Funny enough, I was looking at something similar yesterday to cut up some bushes that have a central diameter of about the same. Good to see these little things have enough power for that
Amazing little pruner, my Honey wants one, so she can go to town in the backyard. I'm always skeptical of battery powered items and how long they will last before I have to replace the battery, which is why I avoid, but this is really useful and tempting. Way easier than a hand pruner. Thanks for the upload.
Very nice! I have a small yard with small trees and bushes and this would be perfect. I already have worx batteries from another product which is great.
Regarding Lubrication questions. I just purchased this 20V 5" Pruning Saw. The instructions clearly say that you need to add oil to the oil tank. Also states that Chain life & cutting capacity depend on optimum lubrication. The chain should be oiled before operation. Hopefully everyone figured that out before using the saw. Also, clean residual oil after operation.
@@PeterVCookbut someone has to put oil in for it to be auto feed It does not create oil Just wondering cause I used mine then realized the was a place to put o8l
This pruner works good considering cheaper than a Stihl GTA, less than half the price of a Milwaukee pruner - holds charge for longer and the chain doesn't become quite as loose as the Stihl. The difference is this one does get hot quickly when flogged.
You stated that it is has auto chain lubrication. That is not true. You must manually lubricated prior to and during use. That is why during your video the chain had excessive vibration and chatter during operation.
I read the instructions and that’s what it said. You saw me read direct from the box. If it’s not true, take it up with Worx, not me. All I did was make a video.
@@ChrispyThings I don't need to take it up with Worx. It clearly states in the owner's manual that you must manually oil the chain. Besides the unit has no obvious oil reservoir visible. Either way I am getting one due in part to your video. Thanks!
did you oil the chain before you used it. does that need to be done each time? the one I got looks te same, same price point, but is not self lubricating
Hi Cathy, from a woman's perspective, what would you say the pressure of the "kick" would be when you start using it, does it have a strong shake or kick to it to get going? Scale from 1 to 5, how strong is the kick? I am a petite woman, 5'1". When I use my husband's saw zaw or reciprocating saw, it kicks and shakes a lot...to the point that I have to really anchor myself and even then, it has some strong kick and shakes to it. My husband also has a regular size chain saw which looks big, heavy and very intimidating so forget using that...lol, I don't even look or go near that thing. I do wish women would do more tool's review just for women. I understand there are some strong women out there who can whip out regular tools so easily BUT for a little old petite woman like me who has been going thru some shoulder surgery in the past...it has been a challenge. Thank you.
Depends on your needs really. I like the saw tool rather than having the file so look for one with the tools you need. My favorites are the Wave and Charge
It is not self feedind oil to baar and the bar gets hot and warps or bends ..mine won't cut a straight line now and also dies half way through a 3 in h cut with a fll batt charge ...waste of $200
I own one of these mini chainsaws and it is so helpful. I've chopped branches and logs so that they fit easily in my firepit.

My gf wants to use it to trim her lilac bushes. She won’t have any issues after what I did to those trees.
@@ChrispyThings, ditto, lilac v!ct!ms here too.

Where is the oil tank. Nowhere in the instructions does it mention where to fill the oil.
Do not forget to periodically oil the blade/chain-that helps cut down on wear.Have this same unit.
Thanks for calling that out. Specs say it has automatic chain lubrication, but don't see a spot to put the oil in.

I bought the Worx because Stihl doesn't ship. Their loss.
Where do you fill the oil at on it, and what kind of oil is required for it? Thank you so much for the video.
Any bar and chain oil. Just put it directly on the chain like a bike
@@ChrispyThings I wonder if cycle chain oil would work(garage door, bike, motorcycle it's thicker oil & tacky might stay on longer?
Great video, Chris! Looks really handy! 👊
Definitely is
Got mine and love it! Just ordered a second battery so i have a back up
Good review, thanks for posting.

Bought one and hated it bouncing. Took it back and bought the Dewalt 8" it blows the Works away, great video though.
Would you recommend using this tool on a job to thinning out a tree for storm purposes???
Enjoyed the video
Sure. Depends on the thickness of the branches though
@@ChrispyThings okay thank you for your time

Just picked one up for tasks in my yard. Did you oil/lubricate before using?
Good Vid, Ty
Hey man little off topic from the video. But I am considering purchasing my first Leatherman multi tool. Which one do you recommend?
Depends on your needs really. I like the saw tool rather than having the file so look for one with the tools you need.
My favorites are the Wave and Charge
As far as I am aware it has no chain lubrication - no oil reservoir there... Am I wrong?
But I've got one and it's great for what is for!
Did you have to add oil to the chain
Used your clip on a music video called WORX on my channel
You did? Link
Can't find replacement chain. Can you recommend an off brand?
nice tool-but lets get some safety goggles on first
Please, show how to oil it.
Put the oil directly on the chain
Extremely hard to find a replacement chain. If you can find one let me know. eBay does not fit. Tried it and had to return.
Help. Why is my saw starting and stopping?
No idea. Have you contacted Worx about it?
Do u need to oil the blade?
You do. Apply it directly to the chain
Want to buy one how much are they
Up to date pricing link in description
Will this work with my dewalt 20v batteries?
Nope. Just Worx batteries
Can you remove the safety button?
I wouldn't think so,on my string trimmer I have used electrical tape.
You said selfoiling is that true???
That’s what it says on the box! Lol
Oil?
Apply directly to the chain

I have some issues with cuts around there too.
I just attack it from the other side.
