They say there's never been a world like this in Star Wars, but to me it just looks like current-gen Dantooine. No reason they couldn't have taken a KotOR world and brought it into wherever this sits in the timeline.
Genuinely though.. I swear to fking god the way to Star Wars fans hearts is so goddamn simple but they do everything but
@@ComradeNexus you definitely make a valid point. Although I do think they did well with what they're presenting nonetheless. :)
Yep...considering that the established lore has already so many different worlds and planets in the galaxy they could have used one of the other...I mean there would be plenty of planets with a jungle or tropical like biomes to use.
I honestly think it looks fine 🤷 a lot of the hate seems a bit over the top to me. Reminds me of how everyone treated Guardians of the Galaxy before it came out and that was a banger, that said you never know with Ubisoft.
Day one for me
Good luck putting your trust in Ubisoft, they’ve never never let us down before..
The British IGN guy is basically like the way newscasters all sound the same.
IGN is based in the South, London/Brighton I think (we call Brighton 'London by the Sea', lots of rich people from London have a second home in Brighton). It's also where a lot of the UK media is based, TV/Radio/press/publishing/advertising etc.
Kitguru is the only UK channel I know with northern ascents from some staff, it's a tech review channel like a small GN.
Clarkson's Farm is one of the few TV shows I know with a strong accent, it's a shame it's so rare. Sadly some people find a strong ascent hard to understand, there is a push for a uniform accent in media sadly.
Looks like Far star cry: outlaws of pandora 😂
Devs seem really passionate about this game, so I'm willing to wait and see before writing the game off entirely.
The game itself looks great but the protagonist is so generic it hurts!
I for one am all for more Appalachian inclusivity in game journalism.
I am very grateful to be a concept artist. So awesome to be able to create and build worlds in my head.
@@Jacksonmontyart wow that sounds incredible
Luke is sounding more and more like a midnights edge guest everyday lol.
0:47 my adhd brain realized he has an accent too
It's not the worlds first open world Star Wars game. "Star Wars Galaxies was a Star Wars themed open world MMO developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. Released on June 26, 2003 to much critical acclaim, it spawned three expansions through 2005. The game was completely overhauled in the last expansion, which frustrated many longtime subscribers."
mass effect andromeda 2
I really hope this game is awesome.
I really want this game to be a big hit, but I have a bad feelling about it
Honestly I’m just looking for a nice immersive Star Wars world that I can play around in. Jedi survivors atmosphere had me just walking around looking at every detail
I see what you did there.
From a gameplay perspective it sounds promising, example being the approach to unlocking new abilities through side quests.
@@blankken8071 same here
I see what you did there.
Keep drawing, man! You can get there - it just takes time and dedicated practice. Their sketchbooks look like that now because they've filled many before with stuff that doesn't look as good building up their visual library
Who took my thing!?
hoping it turns out good! 🙏🏼
I hope this game is good man
Seems cool. I think I’ll watch a play through of the game on RUclips.
Bro you named my hometown, “where are the people from the depth of Middlesbrough”
Such a small town so surprised you said that! Took me by surprise big time
How do you know about Middlesbrough??
Can't wait until August
Luke you should look into a little bit of Legends lore. The shit right after Return of the Jedi is badass. Lots of Imperial warlords vying for power. FAR better than any Disney “Star Wars”
@blankken8071 Why couldn't we be doing some of that. I'd love to be a moff or darksider.
Read the aftermath books. Shows the same shit
This game looks good. I don’t see what people are saying looks bad about it!?
Let's face it in this day and age "gamers" like to bash everything
I guess a general lack of trust in ubisoft
@@bonjour2838 I have less trust for EA but nobody mentions this but people buy their games and their mostly the same thing. Here we have something brand new, open world experience but yet gamers on their high horse pick at the wrong things. Absolutely blinded and highly disrespectful to true creative designers and story telling but still buy EA repetitive games with no argument. This is madness
Probably the ps3 era explosion effects, the 70’s woodstock face and hair of the character (that has to be a woman of course…) probably the god awful telegraphed takedowns where a 115lb woman is bar knuckle knocking out storm troopers with helmets with one punch, probably the poor excuse of stealth mechanic footage, the typical annoying Ubi$oft special of a worthless companion, the fact that the protagonist looks like she has a full poop diaper running, the typical fetch quests with zero substance, and could also be the lazy looking combat and barren map. Just a few things. Also looks horrific in all the new footage as Ubi$oft tends to do. This game looks like a typical ubi turd game with the Star Wars name attached. I wonder how many gay characters they’ll have in this one!!
Because you could just be playing fallout new Vegas 😇
If you’re a Star Wars fan then the Acolyte is worth a watch. Sol and the main villain are both amazing characters .
The game looks more promising with each video uploaded❤🎉
Lukes Tangents are kinda weird sometimes.
Also, why are all the aliens more beautiful than the main character???
i honestly dont see why people call her ugly... i think she looks cute
Don't even care....hyped for this game. I just hope it works on launch.
Imagine putting so much work into a game no one‘s gonna play 😂
im going to play it if its good
Looks kinda cool but them telling me to get used to not owning their games but just accessing them so they can pull them anytime just made me not preorder period. Theres other games i can own and play.
Bro, are for real? "The corrupt side of the empire wasn't explored that much in the movies?". The very emperor was a dark lord sith who ruled the galaxy with an iron fist, I don't think you can get more corrupt than that. Lol.
FYI I did see the rest of the commentary where you said you aren't that familiar with it, i just wanted to say that anyway.
Yeah, no, we saw the cruelty of the empire in a global way, but we never knew its internal organization, the politics, or how crime existed under a time when the emperor and the stormttoopets existed.
Do MMOs like Galaxies or the third KotOR not count as ‘open world’ anymore? In that case, I invented electricity and smartphones. You’re welcome.
Is this "New moon" they're making happen to be "On Monday" 😏😏
Kinda makes you feel bad this game will do so poorly after all that work. OH WELL
Please don't be a generic ubisoft game Please 🙏
I know that's like wishing for a Miracle.
It's kinda looking like it tbh. It could still be good
The protagonist is already the most generic and boring character.😢
1:26 😂😂😂😂😂Agree 100%
Jedi fallen order is super fun, can’t wait to finish it and jump straight into survivor
survivor is an awesome sequel...the gameplay gets alot more enjoyble...i hope they stick the landing with the 3rd
Wow a moon that looks like africa
The talent and creativity of Ubisoft's artists has never been in question. What's got me skeptical is the gameplay systems and narratives within the game world and whether they're up to par
Liveservice is a bit of a scam. It procrastinates and dilutes the inevitable while taxing your dreams and hopes. At the end of a day you are unlikely to get what you really want but you can only arrive at that conclusion after peroid of time(and amout of money you would usualy not pay). You watch the game trailer and hope for the best, year later you play the game and still hope that next patch will fix things. The great circle of inevitability.
This game is not live service.
Well I hate used moons, so I should be good...
None of the "buzzwords" the devs are using new to the gaming world. They're talking like they're the first studio to discover environmental storytelling yada yada. None of this matters when your mc is ugly af and you're gonna be forced to look at it with the countless cutscenes and yet another empty world with fetch quests.
Oh we all know the demographics they'll use for a savannah planet.
Will this moon be canon?
@@AngelOfDæth_4 they have already said that it will be. Even say it in the video
@@DragonAge87 I hadn't reached that part yet. But thanks for your kind informative answer
@@AngelOfDæth_4the moon and new crime syndicate, the ashiga clan are both canon.
This looks like Starwars Open-world: Scattered, we wanted a Starwars Open-world: Single piece, where every aspect of the game is well conjoined and interconnected, this looks like factory produced, not hand-crafted
the game looks worse with each new video released
Sadly, true.
Yeah NGL. Some of the lighting is weird.
They keep releasing gameplay on the series S. If only they could show us gameplay on the Series X or ps5.
? How so?
Nah it looks good
Guess my accent 😂
Flat panels ftw
I not sure if im really excited for this game or not. I really want this to be good. I love Star Wars. But every time I think of Star Wars, I think of the Acolyte and then sad and angry.
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Acolyte was good. Sue me
@@victory7763 no, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Really wish I did, just wasn’t for me. Disney Star Wars just ain’t hittin for me.
It would be a wasted oppurtunity to not add at least 1 city hub like Coruscant. Ubi having star wars and all they can come up with is wastelands, grasslands, deserts, and forests just like every other open world would be very dissapointing. Its star wars. Make something cool ffs
Hell yeah
Biggest misnomer ever that British people sound smart. The British accent just sounds like some street kids got into the office. American's like Luke sound soooo much smarter!
You really think that a posh British accent does not sound smart?
Sorry i do not trust Ubisoft at all will wait till far after launch, maybe even a sale.
This game looks so lackluster like it’s Star Wars, at least make it pretty 😬
The only issue im having with this game is the dissonance between them telling me about all the 'corrupt outlaws that are scum and villains' and then showing me all the goofy lightheartedness of everything. It almost feels like the characters are playing characters, if that makes sense. Hopefully that's not the vibe throughout but knowing modern UBI, it probably will be.
Cool. So based on previous Ubisoft games I should be able to buy this game on March/April 2025 on Steam (depending whether it doesn’t have technical issues like Jedi Survivor)
If only they hadn't made the PC so fuck ugly for this. I'm ugly enough IRL I don't wanna be ugly in game too.
1:26 thr.1:41 . 😂
Doa
The best thing is they are talking about creating Africa on a moon and all people that worked on it are white :)))))))))))))))
Game looks great but I’m sick and tired because of this generic protagonist in games nowdays. The main protagonist is boring and generic, like what the deal with the devs? If they would make a badass protagonist like Nathan Drake, or Arthur Morgan, everybody would preorder their games.
Division 1 and 2 is my most played game on PS4 and PS5 Division is the best looking game and most detailed game out right now. It's the best realistic online game with a fascinating world. It makes perfect sense why they got hired to do Avatar and Outlaws. Not a big star wars fan but just because it's massive doing the game I will definitely buy day 1. The more they keep showing the game and keep talking bout the game makes me want to play even more. And hearing mister Stephen's take on this game also helps as well so thankyou and keep up the good work on your video games takes.
Am I the only ine that finds it silly to have a savannah planet?
I mean i understand a desert planet. Like Mars. It doesn't have an enough resources to sustain an ecosystem.
But, if the planet has enough resources to create lush flowing savannah, is it really going to just remain that all over the planet?
Like there are no cold regions, no mountains, no excesses of water, no swamps, no desserts?
I'm asking because I genuinely don't know.
It happens a lot in media, but I don't really know if that makes sense.
Like i can understand an ice planet as well, but an entire planet is a savannah?
It's not realistic, true, but people tend to let it slide because it allows for a consistent aesthetic that makes planets immediately recognizable.
@@derrickcrowe3888 Good answer
@@derrickcrowe3888 That makes sense
Star Wars fans being typical Star Wars fans by asking for an open world SW game for years, getting one, and being their same old typical whiney bitchy hypocritical selves when they get it.
I don't see anything wrong with the current gameplay. And the fact that reputable RUclipsrs are complaining about compressed video footage representing the final look just shows how fucking god awful RUclips creators and commenters are now.
This game looks terrible, I can’t believe people actually made this and think this is guna do well.. love Star Wars but this game has a boring concept
You said rise of ronin was terrible and that game is way better then ghost of Tsushima so I’m questioning your judgement
@@ISGAMINGFORNERDSI’m questioning both of your judgment? This game looks alright and you’re smoking crack if you think ride of robin comes anywhere close to got

never buy another ubisoft game again
they can maybe have my money on this game if they can unfail protagonist face as we clearly will be seeing it ALOT
Luke: ima filthy casual
also Luke: i will not watch acolyte and you cant even pay me to
not casual enough to know acolyte is bad lol
This is the first time in a while I’m not preordering a starwars game. I couldn’t tell you exactly what it is but sense we got the reveal ive had a bad feeling.
Game fidelity looks good, too bad it doesn't look fun though.
Still has that Ubisoft stank. Plus an ugly MC.
Ugly psh yea ok
i know thats nitpicking but this has always been a star wars problem for me... the tech.. so you have lightsabers, intergalactic hyperspace travel, but ships cant auto land on a surface because theres too much wind? because george L**** wrote the og as fairy tale, not sci fi movie... so he probably doesnt even know that already most commercial planes run on autopilot, and we're obv. not a intergalactic species like in star wars...
Don't be jealous, talent and brain are not one and the same. Too bad they got talent if they draw crap other people tell them to...
I'm definitely jealous of artists as well... their brains work far beyond my imagination
It just doesn’t impress me. Not even as much as the jedi series from respawn
i don't like star wars
No thank you mam solo
Um why not react to the gameplay trailer?
He done did
“It’s crafted to be as believable and immersive as possible” Ah yes, space wizards with laser swords fighting an evil empire that can blow up planets on a whim is so believable and immersive, that’s definitely why I watch Star Wars
You have no idea what they are talking about my guy. It has to be believable...WITHIN STAR WARS. it's not hard to comprehend. If they would suddenly have gungans that all fly around the map with pink smoke comming out their feet for propulsion...that wouldn't be believable for SW
Bro do you understand what context they are using the words “believable and immersive”?? Do you need to go back to school? I think so 😂
I’m tired of Tattooine 😴😴
I understand this. I look at it a little differently. I think it’s sick how many different places in tattooine we’ve seen and how we’re gonna see more. From swoop bike races in KOTOR to podraces, jabbas palace, sarlacc, rogue squadron etc.
Would you rather not have jabba in an outlaw game?
Isn't this just Koboh?
You really going to be influenced by the dumbest people on the internet to not watch The Acolyte.
The acolyte sucks, it’s not that hard. You can like bad shows

@@davidcopperfield5345 it’s star wars bro. also i think these planets/moons are much smaller than earth.
@@gmoney12stacks That doesn't really answer anything.
I'm asking if it makes sense because I don't know myself.
It's something commonly done in a lot of sci-fi media, and it always felt strange to me.
Being a moon doesn't change much.
There are moons bigger than earth, but our moon is also huge.
Think about the vast expanse of earth and how geographical effects can completely change the weather, topography and even the people of a country, much less a continent.
And Earth alone has seven continents, with differences based on their geographical location.
I just wonder about a moon with the resources to support life becoming entirely a savannah.
It might make sense, I don't know.
That's why I'm asking.
@@davidcopperfield5345 Does a lightsaber make sense? A lightbeam that just stops at at specific point? No? Nothing in Star wars makes sense. You accept it is there or you don't.
