The gray "spatula" tool from the diamind kit is something I have in my studio. I found it at a garage sale and had no idea what it was. I've been using it to paint on hot press paper with watercokor and India ink, very loose and abstract paintings. It's a useful tool.
And that is exactly why I never had any urge to do diamond crafts. Every time I thought about it, that exact scenario played in my head. lol The other projects were really nice. At the end I thought you were going to place the peacock project in that cute little tray, and I was going "NOOOOOO!" 🤣
'Assemble in 15 minutes' made me laugh. Like those boxed meals that supposedly are ready in 12 minutes. Lies! ✊ The wood panel painting kit looked like fun. But I agree; the color-combo was too muted. Even for me! That's too bad about the diamond picture. I think moving on from that project was the right decision. I really enjoyed this video, Becky. Sometimes a quick art/craft-fix via RUclips does wonders for one's state of mind!
I can’t think of any particular projects that have gone badly wrong. I do remember paintings and drawing that just haven’t come out the way I pictured them in the beginning. I usually don’t try things like the diamond project because I know it’s not in my skill set.
Oh no!!! What a tragedy, such a shame as that peacock would have looked amazing all sparkly, but I don't think I could do a diamond painting, my OCD would demand that every single one was placed utterly straight and correct which would drive me insane hahaha, loved the other 2 projects! Great job! :D
My daughter has a part finished or maybe that's, part started, diamond picture of wolves. Every time she gets it out she decides "maybe later" and it goes away again lol. Just thinking about doing one gives me a headache so I won't be finishing it for her. I do have new glasses now so I maybe won't get a headache... nope, not going there 😂
Oh Becky you made me giggle and cringe when I saw all your diamonds hahahha . I am so sorry about your diamond painting what a crazy disaster! I love your other projects you made the wood panel look Awesome . Happy Swatching . I manged to drop some Prisma colors in the floor , from my desk ....
@@bethmegansmith4642 It wasn't ideal, dropping them everywhere. 😂 I hate it when Prismas fall on the floor; their leads can be so fragile and break easily! 😭
It does my head in that the instructions for the paint by number has an example that isn't the same as the design. I know it's almost the same, but it didn't have the first hill you painted. I couldn't do diamond painting. I'm not patient enough and it would probably stress me out. I still haven't finished other projects that take many hours, even though I see the end in sight, but I know it's still more hours. So diamond paintings are definitely not for me.
@@lozantoninocreations Haha yes it's annoying when instructions aren't right. I don't even think I noticed! 🤣 Diamond paintings are usually quite relaxing, but this one was a total disaster, lol.
I like the "overly dramatic" music a lot 🙂 I guess you subconsciosly decided not to do the diamond painting and that made you put it away upside down. You could put all those shiny "diamonds" into a little bottle and use it as a decoration piece. Be honest: the tray was just too easy to "build", wasn't it 🤣
@@3534538 I like your idea; I know I've got a glass bottle somewhere that would fit those diamonds! 😀 The tray was an "assemble" not "build", really! Not the most exciting of craft projects. 🤣
It could be fun to take all those little pots of acrylic paint you have lying around and make some art with them.
@@pythonsequel2924 I've been thinking I should do that, and use them all up! 🙂

@@INCWorks They'd be hanging around the studio for far too long! It's annoying that I still have most of the diamond painting kit there, lol! 😂
I do love that you painted the blue in the sky - I think that really looks nice! Oh, the tragedy of the diamonds, lol! My greatest fear with those...
@@MirandaWatsonArt Thank you! The whole project has been relegated to a shelf and it is very annoying, haha! 😂
Love the tray, the wood panel turned out far better than I thought it would. The poor little peacock 😮😢😂. Have a great week
