Seeing all my villagers here is feeling of nostalgia.
I was in 2nd class when war was fought.
We hide ourselves under stones to protect ourselves from bomb and shellings.
Perhaps the locals also helped the armies to fought the war.
Yes, the local population's determination has helped Indian Armed Force achieve its strategic objectives, right from 1947.

BSF played a very big role with its one unit keeping only forward post under its control even during winter which provided for Army to launch attacks and BSF Artillary also gave big hit before Bofors take over. The G Branch of BSF also provided critical intel for operations.

Bro For your kind info BSF doesn’t get deployed in JnK. They are only deployed in Rajasthan n Gujrat borders. I am from BSF itself
@@indianwarrior273 BSF is deployed and is shown in J&K in news everyday. IG Jamwal is officer of Jammu frontier. The above thing i wrote is written in official history documents of BSF

It's because the military and political powers there are not in harmony. The military doesn't want peace with India as it would lead to a budget cut in military spending. As long as Pak military remains influential in Pakistani politics, the civilian government cannot ensure a peace deal with India.
That was a betrayal from Pakistan, but India taught them a very good lesson which they will never forget.
The kind of torture they did with Lieutenant Saurabh Kalia & his patrol team is ruthless. A soldier never does such type of things to another soldier.
There are many things which demoralises me as a citizen of India but all of them is always surpaased by the pride I have about being born in a nation witj such a strong, experienced and disciplined Army, Airforce and Navy. Never have our country had a coup which proves that the army under the Indian Constitution is the best in the world

I had had glimpses of these episodes during THE FIFTY DAY WAR (play) days.. and always wanted to see them but couldn't. And now after about 22 years I get to see it all.. I am ecstatic.. And to hear the voice of my idol, my ideal, the greatest showman of Indian theatre - Mr. Aamir Raza Husain is ineffable...

I was at kargil during that time. The TV tower was never blown. The ammunition was not destroyed but definitely large amounts ammunition was destroyed which was kept outside to transport to forward areas.

@@thoughtful110 I don't question the documentary..... Actually I lived in kargil and I Still remember that Sunday when ammunition Deepu was hit and ammunition outside caught Fire... There were nearly 30/jawans who were presumed to dead and lucky with the blessing of God all of them were saved . even before war was declared my own school was hit by heavy artillery shell... I has narrow escape... But lost few friends..... Thanks for this documentary... I am sharing it with my friends ..God bless India and Indian defence forces

One way to inspire children to join Indian military, which to me is a more honorable profession than being a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer, an IT person. FAR more honorable. Otherwise, it would become illegal to say Satyameva jayate, if not attached to a death sentence.

Nawaz sharif mentioned in an interview that he never wanted a war and was helpless during war
Nawaz Sharif is a career politician from a business family and has no real ideology. He is in it for money and power and feeds his ego off the cheers of his followers. Pakistani PM is of course helpless in a lot of matters. Musharraf on the other hand is a ideologue and that too a delusional one. Just read his book and his speeches and you will realize that he is delusional and has grandeur complex. At every step he tries to separate himself from India, despite being born in Delhi. He mentions about his ancestral village in Haryana but then also mentions that his ancestors were Arabs who migrated there and he is a direct descendant of Prophet Mohammed. He mentions something about Turkey and then says that his mother tongue Urdu is a derivative of the Turkish language of the modern day country of Turkey! He keeps on self praising that how he is a brilliant planner and how Kargil was a military master stroke and epitome of military planning and was lost because Nawaz Sharif's cowardice. Musharraf lives on a parallel plane of existence.
He is right in this country PM election every thing is controlled by army and army is running the country... so this army have a country not otherwise
He was altogether happy to become Pakistan's "Fateh-E-Kashmir" but once things went south real fast, Nawaz Sharif threw Musharraf under the bus.
