Thanks so much for this video!! I've just purchased a 2001 and know absolutely nothing about the electrics, or electrics in general!! This was very helpful, so thank you!
Another well made informative and very helpful video from Panda and Arnold....please could you make a video on sterilizing the water tank?? The previous owner has put diesel in wrong tank on my little Puddle Jumper I have just bought grrrrrr🤨
Great informative videos. My elderly neighbour has a Romahome and has had problems with his water pump. The fuses keep blowing. I’ve established that the pump is knackered and has become misshaped. There appears to be another problem that there aren’t any volts getting to the pump. I’ve put a meter in continuity mode from the back of the Zig panel onto the + feed and to the end of the cable at the pump end and there’s no reading. The cable at the Zig end is red then at the pump end is brown, so somewhere there must be a join behind a panel. Is there anything you could tell me where that join might be? Thank you for your time.
Hiya. The pump is switched by the tap itself, so wiring probably runs from Zig to tap and then to pump. If that is the case, it'll be a case of tracing the wire from the tap to the pump. These old C15 Romahomes can be a challenge! I wish you luck.
Yes, I suddenly realised last night that to activate the pump you need to turn the tap on😮! I was very excited this morning to put the meter across the wires and get my neighbour to turn the tap and see the meter race up to 12v. He’s a very happy man. Thank you for getting back to me.
I have a Romahome hylo C15 same as yours. My water pump suddenly stopped working. I wondered if it could be the fuse but can't seem to find it. Any suggestions you could offer would be gratefully received.
Hi there. I you have a Zig unit, the fuse is below the the Pump switch on the panel. If you don't have a Zig unit, it's a case of tracing the wires back from the pump until you find the fuse. It could also be the switch inside the tap, they are known to give up. Taps are still available new. Hope this helps.
@@pandabloke many thanks! I have a Zig unit, yes, so will try the fuse and then the tap. I have the older version of tap where there is a fragile little lever which you have to flip over to switch tap on. Very grateful for your help and time x
Hi Patsy. If you mean the heating system in the habitation area, I'm afraid I haven't got any heating in Hettie. If you mean the cab area, I have another video on this channel demonstrating just that. Thanks for your interest. Panda.
My son has the same but his lights have gone off, is there a fuse of some kind that needs changing? Sorry new and green to the camper caravan screen! He runs a diesel heater and that works but the other electric s dont
H Victoria. I assume you mean the cabin lights? Make sure that the main switch on the panel is set to the caravan setting. Also there is a fuse for the lights on the panel under the switch that says 'Lights.' Hope this helps.
@@victoriaevans5233 Hiya. They should be below the switch on the panel and just unscrew the holder. Fuses should be available from any motor factor, like Halfords.
He has had a diesel pump put in and everything ok it runs off the leisure battery and is working but everything else has stopped . Do you think it's a fuse for the lights or a connection?
@@victoriaevans5233 Hiya. Sounds like the people who fitted the diesel heater have inadvertently disconnected everything else from the leisure battery. Have a look around the leisure battery for a wire that is hanging loose and disconnected. Hope this helps.

Hiya. Now problem, glad it proved to be useful.
Thank you for your video's as I am seriously thinking about buying a Romahome.
Hi Peter. No problem. Good luck in your search. Panda
Excellent informative video thanks Panda 👍

Hi mermaid. I shall add that to the list, no problem! Thanks for watching as always.

Can you show the heating system
