The thing that separates Gundam X and Gundams like the Virtue is that despite the commonplace of gerobi weapons in gundam, they exemplify the gravity of having such a weapon with the time required to bring them to bear. On the other side, Gundams like Wing Zero and Strike Freedom throw them out with almost painful ease and it feels like nothing.
Double X is easily my favorite AU Gundam, from its design, the way it fires its Twin Satellite Cannon, its just awesome and heavily underrated too thanks to Gundam X never leaving Japan.

Sadly I'm sure the AU trilogy tagalog dub was never fully archived in the internet, as that was the time when Filipino's were less tech savvy. Some of it is probably lost to time or just hanging around in some TV guys house. Which is sad considering these are the voices of my childhood, I can't even hear them now.
The X-Divider is severely underrated. While not as powerful as the GX in terms of raw firepower, it made up for the gap with its relatively higher versatility. Another thing worth noting is that the X-Divider was made from scrap parts collected by Kid Salsamille... yes, scrap.
Same here preferring XDv over the X and DX for the versatility, as the satellite cannon seemed too conditional to be an effective weapon. I was wondering as the kit had WW2 style stick grenades, were those ever used in the series?
Welcome back! And ooooo GX let's go ooooo. I've always loved the GX and DX in design. GX just had that bad ass sheathe look with the satellite cannon, DX has proper wings. I also like Garod as a main character. Teen finding his way and doing what he can to help out those he cares for. Had a very wholesome relationship with Tifa.
Dam how i wish there was more Gundam X out there. It was and remains a great departure from the standard Gundam formula and disavowed the importance of "chosen people"

I was hoping that the Frost Brothers would've turned themselves around. What a letdown. Oh well. I think Gundam X is an underrated gem. Sure, its ending was really rushed, but it manages to give closure to the major conflicts in the series.

That is the moon out is a very fancy joke and in my school vr game the gundam dx is a unit that got the worse end of the stick as being 1 of 5 units that shows up with the Ariel rebuild anyway it had a lore breaking bit where the dx used equestrian magic to override the system and fired the twin satellite cannons during it Goalius clothesline it before fire and made the shot scim Phobos 1 of mars moons and blow a hole through Jupiter and the blast hits and destroyed a els class g dreadship and caused the els to send in there new whiplash units (modified gnxs 4 that have a heat rod that only electrocute the mobile suit and the Voltage gose to 10 million bolts of electricity) and then garrod is almost electrocuted to death if it went from the unexpected arrival of the f.cking frost brothers (you know that in South park the fractured butthole game the alternate human kite enemy appears and he's a useless dork that what there role in the game)
I read aomewhere that the Double X's extreme heat dispersion when using the Twin Satellite Cannons is so hot that it can act as a barrier to defend the DX from enemy suits.
I really like this episode, because Gundam X was one of my favorite gundam series. Recently built a reissue of HG the gundam x divider. I hope we got HG Leopard and Leopard destroy soon, the NG was just a sad build not to mention the built figthers edition. Maybe an HLMS for leorpard soon 🫠

I think the satellite Canon can still be used during the day for as long as the moon is in orbit or that the moon base can detect the gundam X to be within its orbital range. So day or night it can fire...
Before the 7th Space War, it used to have deflection stations in space to allow Gundam X to collect Microwave beam from literally anywhere on Earth or in a bigger range when it's in space. However, those stations were destroyed during the 7th Space War which leaded to Gundam X not able to use Satellite Cannon during daytime anymore...
I hope in the near future maybe we could get the qubely/demeter line sorry to comment it just hyped for that video I know it will be great like the rest you have and will make in the future!
I may sound crazy but hear me out, Twin Satellite Cannon + Twin GN Drive System + More advanced cooling system for TSC = Rapid Fire high power Satellite Cannons not to mention Trans-Am which increases the MS's performance by 3x. That would make the already powerful DX nearly unstoppable in terms of long range firepower and CQC.
@@zethythonix I also thought adding Destiny Gundam's weapons would definitely increase DX or should I say GN-9900 DX's versatility on the battlefield and GN Drives provide amazing propulsion on all terrain types also it makes DX fly.
maybe its just me, but its kinda funny or maybe intentional (?) Double X despite being upgrade, its booster looks boring or feels more retro versus Gundam X. Gundam X in earlier episodes use its X-shaped microwave as floating system that also shines when used, way cooler imo. while DX booster on its back looks tiny and doesnt feel it doesnt generate enough thrust to fly around on atmosphere. altho X shaped microwave thing can hinder too if they need to fly from tighter space
you mention that the UNE developped three secret MS (gundams) but forgot the Gundam Belphagor which was developped at the same time. You talk about the weakness of the satellite cannon (needing to have an uninterrupted path to the Moon) but forget the reason why it's called satellite cannon. During the war, there were several relay satellites in orbit that could redirect the microwave beam towards a GX even if the Moon wasn't out. After the war though, most/all of the satellites were destroyed or just malfunctionned, but the satellite system's weakness was not a design flaw, so you can't really say that the other weapons were made to solve those weaknesses.

i think the idea that the satellite canon can only be fired at night on earth is wrong. If i remember it right, data about gundam x clearly says it can use the satellite canon for as long as the moon is within orbit from the Gundam X's location day or night.
According to SD G Generation games, before the A.W. era begun, there was central stations to twist and redirect the microwave to Gundam X, making sure it can fire the Satellite Cannon at anytime. After the war, all the stations are doomed, that's why it can only be fired right after dawn, night or before sunset

The AW timeline is horribly underutilized. For what is essentially a stand-alone series, it had a lot of personality and an immense amount of potential for pre- and post-war stories. I hope Sunrise gives it another look at some point. It's nowhere near as shit as SEED, after all... and they give SEED almost as much attention as Unicorn.
If you've never heard of it yet, Gundam X had a sequel manga called Under The Moonlight, which takes place 7 years after the end of the series finale. It's a really good read, I highly recommend it.

Do your research, fellow western Gundam fans! In all seriousness though, the Gundam X and its lineage are fantastic designs, The High Grades are pretty good (I own a Double X and I've purchased an X-Divider) and After War X is a show I'll happily watch one of these days. It sure holds up/will hold up better than the current Gundam show, that's for sure (the one I refuse to refer to with its brand name because it is NOT Mobile Suit Gundam, no matter what its devoted fans say on Twitter). Oh, and it's great you're feeling better after a long while.

It really is a crash-course on how not to continue your series after a six-year hiatus.
