HI DENI, HOW ARE YOU?? FIRST TIME WATCHER HERE ( 1 st time you ever showed cup on a RUclips playlist for me!! ) I APPRECIATE YOUR THOROUGHNESS, AND THOUGHTFULNESS IN THE WAY YOU SHOWED US EVERY DISH IN THE BUFFET ONE-ATTA-TIME, WITHOUT GOING TOO FAST FOR US TO SEE, EXPLAINING WHAT THEY WERE, BUT ESPECIALLY FOR THE NICE WAY YOU LABELED EVERY DISH IN PRINT, WHICH IS GREAT FOR ME BECAUSE I'M A LITTLE DEAF IN BOTH EARS!! SO I SUBSCRIBED. CHAS ORVIS, PLAINVILLE, CT.
Deni arrives just in time for my morning tea. At $46 for the buffet when at someplaces you can spend more just for an entre'e. The food looked great though the sponge in the Triffle needs more Sherry. You can never have enough Sherry. It could be a hidden gem on property. Cheers, Chris Perry.
We've eaten breakfast there a number of times well before it was a character meal and have eaten the seafood buffet once. You are right, that smell can be very off putting. It was a one and done for me but, I'm not a seafood fan and I'm not a buffet fan. I rarely eat all you care to eat or buffets because I just don't eat that much food at one seating and it's pretty much a waste of money for me. This is going to sound snobbish but I can serve myself at home, if I go out, I want someone else to serve me which is another reason I rarely eat at buffets.
Erica From Maine!! Ran into that night during my stay at the Boardwalk. I feel like you must have filmed this that night because you were rocking that Jean jacket. Lol. I LOVE Cape May!! I go pretty frequently but I haven’t done breakfast since before 2020. I just love the dinner that much!!! So glad I got to run into again!! Great review, keep em’ coming Deni, I will be here for them all!!😁
I'm so sorry for your loss, Heather. The crab legs are now a $29 add-on to the buffet price if you want them. I meant to mention that at the end and forgot, so I'm glad that you mentioned it ❤
As always a great review! You are so accurate when you said the smell of this restaurant can be off putting when you walk past it. Much like you, on my way to Beaches and Cream. Your review was so good that you have convinced me to try it on my next trip in 2 weeks. I just booked an ADR for it. Thank you for your honest and thorough reviews!
Been to Cape May and Boma twice and Ohana breakfast before 2022 so don't have recent experience with buffet. Judging on my dated experiences, I'd have to put Boma first, Cape May 2nd, and Ohana 3rd. Would like to try the Roundup Rodeo experience next time to see what that's like. Another great review, thanks!
Sounds and looks to me like a breakfast trip is in order! I've not been to this and only to Beaches and Cream once. I was a big fan of Boma for a buffet sans characters. Just love their food and CMs.
For me the main reason I went to Cape May was for the all you can eat Crab Legs….. however times sadly have changed…. Don’t think we will ever see all you can eat crab legs anywhere anymore 😢. With that being said I would probably choose a different restaurant now
Deni, I was wondering how good the buffet is now - without crab legs. It is good to see that it is worth the visit. We have family members with seafood allergies so it is an evening when we dine in two groups at different places.
As far as all-you-care-to-eat places on property goes, if you haven't tried it, I really like Whispering Canyon (at Wilderness Lodge) and their skillets, which are actually $7 cheaper than Cape May (for dinner). It's amazing!!!
Just to clarify. New England clam chowder is cream based, New York is tomato based and then the last classic is Rhode Island which is clear. All are wonderful when made properly. But of course the most popular is New England. And one more point. Cape May is in New Jersey, not New England.
If I remember, your from Maryland? Cape May is in New Jersey not New England . Cape May happens to be one of my favorite places to wake to in the morning
You’re exactly right, Roger that! I had New England on the brain with all of the Beach Club and Yacht Club’s, New England aesthetic, but you’re right that Cape May Cafe would be New Jersey-themed. Thanks so much! ❤
We haven't been there in many years, but after your review we can't wait to get back. I don't recall you saying anything about the clam chowder. Back in the day the Captains Grill there had the best clam chowder we ever had. Do you think it is the same recipe? Thank you - we always look forward to your videos. Thanks again.
Love all these vlogs. For breakfast/characters, I prefer a different venue. The last time I went for breakfast the characters had not returned and it was very good. For the price etc with characters, I'd go to a different venue for breakfast. I have enjoyed two meals at Cape May for dinner and it was a good value considering I am not a big seafood eater. Lots of options. However, it probably isn't one I would make a trip out on purpose. My goal for next visit- the parker house rolls from Ale and Compass. That is on my wish list. Even if I order it to go.
I've always been curious about this place, both for character breakfast and dinner. I know that the DIS has given it unfavorable reviews in recent times, but maybe it's gotten better? Either way, I'll try it someday, but I'm not ready to go there yet even though I'm a seafood addict! LOL
it used to be amazing! with crab legs and so much unique variety. We tried it once after it returned to buffet and it was just sad and bad. Not worth the cost and it made us so sad😢
We use to eat at Cape Mays each year until they started charging $29.00 per pound for the crab legs. These use to be included in the meal/price. To us it is now just not worth the cost for what you get. Watching your video it is now just not worth the money/time, so very disappointed compared to what it use to be. Disney is counting on the influx of new guest who simply are not aware of how it use to be and so I doubt it will ever be changed back..
It was our most favorite meal out of our eight days at Walt Disney world. We have decided to eat there twice on our next year Disney trip 🙂

This makes my heart so happy, Chas! ❤❤❤Welcome to the channel!

Hi Deni, Thank you for reviewing Cape May Cafe. Great review.
❤ Thanks so much for watching, Theresa!
I love Deni , her videos are so soothing
You are so kind, Marie! Thank you for watching ❤

Deni: "...moist..."
Ryno: "You're dead to me."
With both the carving station and shrimp, I think Cape May still holds its value even after the reopening changes. I can't wait to try it one day!
Love your reviews. AND your hair!
You are so kind, Sharon! Thank you ❤
Deni! Thanks for another great review. Haven’t been there for awhile - will have to put it on the list to go back. Thanks again.
Love the Beach Club and Cape May Cafe. Had a great time there in June.
I was surprised to hear you had never been there? 😊 I like it a lot.
Love a Deni dinning review.
Thanks so much for tuning in and jumping into live chat during the premiere, John!

I hope that you're having a great start to your summer, Erica from Maine! Thanks again for watching! ❤
my dad and I who has passed since went there and they had all you can eat stone crab claws we went twice that weekend Saw no crab on it

Haven't eaten here in awhile. Coming for breakfast in June. TY Deni. GREAT work as always!
Thanks a bunch, Bonnie! I hope that you enjoy your breakfast!! ❤

We have had breakfast there and dinner as well. They had great potato salad, but that was well over ten years ago.
I'm so glad that you've had both meals there, jcr9531! ❤
Was this recorded Monday? Great video.
Great review. I’d love to try that seafood buffet, I never know when they’re going to be good but that one looks really good.
Thank you, Deni. You just made this a must visit.

Thank YOU, Delvie! Thanks a bunch for watching ❤
Cape May is top 5 for me! was top 2 just under Ohana when it included crab legs.
LOVE THAT, derrick! ❤

We definitely find it hard to stray from our favorite restaurants. We need to try more new dining!
I like clam chowder too. The Boston variety, not the New England type made with tomato sauce
Yum!
Just to clarify. New England clam chowder is cream based, New York is tomato based and then the last classic is Rhode Island which is clear. All are wonderful when made properly. But of course the most popular is New England. And one more point. Cape May is in New Jersey, not New England.
Seafood is not something that is high on my must try list but after watching you video, it is now.
Please let me know what you think when you try it, Cheryl! ❤

Speaking in verse,
a literary curse.
LOL. YESSSS. 😂
I went there a long long time ago. At the time it was one of the hardest ADRs to score! But at this point, I just do not like buffets haha.
Totally understand, Triton!
I love this restaurant

Boma is great for breakfast haven't done dinner
Boma's breakfast is a favorite of mine. YUM! 🤤
Does cape May have characters?
At breakfast, yes. It’s Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast. :) At dinner, there are no characters. Thanks so much for watching!❤

Did you purchase crab legs?
Went there once around 2005. Nope. Too many better restaurants. Boma over this place for a buffet, for sure.
