ed's off road recovery xD
Trevor said "they don't make Cherokees like they used to"
I was thinking it as he said it!
That's no Cherokee.. It's a tall car. They should be ashamed of using that name on that vehicle.
the Morvair is sure proving its worth Matt..and im an old sand miner from Oz so ive dragged a rig or two from the sand in my day..nice work everyone.
Morvair is awesome, ya'll did good building that vehicle. And knowing the history of it just makes it even better. You the man, Matt!
Hello handsome how are you doing today?
What's your record for most recoveries in a day?
There's a video where he does a few consecutive at Crybaby (I think that's the right place?)
....alluvem...
" man they dont make Cherokees like they used too" Understatement!!!!
All that horsepower and still got stuck , awesome seeing your sister tho family is the greatest treasure we have in life so many take it for granted
No offence to anyone at Matt's ORR, but Ed is absolutely the hands down favorite crew member! Just recently discovered your channel and I've been binge watching for two days ... solid!
Another day in life of ( we got a call ) great Job Mr. Ed
"That must have been hard Ed."
"Actually it was really easy. Barely an inconvenience."
The lights in the wheel wells on the Corvair look awesome, make filming better, and probably are useful for moving around at night.
The sand flying in the fender lights at night looks so dope!
Matt's sisters face when she realized she stole Ed's seat 🤣
Well she did call shotgun. I bet they edit that part out.
I did not think anyone would ever occupy Ed's spot when he was with, Ed should have requested that she give a weather report.
7:08
Matt hands Lizzie a shovel: " We'd better fill in these holes we made" !
Lizzie "WE"?
Loved seeing Ed behind the wheel. He reminds me of my Dad I lost a year ago yesterday.
I like how you have grouped a bunch of rescues together in this one. That's a good way to get caught up.
To bad this didn't happen earlier this month you could have released it on July 3rd for all these 7.3s you pulled out today 😂
Ford power joke
@@danbrooks8241 I'm surprised it even ran well enough to get back to the road , not enough power to even pull a two horse trailer.
@@matthewwilliams9028 love it when people shit talk a brand but won't even show their own rig lol
Right lol I love the 7.3 powerstroke
@@matthewwilliams9028 plenty of power, bad tires and too much weight in for that soft sand.
Seems like you need a payphone with a direct line in Sand Hollow.
What's a payphone!
They should just put up little signs by the repeat areas with their logo and phone number, lol.
Hello handsome how are you doing?
Love the family reunion.
The Morrvair always sounds so healthy. I haven't ever heard it struggle a bit.
I can't wait for it's sidekick to join in on the action!
Y'all are great folks. This is so much more than a show about off road recovery. Thanks for takin' us along...
Love your “we got a call”
Can Ed tell us about his shirt? I would rock that.
Yes! We need Ed shirts 😎
@Carolus Magnus ?
I love the little ponies! Matt saves lives!
I dig the lights up under the wheel wells. Very cool!
Matt's sister was doing a little horsin' around down there. And now, My Little Pony is my earworm for the day. Thanks!
Your comment sounded unstable.
@@rkuba4214 "unstable"? That's a pun, right? Horse-stable. Maybe not. :-)
@@thedave513 I didn't mean to reign on your parade or to make you sad(dle).
@@rkuba4214 Now just stop that!
@@thedave513 I know that I should be bridled as pun(ishment) because I stirrup trouble and then I canter stop.
*Matt towering over his sister*
“It’s my little baby brother!” 😂💀
Size means nothing. She probably changed his diapers or held his bottle. Girls born before boys often look over their brothers when mom is away. It's that natural motherly instinct.
The opening “we got a call” montage looked great!! I really liked it
Enjoyed the show. Brings back some good memories from Mississippi in my younger years pulling jeeps out of the mud with a 1971 1/2 cab bronco lol.
With the ground effect lighting the MORRVAIR looks like a UFO in the desert at night.
"Rock Lights" my friend. Have them on my Ranger. They are awesome in a Creek bed, in the woods and ...... crawling over rocks.
NOT FOR SETTING AT WALMART WITH THEM ON AND YOUR BACK BUMPER ON THE GROUND.
Ok folks, have a nice day.
Ed putting in some long hours this vid!
That exhaust bite will never get old.
Gotta love Ed and his lead foot on those last 2 recoveries. Sand just shootin into the air

Matt's sister: "But I'm your sweet sister..."
Matt: "Perhaps I didn't make myself clear"
Matt to sister: "So that will be $$ for the recovery..."
Matt's sister: "But I'm your sweet sister..."
Matt: "Oh my gosh, you're right, I'm so sorry. That will be $$$$$$$ for the recovery..."
Had to charge her double. But he probably took her out to lunch to make up for it.
never do freebies for family. Ever. It _will_ be abused and there _will_ be lasting hard feelings over it.
@@slateslavens Nope, I guarantee you it was free
There still a few functional families around. I've been fortunate to be born and married into a large ones. It's work but its worth it. My bet is Matt knows how to keep it too
Thanks for introducing us to your sister…Lol …that Lizzy is a hard worker… she works harder than a lot of men …
Tommy Wooten----She is also quite athletic . When Rudy and her had a race putting on fire fighting equipment up at Logan , Utah , Rudy beat her , but , not by much . He took 55
