Thanks so much for waiting for a new video, this was one of my favourite days from the last year - simple, but very fun! It’s been difficult to balance travel, work and editing videos this year, but there’s plenty more Thailand content to come. I tend to post slightly more regular updates and photos on my instagram, so follow me over there if you like: instagram.com/oneshotryan
I always look forward to your videos Ryan. Thank you for showing a side of Koh Phangan that I wasn't really aware of. Honestly, I would have probably completely avoided Koh Phangan if not for your video. Although I realize it brings needed tourist dollars to the locals, I would not have been upset if those full moon parties went away for good. It's just way too difficult for me to watch so many people trashing such a beautiful place without a second thought. As a visitor to Thailand, it's not my place to decide whether it's right or wrong, but there is no way I could enjoy myself in a place where I know that kind of destruction is going on. On a brighter note, the other side of the island looks really pleasant and beautiful. Thank you for showing us that. That bottle temple is definitely interesting and, in a way, beautiful. Safe travels.
Thanks so much for watching, as always! I completely understand your view, because I was also very surprised when I first visited the island. It wasn't at all what I expected. Generally the whole place is really quiet and relaxed if you stay away from the Haad Rin/Full Moon Party area. I wouldn't be surprised if the Party eventually disappears, as it almost did during Covid, however there is no denying how much money it brings to the entire Suratthani area - so it is a complex issue for locals
Another great video Ryan. I still haven't made it to Ko Pha Ngan, mainly because of its association with the full moon party but the island looks so beautiful!
I really like the idea of doing something with the plastic instead of just throwing it on the side of the road or in a garbage pile. It's such a cool idea with the beer bottles to make a temple. It almost looks like stained glass that you would see in a Catholic Church.

Cheers mate, I can highly recommend it! Most of the island is really nice and chilled, just avoid Haad Rin ;)

Another great video mix of both the expected and unexpected. Making it easier to plan a trip through the roads less traveled.

Beer Bottle Temple!

Long way to go.
I guess so, but the party side of the island is very localised and easy to avoid imo
we missed you here in the Philippines no plans of coming back?
Not currently, but I hope you can enjoy my videos from other places :)
When will you go back to the Philippines? Hope you'll be back soon. Thank you.
