You Lindsey in your dress and hat are a vision of beauty and we have birds now starting to build nests, I opened all my windows, and took my dog out for a walk, Lemmon that it is my favorite, I am going to share this on getter channel
The two of you, are a charming couple. I hope more people start following your channel. You both are a such great inspiration of what marriages are made of. God bless you both.
All the flowers, plants, birds, and animals start to peek their heads out. I watch for new signs of life everywhere. There's a big tree behind my house, in the neighbor's yard, that blossoms early. It brings me joy to see it each year. I like to imagine if all the blossoms were little flower shaped letters with people's wishes and problems written on them. When the wind blows them loose, I would gather them up and read them, say prayers for some, laugh with those that laugh and mourn with those that mourn. As the wind carries the blossoms away, it carries their problems away. It helps me to realize that most of life's problems are just temporary and to focus on the good and beautiful things in life. Thank you for sharing all the beauty around you. My favorite springtime songs are "Give, said the little stream" and "Little purple pansies by the garden wall." While out thrifting, I purchased an old brass p.o. box door. I want to use it to make a gnome door on a big mulberry tree, in my yard. When my oldest daughter was young, she was fascinated with making faerie doors. We loved watching the movie FairyTale: A true story (1997), together. It's always a fun nature themed movie. Best wishes for your greenest garden yet. Hope you decide to grow pumpkins too, so you have lots to harvest and decorate with.
Perfect timing. I’ve had a really bad week and was just sitting down to catch my breath. Your video calmed me down and reminded me of the priorities in life. Thank you and happy spring!
Reading outside or sketching in my book on a blanket is definitely my favorite thing to do in spring. Foraging for flowers and watching spring movies are also some favorites of mine. Thank you for sharing your bucket list. I definitely look forward to doing all of those things! ☕️🥰💐
Where I live in the Rockies, we’re about a month behind the rest of the US for spring. We got about 4 inches of snow today 😅. At least I can live vicariously though you. I literally bought a copy of The Secret Garden at my bookstore last week. I haven’t read it since I was about 12 and I can’t wait to get back into the story. There’s a 90s movie with Maggie Smith that I remember enjoying.
Oh wow, our snow only melted about a week ago I wouldn't be surprised if we get one more storm LOL that's so great you're reading The Secret Garden too it's such a special book 🐦🦋🐝
Spring truly is here and finally the weather is warming up. u both have a way of brining Spring to my home each time you come on! Thank you for giving us so many ideas! Yu dod have your cottage looking so darling! Cannot wait until flowers do come out! I am not much on which flowers are edible, but several years ago before retiement I worked as activities director in an adult home * a stone English style mansion, on the hill * In upstate NY* , (for 20yrs I worked there and filled in with nursing) One of my programs was a Wedding celebration and we had vintage wedding gowns and some employees could still wear theirs * wedding was not too many yeears behind them..* and some just brought them in to be placed up and shown, as my own. We did have a cake and the cook, was nice enough to get the edible flowers together (purchased) for us to put on the wedding cake we served it. We celebrated this on the lovely porch in the back of the home, with music after the presentation and a little dancing *some residents joined us but our employees as well as myself, did all we could to make it excting for all * This I am adding as an idea as maybe someone would like to use the edible flowers on a wedding cake!? It is expensive though, and so we could not repeat this experience. But if anyone knows which flowers you can use and where to get them, it may help with this? It is easier now to find things like this on internet. You are both so wonderful to help jolt the memory!! Not only the memory but givingi inspiration for the present!! Getting us going once more! Thank you. *you do have me in the mood for more flowers this year and will maybe do a little more of a garden8I love herbs and do hav a few and enjoy including couple annuals in large pots, like Basil and Rosemary, (Basil will spread like crazyand tke up a whole garden so be careful where it is planted, but it is wonderful to go out and pick it when you want it...Perennials come back each year and are wonderful to have, but all are easy to grow. My husband calls them "weeds" teasing me lol As to be honest my husband and i have not done so much in last few years.( I love reading! *So many ideas my dear friends!) BTW ( The Wedding Cake was absolutely beautiful with thse edible flowers on it! Tasted good too! Made it just a bit more charming!) Someone may well bre haviing a Spring/Summer Wedding??
Living here on our mountain farm, we're blessed to enjoy these things. Thank you for the reminder to stop and appreciate them each day. Hugs to you both. 💕
My wife and I absolutely can not wait to move to NY! The Upstate area is a beautiful place with lots of natural beauty. We will be visiting Sleepy Hollow soon so let us know if any new attractions come up. Thank you guy's for your wonderful content...
This is our first year of getting blue birds. I want to make more homes for them. Oh,see you have a Magnolia tree near your little cottage. We had one at our old place. I loved watching it and seeing the flowers. My gram, use to love after supper was done . Sit in her yard ,list to the birds. She would have ,me guess who was singing.
Our Indian Heather is in near, full bloom and our doves have returned to nest in our backyard tree. Lots of flowers 💐 are blooming in our patio pots. Our lawn is greening up nicely too! We live on former farm land, so our yard really thrives in Spring.
So relaxing, beautiful and takes you to a life that makes so much more sense. Love your outfits, do you make them Lindsay?! We need to get back to nature and when we fix our home so they are frilled up a bit, we have more respect and love for them and it proves we love our family enough to want it lovely 'for them too.' They can appreciate this even if they do not seem to at first. They learn how to respect and maybe can help you . When they are done playing they can find it to be game to get everything placed back into a fancy made box or whatever you please. I just feel decorating the home makes us feel like we are living in a cottage, mansion or whatever we want it to be. Many, many, many years ago, a friend of mine was having a cup of tea one afternoo t my home, and with me, and she said " You and Danny *My husband* can take any home and make it into a paradise. She was right, wherever we have lived we did some fixing for ourselves. For our family. We had to live there and we wanted to be happy and comfortable. As years go by and your children are grown and move away somtimes, we just get "stuck" as we have it comfortable enough, but we do not keep changing things so much. But we should even bring in some flowers, some kind of life and just enjoy any'' little thing can make a big difference,' I think anyway! Thank you both for helping us "remember" This was a wonderful "bucket list"
Thanks Carol, sounds like you've really made all your homes so special and cozy and comfortable. And no I don't make my own clothes most of them are thrifted or vintage reproduction ✨

Fun video! This was the perfect day for it too here as the weather was so nice. I saw and heard so many birds out walking including a woodpecker. No violets yet but want to make violet jelly if I have as many as I had last year. I bought some flower seeds to sprout indoors and then transfer outside into some pots. 🥰

Another lovely video from the cutest couple ever! Although it's still been mostly rainy & grey here in the PNW, it's so nice to see that there are more and more buds and tiny flowers beginning to peek out from the soggy green ground every day! Love your seasonal bucket lists & hope to "play along" with doing as many as I can over the next few months! :)

Wonderful video! I loved it. It's not quite warm enough here in New Hampshire to do some of these things yet, but you've totally inspired me to keep the list and make sure I do these activities once spring is finally here. Thank you so much! I'm going to check out your cottagecore book and movie list next! Many hugs! :D
It's hard to believe that the snow only melted here in New York a week ago, of course all this footage was filmed over the course of last spring but it helps to get some inspiration going 🐦🦋
Happy spring to you both 🌼 I love to feed the birds and the starlings love a bath, at the moment I have just a tub but going to get a proper bird bath for them. Xx
Gary and I love to hear the roosters down in the valley crowing a cheery good morning! We open windows and love to see the lace curtains blowing and light shadows on the walls in the morning sun! There is no sweeter concert than the birds singing! We still fill our feeders and love to watch them. We picnic regularly, even as we do our weekly shopping! I try to make each one special with some small treat or surprise. I wear dresses every day and enjoy switching to light floral prints in the spring. We have pussy willow which I cut and arrange in a pretty vase and fresh flowers on the tables. I put out small seasonal flags and hope to put out pots of pansies this weekend. We do an Easter egg tree very year, too! We love to take walks and also plant a garden. This time of year we have fresh steamed asparagus, salads with tender lettuce, green onion, and young radishes, dandelion greens with bacon dressing, and more egg dishes! I like to make homemade lemon meringue pie and make homemade Easter eggs., seasonal breads, etc. We have a forsythia wreath on the front door and love to sit out on the porch cool spring evenings with a hot cup of tea in a pretty chins tea cup. The breeze catches our wind chimes and we look out over the valley at the lights in the distance! It is pure and simple bliss! …Deb Gnagey
Spring has sprung here in NC. I have been doing so many of the things on the bucket list. So glad to be able to get back in the garden. Would you mind sharing where to purchase the lovely “Kindred Spirits,” bookmark? Thank you.💚
Bet your spring is a little earlier than it is here in NY, our snow just melted! The bookmark is from Sullivan Entertainment, and we actually have an affiliate code for them: shopatsullivan.com/?ref=itsacharminglife
@@itsacharminglife Yes, a little earlier here. But we are not out of the woods yet, so sowing seeds in containers until time to move outdoors. But there are blooms everywhere and birdsong from sunrise to sunset. Thank you for the link and code. Sullivan produced the greatest version of Anne of Green Gables, my opinion. 😉
We are still weeks away from spring here, even though we still have snow; I did find a few branches of pussy willows. It's so funny you suggested The Secret Garden, I just last night watched it on RUclips. It's with Colin Firth and from the producers of Harry Potter. You should look it up, the garden scenes are amazing!
@@itsacharminglife I’m sure you mend? I don’t sew unfortunately but I do mend especially with vintage clothing! It’s very relaxing and enjoy preserving the past the best way I can!

Hi again would you please share some of your recipes I love all the desserts that you make.
You can find most of the recipe links in this corresponding blog post: itsacharminglife.com/2021/03/20/charming-spring-bucket-list/
@@itsacharminglife You definitely inspired me! :D
Happy spring to you both 🌼 I love to feed the birds and the starlings love a bath, at the moment I have just a tub but going to get a proper bird bath for them. Xx
Love that!
I just enjoy your videos so much 🥰
So glad to hear that 🦋✨
Lovely 🌱♥️👒
🥰👒
Great idea..I bet Earl Grey tea would smell great on carpets..
sometimes we'll put a few drops of essential oil like lavender in the tea leaves and it smells so good!
Last scene of Jonas!!😆😆😆
Jonas and his green thumb 🤣🍀
Thank you for your inspiration
This was really lovely to watch 💕
Thanks!
Great ideas🤗
Happy spring! 🐝🌸
…Deb Gnagey
Wow all of your spring activities sound absolutely delightful, and your spring dishes sounds so delicious 🦋🥰
Lovely💕
💐✨🐝🌸
What a wonderful couple you are..
oh thank you!
I am looking forward to downloading the Spring bucket list. Is there a link to it?
Here is the blog post: itsacharminglife.com/2021/03/20/charming-spring-bucket-list/
Love it! :D
Thanks 🌸🐝
We are still weeks away from spring here, even though we still have snow; I did find a few branches of pussy willows.
It's so funny you suggested The Secret Garden, I just last night watched it on RUclips. It's with Colin Firth and from the producers of Harry Potter. You should look it up, the garden scenes are amazing!
The new Secret Garden movie was really beautiful wasn't it? Happy springtime 🌹🗝️🐦
My yard is starting to bloom and the birds are chirping.
It's so wonderful when the birds are chirping again 🐦
Lovely video! Cheers from Brazil!
Thank you very much!
That green thumb joke really got me 😂😂😂
I unfortunately was not blessed with a green thumb.
LOL glad it could make you chuckle!
So very much enjoy your lovely videos....'slow living' and ideas.....(Char)
Glad you like them!
Oh boy! NOW you're really speaking MY language! I'm an avid gardener!
Yey, we need all the gardening advice! lol
Hey there Jonas and Lindsay @
Thanks for watching Lesa!
My daughter flavours her gin with the violets xxx
That sounds like it would be pretty 🌸
Do either of you sew?
I used to when I had a sewing machine but we traveled around so much I got out of the practice. I wish I could make my own clothes 🌼
@@itsacharminglife I’m sure you mend? I don’t sew unfortunately but I do mend especially with vintage clothing! It’s very relaxing and enjoy preserving the past the best way I can!
