That’s what killed this for me. You would’ve thought geometry was her favorite subject with the way she was constantly craning her head and neck at a 180 degree angle.
I think the Orchesis looked good. It looks like capt was looking back to make sure she wasn’t leaving the band. I know the other squads directors will tell the dancers to slow down but it doesn’t look like Gram does the same.
the Orchesis have great potential but it always seems they fall short. This video in particular didn't serve anything besides high school dance line: there was no fire and their presence was almost nonexistent. I watch their youtube show and see how hard they work but would love to that translate in their performances.

I think if they would have the company altogether and then the actual orchesis team, which you would only have to audition for once. I get having to maybe have cuts at some point but auditioning every week is why they haven’t had a chance to melt together as a unit and be as strong as they could be.
Yes they need to take notes but Janae came from one of the best which is Traci these young ladies never got that experience but they need to personally do research

alj94, their dance instructor was the principle and lead dancer for the world renowned Alvin Ailey Dance Company and former orchesis dancers dance with professional sports teams now.
Y'all stay trying to shit on ODC because y'all found them AFTER other squads, they've been in the game as long as any other swac danceline. Decades. This year's team are mostly freshmen and y'all want to go in over a March out clip when they absolutely ate the dolls just moments before during the battle of the bands. I love lyric... they have the talent but fall short because of how they constantly audition so they don’t really have a team per say... and it shows. The girls don’t feed off of each other. On the show lyric kept saying wanted to keep it small so they would be cleaner but they shot her down... well they should have listened.

It's not "new people", they just do "cuts" every week. All the SAME girls in the COMPANY but they audition for events. They don't hand pick a new team off the streets every week

Alexus Brooke ummmmm lol they have a documentary for this dance line nobody has a guaranteed position in stands besides the captain they have to try out every week to make stands and I’m sure it’s her weight and Kayla is not very much versatile in dance besides hip hop so I’m sure she would never make cuts

Kayla doesn’t attend Grambling anymore. She went that one semester and left. She’s on a dance team with a school in Alabama, I can’t remember the school name for sure but I think Stillman.
I’ve seen lots of footage from this team from the show to the stands and fields and all I am getting is CATALOGUE. They just seem like hybrids of the other mainstream dance lines and it’s bothering me. I mostly seen the dolls influence in their marching performance 🤷🏽

I’m just saying if they had people to lead them like they were leading the band maybe it would have looked a lil smoother. It’s high school bands better than what i just seems.
