So happy NF decided, hats off to Asoka (even though most of the pre-WW2 achievements of NM or LSSP were not discussed) when deciding to honour & commemorate this great statesman Sri Lanka never truly understood in the past nor when in power under Sirimavo's disastrous coalition govt of '70s, except NM & Colvin's most significant achievement in the creation of the '72 republic constitution to make SL truly independent from the British rule which LSSP began pre-WW2 days as the famous Suriya Mal Viyaparaya, the only political party that fought against British rule to win independence for Ceylon & even being imprisoned in Bogmbara by British rulers. At least he should have made the UK his home after his studies there to ensure the British public benefited from this great leader as NM would have ended just as some British scholars wanted him to be their Labour PM one day ! Today's new left movement is in total disarray as they failed to have educated leaders & patriots who loved this wonderful land now destroyed for 75 years of misrule well supported by the voting public being dumb
