Yea I always find it interesting how popular Childe is with the Jp community; not to say that he doesn't have fans elsewhere it's just that he's one of the most popular characters on the jp side which is vastly different from what I've seen from the global side so I can't help but take note of it.
from what i've seen, jp fanbase really think him as cool guy. also the gap between him being a battle maniac and family guy is what makes him popular among girls... i think
@@raline46 I think there's also the factor of voice actors being a much bigger force in regards to popularity as well. Again not that it doesn't have an effect globally but being a 'voice actor otaku' or even just liking a character only because of their voice actor seems much more common for the jp audience.
Kimura ryohei is pretty popular if you anime fans who really pays attention to their seiyuu. But his ranking is still below Murase Ayumu and Matsuoka Yoshitsugu. He is on par popularity ranking with Maeno Tomoaki
@@godtierbp1928 yes yes seiyuu is basically celebrities in japan. but even so, if the character is not interesting, then there's no point. childe has a lot of qualities, his personality, his voice actor, and, funnily, one of the JP fanbase like (all genshin player, not just tartaglia fans) is his meme. his "俺が払うよ(ore ga harau yo)" is so famous in JP fandom😂

I like Childe too, but not his design. I think he has a fairly lame design. Voice is great, though. Appearance wise, Furina and Diluc are my favorites.

Yeah, translating „zettai ryouiki“ wouldn’t work at all. Because doing so wouldn’t make sense in context. It’s a term otakus should know about.
