Thank you! The song has been something dear to me that I wanted to learn and seemed suited to the man do but this video also really sets me in place on the mando in general. Feeling invigorated and so grateful for the vid!

O man !!! I'm so glad I found this video !! You are very helpful and have an easy way of explaining it. Thank you, Thank you ! I just wish I could see which string/feet your left hand is actually touching. But since you explain and tell the name of the chord, I can use a book with a diagram to find it. These instruments are tiny and it just makes it harder to tell which string/feet you're using. Having the camera to zoom in from above would be ideal, but that would be hard for you. I'm just thrilled I've found you. I'll be watching and learning. Please continue to share these wonderful old time classic hymns. I love it ! God bless ya 😊

Good lesson and the mandolin sounds good but a lapel mic running into the second channel of the recording camera would make his voice easier to hear.

Thanks Joe. Can't wait to give this a try. Looks like you are using a Blue Chip pick. If so, which model pick? Thanks.

Hmm, so much conversation for a simple tune. I'm out of step I guess, but wouldn't come back to it.

Evan Young that’s where you’re wrong. Some people want to learn theory and know why.

What an incredibly moronic comment. Most bluegrass songs are 1-4-5 tunes. If all we wanted to play were the chords, it'd be a pretty boring hobby
