Just wait a fucking minute. The grenade in the service elevator thing is amazing, it wouldn't be so mind-blowing nowadays, but I never would've thought that to be possible when I played this back then. Am I alone on this? That's fucking sick.

holy fuck the nostalgia this game brings back.. very very few games manage to send eerie vibes like this game does.. for some reason they nailed the storytelling, really a masterpiece..
Recently went back to this game (MP2 as well) and convinced like 5 other friends to play it too. Trying to master the levels in this game is beyond fun. For my finale and 4th playthrough I decided to try to beat it on the hardest difficulty using no quicksaves which required mastering a lot of long sections and learning some tricks such as rapid fire shotgun diving. I thought it'd be frustrating but it was actually so much fun and so gratifying when I finally knocked down the tower at the end. By far the most brutal section was part 1 of Aesir tower, extremely long section to play without dying. This game slaps super hard and I can't wait for the remake. I hope they stay as true to the OG as possible.
Man so awesome to see somone else still playing that. That game was dark and captivating for its time and still to this day imo. And the narration is what really takes the cake.
I just played and finished mp3 a few days ago, for the first time. And this one for sure was the true " fall of Max Payne", I was so disappointed by so many things...
@@DJRevanBingo, it’s nothing like the first 2 games, such a jump in the look and feel that it just doesn’t connect. It wasn’t made by the same people and it shows.

I'm currently playing MP1 for the very first time in my life in 2024. I love this game! It is still so fun and atmospheric despite of being old and clunky sometimes.
It's funny, I'm sure we all have that one game we have played so much that we memorise all the spawns and kill everything before they have a chance to begin their AI routine
I never got into the habit of using grenades (or molotov cocktails), I always stack them in the inventory and forget about them… I should try and use them more often! It could be an interesting way of playing a beloved game I thought I could play with my eyes closed :)
I bought the CD for $5 cents, not original for sure, I am from Morocco and that 5 cents of dollars was alot to me as a kid, it really worth it, this is was; one of the best games ive played
I remember finding out that you cannot kill yourself with grenade launcher in bullet time so whenever there was an annoying or hard room there was a solution

I've played the game 3-4 times... never thought either. And I used throw ables often. As they aren't frequent

Max Payne had more horror vibes than horror games.
So you did not play any horror game worth mentioning?
