I can't believe this started off as nothing but a shitposty homestuck parody. It's evolved into something far greater than it has any right to be, and that amazes me and confuses me to no end.
It's amazing how despite the shitty art style, the shitty story and the shitty dialogues, this still grabs your attention and gets you invested. This may be one of my favorite renditions of Megalovania tho
I like how jagk showing up is a parallel to this moment in homesteak.. but this time it kraket’s jagk, the one that won’t break his heart by killin him... rather he mends it :’)
4:47 This is the symbol of Rage, and what Kraket is doing is obviously a fit of Rage. But this is also a perfect example of how the aspect works. Rage is not just about being angry (just like Hope is not just about being happy, or Breath is not just about breathing), it's about limited perception and the changes of it, truth and lies, tunnel vision and openness. Karket is not just angry, he brings a shift in the nature of the scene itself, from scene where Vrasky judges people, to a scene where Vrasky is judged. He changed the "obviousness" of Vrasky being right to Vrasky being wrong. And helps bring the truths she hid. Also, i am not sure if "Night" is a passive class, or if there is even such things in CaNWC, but this looks like a passive thing, affecting others rather than yourself, fitting for a Bard, Page or maybe Heir. If passivity means "affecting others rather than yourself". If passivity means "Doing somethings for yourself rather than for others" then Kraket is probably active. 3:45 Aradia is amazing, obviously, but this amazingness is interesting. CaNWC is not just a parody of Homestuck. CaNWC uses the different circumstances to do the same things, and prove the same points that Homestuck does. Especially with the corruption and how people react to it. Rose's story in Homestuck is basically "being the smart person in a crowd of idiots, and rage against reality for being stupid". So in CaNWC, this is literal - everyone is metaphysically shitty and is stupid except for her. Aradia's story in Homestuck is about positive nihilism, accepting that everything is stupid and enjoying the good things you can find (while also achieving a higher understanding of some things). In CaNWC she is the only uncorrupted troll, enjoying an even more pointless and stupid story, and the most powerful and knowledgeable person in existence (even beyond fanon and canon). "Fondly regard shitpost" indeed.
If 'Night' is anything like 'Knight', what Kraket's doing here is actually typical Knight behaviour. A Knight is someone who exploits/allows exploitation their aspect as a weapon or a tool for empowerment. I would argue Kraket here meets homestuck's definition of Active; Kraket is weaponising both his own rage and Equihorse's rage against Vrasky, to do something that benefits himself (it may benefit the rest of his team as well, yes, but against himself is the final motivator). Ironically, this would also work very well as the behaviour of a Knight of Blood, pushing his team (i.e. blood) to work for the best outcome for himself.
and I love how in kraket's ranting at 5:20 he points out her wrongdoings on all counts, like her killing of aradead and almost dabros, getting fefieri to genocide the troles, her mistreatment of papaya, punishing terexi with the embarrassing red glasses even though she's already blind... he's not just mad about jagk, he's mad for all his friends and troles and everything except eridumb
@Nigel Francis i mean they did appear two different times once with doc scratch at the end of act 4 and once during the argument between doc scratch and final agent im fairly sure theyre normal
completely worth the wait! may not have been as action packed as verticle movements but it definitely makes up for that in the story!!! plus spdaes sleck returning was something i didnt quite expect!! a sweet reunion, despite only being gone for 5 minutes from krakets perspective, and much MUCH longer from spdaeds perspective also i am proud of myself for correctly guessing the demons >:3 hopefully spdaeds sleck is still fine because we didnt see him near kraket anywhere in his act 4 appearances
and that was the end of part 1 of act 5. what will become of our heroes? will Rose save reality? will some of the trolls escape from the demons? will hecka finally have justice? find out next time on Cool And New WebComic.

I honestly just love how Vrasky shoots at Aradia and she just smiles as multiple bullets phase through her before grabbing one to pelt at Vrasky with.
