I am from anambra state I am from okija base in Germany if you extend it to all Igbo we can develop our the Eastern part of Nigeria the government should give us the enable environment at least when we come back we feel secured the rest we can take care of the rest
Good! So they have road beautification and signage and advertisement agencies! Where have they been? Are they going to mark and put road signs at DMGS roundabout, Iweka Road Onitsha etc? Are they planting trees? Roads should be market with profane-based heavy duty paint not adulterated stuff that will soon be washed away.
Thanks for bringing this video to us. But I feel soludo is doing a great job In working on many roads, but the road markings should be done by professionals not this kind of people, this road markings wld fade quickly bcos alot wasn't considered while marking the road, also there is too much sand that needs clearing .
I just wish that our govt can see the need ti start road sweeping 🧹 and drainage systems clearing. Soler street light must also included in our roads to enhance night movement and life.
This is a good development and i commend the govt of Anambra state for this but they can still do better by employing road sweepers and cleaners cocnerning the red sands and also road signs should be put on this road (hospital, children, church, school, parking, etc). Also i pray they install quality solar lights on this road and this good work be replicated eveywhere in the state.
Soludo should start marking the high express ways too. Another thing is this open gutters. They should build underground drainages and cover the gutters. That makes a city more clean and beautiful.
@yangalife THANKS FOR SOOTHING AND ENERGIZING OUR NERVES FOR A RENEWED HOPE IN THE GOVERNANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF OUR MOTHER LAND BECKONS AND MY BEST WISHES TO THE HOUSE MEMBERS FOR THEIR GREAT COMMITMENTS
Oga Edu, Kudos to you on this your constant adventures in bringing these important informations to our mobile devices. More power to your elbow! Please, is there a way you can alert the authorities on the need to pass a legislation mandating every building to assume responsibilities for the gutters in front of their domains? It looks as if the occupants of such buildings always wait for the authorities to help them clear the weeds taking up refuge inside the gutters. How can one explain the type of vegetation seen growing between somebody's fence and the adjacent gutter? Another is this indiscriminate placement of signage posts. Somebody will mount his/her signpost 1km away from his/her business premises and most times, obstructing road users from using the road. Sooner than later, they will start using the walkways for such. We shouldn't forget those that will also convert the walkways to makeshift shops. Anything goes in this part of the world. Lastly, keep making these videos alerting the ANSG on the need to have platforms where well-meaning citizens can contribute ideas on how to solve the pressing issues affecting the State. Once again, Kudos for the good work!
What does it take for juhel and millenium to employ workers to sweep and keep their company environment clean . If those company’s are located in Lagos they will suddenly know they are going to do all that . Soludo should not pity anybody that doesn’t keep their environment clean
You seem to be the only one who really understand this. In Lagos all the companies beautify their environment and keep them clean always. Government certainly can not do everything thing. Individuals and businesses should contribute their own too. Thank you so very much for the comment.
Chinedu thank u for this update. Firstly ,this is what we have been preaching, road cleaning 🧹 and markings. This is good, but if take a very cloae look on the drainage systems ,u will noticed that is not cleaned, and most if the roads are also sand filled.. The agency should work of sweeping off sand on the road.. 2ndly .as i always say that soludo is doing his best, but not the best for the state,we can move from here.cleaning and sweeping of roads should start immediately. In as much as he chooses to construct an open drainage systems he should try very well to clean the gutters and cut the grasses. I surgest that all the set back should be interlocked and trees should be planted along all the roads. Concerning the parking of vehicles, all over the world and africa.2wheel of any vehicles must climb up to the pedestrian walk pavement while two is on the road, thats is the standard any where in d world. This is the reason we are canversing of wider walk wallys up to any house set back. The problem we have in anambra over the yrs is that there is no plan for our roads. That is why its very difficult for us to have a standard roads in d state.
Nice one but provisions for car parks is very important in our streets...in some strategic areas...it has to be marked out or provided separately....a notice in Nigeria they build street roads without car parks ..and they go on arresting people for wrong parking when none is provided in the frist place...
Provision for car park along the street roads or parking lot are vital. Usually such tiny roads are supposed to be a one-way traffic road. What happens if a vehicle develops a flat tyre and needed to change the tyre there?
@emekanwozormen7519 read my message carefully..I wasn't talking about this road, I mean such provisions should be provided in strategic places on our streets or separately... am pointing out what I notice in Nigeria even lagos...no proper car parks and ppl get arrested for wrong parking...
When ever public works is working on any road, the speed limits go dow to 10 miles , its on a flashing sign 100 ft before the work zone and it must be respected
@@YangaLife Those in charge of Enugu Onitsha express way construction has it, there attach the sweeper to the back of a normal tractor, like those used in farm, then it automatically rotates on the floor, shouldn't cost much for the government, at once or twice a week should keep the roads clean, we shouldn't wait for other states to start it before we do, let others emulate us.
Chinedu, daalu. Pls., comment on the illegal positioning of signposts on the walkway by some recalcitrant shop owners. Implication is , it will bring quarrel among passersby and those obstinate shop owners if such lawlessness is not checked, now. Just saw it on this video. Thank you, again and again for all you do to keep government and the governed in check.
Mr. Chinedu thank you as always for your videos. Let me begin by saying that the road markings being introduced in Awka is something that ought to have been done long time ago, because such traffic markings exist in every civilized society. Quite frankly, most Nigerians do not care about the laws. What you are explaining relates to common sense and civility. In one of your videos, you wondered why some drivers will drive through the red light when the traffic rule gives the drivers on the lanes with the green light the right of the way. Look around the environs within and outside the cities, what do you see: gutters filled with garbage; shanties, kiosks, and hurriedly constructed retail shops on top of gutters; rickety vehicles left on roadsides, roads covered by sand dumped from flooding, and overgrown grasses by roadsides; drivers run over the curbs and pavements with total disregard of the beauty that such pavements add to the streets. The list goes on. So, if the government does not educate the public sufficiently on the rule of law and be ready to implement such laws to the fullest, the breakdown of laws and violation of traffic will never stop. I can bet you that the markings you are talking about will be there, and people will not observe them.
Keep the pressure on until the start becomes a state in any develop country, it can be done and must be done, no reason why your state cannot look like any state in fl or California which is tropical just like you , continue until you get results which will be come part of the society, they need to put up street signs on metal poles, stop signs must be on metal poles too, it is improving, but please don't stop, speed limits all along side all roads.
Do road users - motorists and pedestrians - understand the meaning of the road markings? If not, Govt or enterprising persons need to produce educative literature. Even few page pamphlets would be helpful. In relation to the signs, new types could be made specifically to deter individuals erecting roadside structures or setting up impromptu stalls, shops or selling straight from boxes, buckets, basins and so on.
I can see some people have started exposing there wares on the walk ways. Honestly anambra needs a no mercy law that will tackle all this madness, how can someone usea its wares to block the movement of people ... Street sweeping 🧹 should be activated immediately
Government should provide rubbish bins to each household and rubbish collection trucks should pick them up from such respective houses/apartments once a week. If the Government cannot do this; instead of having the rubbish collected by trucks on roadsides, Government should purchase a plot of land or few plots of land on designated areas/roads and construct a kind of park in such designated areas and households would bring their rubbish there once a week and it must be on a designated day in which the rubbish disposal authority would dispose the collected rubbish in the appropriate disposing location. Sanitation should not be an issue in any self-respecting society., and I am sure that Anambra wants to be self-respecting.
This is the worry. The job doesn't look convincing. Roads are subject to heavy wear and should be market with profane-based HEAVY DUTY paint not, light adulterated stuff that will soon be washed away. I don't know why we cut corners even in our own job.
Is like this videi is mixed coz about last part of this video those roads has been marked, but u brought it uo when it was not marked.. .nice coverage, road sweeping 🧹 is sacrosanct

You mean building motor parks along the road sides?.
Provision for car park along the street roads or parking lot are vital. Usually such tiny roads are supposed to be a one-way traffic road. What happens if a vehicle develops a flat tyre and needed to change the tyre there?

Compulsory daily sweeping

it itches the eyes and is very annoying like you say. the rubbish and wild grass growing in the gutters is another bugbear.
There are road sweeping machines which can be used to keep the those roads neat. Not necessarily human labor

You are very correct. That's why I talked about enforcement.
What is really needed is road sweeper because Anambra state are very very sandy and dirty 💯
Correct. And these red sands are very conspicuous
They need a lot of parking spaces in Nigeria. There are so many vehicles.

And the government of anambra state to host aid diaspora meeting with the whole igbos diaspora which I am part
Good initiative
Where is your yellow cones to let traffic know there is working going on, you need arow and flashing signals while work is going on
Vital for safety.
