Hey Man! Nice video (all of those) .. could you tell me what is the box on MAF sensor and what it intended to do? it is clearly visible on t=1:00 . On other videos you didnt have it.
If there's one mod you HAVE to do to a TD vehicle, it's a quality catch can. I bought my car at 112,000kms, put one in immediately but the intake was 85% blocked and choking the engine big time. Lots of black smoke on heavy acceleration. All gone now I've done a clean and replaced injectors, better on fuel and more responsive now.
Hi mate thanks for the video very helpful.I'm planning to install a provent 200 catch can in my Psport just wondering do you have a discount code from Westerm Filters?
I have a question. The My EGR in my 2015 MN Triton has been leaking a little bit of oil. I took it all apart to clean it hoping that would somehow fix it. I saw that it had a blank plate so the EGR has been deleted. But does the EGR need to be deleted off of the cars computer as well? (I just bought a provent catch can and will be installing that this week as well.) But my thought process was the EGR must still be opening and closing and letting in bits of oil which is causing the leak. Then I thought hopefully the catch can will bypass the EGR?? I probably need to clean the manifold as well. Thanks in advance.
@@ServiceMyRide Iam a Taree lad myself aswell. I used to work at a little takeaway shop in Kolodong with a couple of people you may know. Also would the catch can be necessary after having a tune/ EGR block do you think?
Yeah it will help with keeping the intercooler clean and cooler air entering the manifold, If you have deleted the EGR this will also reduce the carbon build up.
Excellent vid mate. Were did you get the brass screw on fitting for the end of the drain tap? My Provent 200 from Western Filters for my MN didnt come with one.
My 3,2 seems to leak quite a bit out the injector seals when the filter becomes saturated after about 3000kms, anything else That’d can use the issue as I replaced the filter and it stopped now it’s fully saturated again it’s running out around the injectors. Blow by rattles the 710cap
@@ServiceMyRide great altho i dont have the same as you vehicle I've got a dmax curious about how you go about priming once filter is changed. I'm using a fuel manager
Hello great video, I have the same catch can for my 07 Holden rodeo, my supplier sent me a diagram of how my one should be connected the drainage hose is meant to recycle back to the crank case through gravity and also probably blow by pressure so you do have to drain it all the time like I have been.... it just catches the oil and sends it back down bottom? Be good to here your input I'm not sure what I should do? Thank you
Hi Billy, can you find me on Facebook and send me the diagram, the oil from the drain hose shouldn't be returned to the motor as its not only oil, as there is also condensation and fuel mixed in with the oil and it should be bottled and desposed of.
I'm looking at buying a new mitsubishi triton and installing one of these catch cans. I'm worried it will void warranty though. Anyone know if it will void warranty?
Hi mate, Check out the Western Filters link in the description for the latest prices, if you sign up to their newsletter you will receive a code for a discount at checkout.
@@mohammedmuzakkir9803 I don't drive the Triton as much as I use to, I drain it every 6 weeks and get 30-50 mm each time, We started to make a bracket for a secondary fuel filter but haven't fitted it as yet, will put it on the channel as soon as its finished. I think both are good options to add to any 4wd.
Do I already have a catch can installed? Yes I do. Am I watching anyway? Absolutely.
That thing is getting installed after cleaning the intercooler on my L200. Excellent video. Thanks again.👍👍👍

mate you make things so simple, thanks
A perfect tutorial, easy to follow. Thank you.
Figured while I was doing the bonnet struts I'd get a catch can as well! Now for some shed time!
Thank you for the awesome video.
This was a great video thanks mate. 👍
Simple as that hey, good stuff mate!
Had to modify one of the bracket slots. The one that mounts to the stud for the brakes didn't fit? So out came the Dremel! Now it fits.
Thanks, man!
Thanks mate

Did you find any change / beneifit when you upgraded the silicon turbo intake ? Apart it looking boss?
Is this also fit for montero sports suv? Thanks man
Always great content mate! Gonna have to do this to mine
Thanks mate, appreciate it

Liked before i watch as always! Mate please do a vid on secondary fuel filter down the track...
Thanks mate, will do for sure, got a few vids coming in the next couple of weeks so will get on to it.👍
How does that drain work? Do you have to manually do something to drain?

Wouldn’t that be a vacuum leak to leave the drain open ?

Hi mate, it came with the kit as I later found out some of the taps may leak, if your tap didn't come with it you got the upgraded tap.
@@ServiceMyRide Ah ok. Thats awesome. Thanks for that. :-)
I was wondering the same thing, but I need not worry now, my kit didn't have the end cap.

Have you done a video on installing a pre filter?
And how to prime again
In the works of getting a bracket made up for it, video will drop as soon as its done, been off work with a back injury the last 3 months!

HI, I recently installed a catch can on my 2001 dodge ram v8, but now I noticed I'm still getting oil in the plenum/intake manifold. Any ideas anyone?

can someone please tell me if you can install an oil catch can on a NON TURBO DEISEL vehicle?????
Hey mate, any idea on which model can I buy for a 4m40?
Provent 200, but don't think there is a kit for that model (Delica) you will have to make a bracket to suit.
Did your catch can touch the brake lines at all. Tried installing today but all the angles seem way off.
Mine touched as Well, and the top bracket hole is too small
@@michaelallen6208 I just installed my kit today and the top hole was a tad tight too and it also touches the brake lines.
I'm looking at buying a new mitsubishi triton and installing one of these catch cans. I'm worried it will void warranty though. Anyone know if it will void warranty?
Not unless its the cause of the problem/warranty! make sure the hoses are installed the correct way an not in reverse like so many have.
Wish they made one for gasoline engines
did you fit a blanking plate
No plate fitted,
Delete EGR for zero oil at intake. Stage1 too
So where the hell is the condensed vapors supposed to go? Down the hose to no where?
Hi does it fit on 3.2L Mitsubishi triton?
Not this exact kit but there is one available for the 3.2ltr at Western Filters, use the search by rego on their website.

Sure thanks
Where did this dude go? 😢
Sold the Triton, I know that much.
