    Slob Roommate Story: If I were OP, I'd have just replied with Nope, I didn't see your shoes, though I did throw away several boxes that were left assuming that like all the other crap she left, they were full of garbage. So if you did in fact leave them behind, you need to go look in [local landfill] for them...
    Good Luck!
    😄😁😆😅😂🤣

      @Maninawig Год назад +1

      I dunno which one's better, thinking of BF in the landfill trying to gain her shoes, or BF trying to badmouth OP, only to rat on herself for being a bad roommate... in a way that the housing could charge her for breaking and entering...
      Both are equally satisfying.

    Last story: If there was no contract between the four of them and they never helped the business grow then OP doesn't have the obligation to pay them anything. Even if they try to sue, if there isn't even a written agreement or company documents between them then they have very little chance of winning anything.

    • @Maninawig
      @Maninawig Год назад +3

      Even if there was, the fact that they wouldn't be able to state what the company does, the growth, or any vital information on the business would prove to the judge that they dropped out early on. This would mean they get 25% each of what the company would have been worth at that time, which would be $5 at most.
      It would kinda be like a lumberjack using a receipt to claim royalties on the wooden sculpture an artist sold for millions.

    Bartender story: THAT is one good bar tender and DEFINITELY the mom of the place. OP just crossed a house line without knowing it. She said herself that she’s regularly mistaken for a minor(a blessing/curse i share) so ol mama bear bartender felt she needed to show her the door for her own good and the good of the bar(something I totally agree with) and the second she realized the misunderstanding, made the necessary 180 and started up mom.exe to help OP back into a stable happy headspace and did everything in her power to keep her there any time they worked together. I wish i could work for someone like that.

    First story - I helped my grandmother with a garage sale once. There was an old two piece, two seater leather couches that was for sale. On one of the couches was the price (I think from memory about $200 - this was nearly 40 years ago). A guy came up to ask if this was for both or just one of them. I didn’t know any better, so I just said each. He asked if I could hold them for him, and he’ll be right back. Sure enough, 30mins later he was back paid me $400, took the couches and left. I told my grandma that I had sold the couches, and she asked me for how much. I told her $200 each. She said that it was $200 for both of them!! Oops….. for helping with the sale that day, I was supposed to get 10% of my total sales. $100 was a huge deal of money for a 12 year old in the early 80’s.

    If you live with a messy roommate every time they leave the house a mess simply take everything they've left out and put it in their bedroom or right in front of their bedroom door if it is locked. I shouldn't have to deal with your personal messages in our common space. Your personal mess can stay in your personal area. After a few times of coming home to from work to find a pile of dirty dishes on their bed or in front of their door, they will get the point.

    Wow! I had my own Karen experience today, I bought newspapers for the cafe I volunteer at, as the newspapers are near the checkout of a nearby supermarket, thats where I headed, as I was grabbing the newspapers, "Karen" asked me if I was using the check out "I said I wouldn't be long as I was just grabbing the newspapers (could've said that differently now) but she could clearly see that I was grabbing the newspapers and just barged passed me and used the check out. I felt like a fish out of water. As I talked to the check out girl she said "Karen" was a regular, I sometimes go to this supermarket 3 times a week depending how much we need to get.

    That kid crying in the bar is ridiculous! How is it a single sentence brought her to tears to the point of not being able to speak?! That's just obnoxious.
    Sorry not sorry but if that was my place I would have fired both of them for making that scene in front of customers. Bartender for incompetence and assaulting an employee and the crybaby for the lack of maturity, there's no way you can depend on this person to have any real responsibility or have any real conflict resolution skills without adult supervision.

    The second story is garbage. If an enlisted was making that big a mess, the NCO in charge would have lower the boom pretty quickly, and rooms get checked on a weekly basis as a minimum. The writer is peddling this story to the credulous.

    Idk if I believe the guy in the last story. I find it really hard to believe that these ppl would willingly give up their time, skills & effort for this guy to launch a start up without expecting compensation in return. Why would anyone do that & if he felt the need to start handing out gifts then he is obviously of the impression that he wouldn't have gotten his business off the ground if it weren't for the other 3 guys involved. I also don't see why he couldn't give the one guy the cash he was going to spend on the gift. I just don't believe this story. Either the whole thing is a lie or OP took advantage of 3 ppl to accomplish something & is now trying to screw them over. Just bc 1 of the guys was ok with it doesn't make it right
