I started going gray at 16. I dyed it for years. I stopped dying it 5 years ago; I now have a full head of completely white hair and love it. Embrace the gray!
People in my family get just a gray streak in the front. I've tried to embrace it, but we all envy people who have all gray or white hair. It's so pretty!
Great video! Now that you have covered this interesting topic... it would be nice to see a video on hair dye & bleach Q&A, what chemicals are in the dyes, effect on the hair, skin, irritation and reactions, how to achieve best outcome and less irritating outcome.
And maybe also take a glance at the hair paints that are out there that might be a whole lot less damaging or have fewer chemicals though they do shampoo out after a few shampoos but they can be applied like a leave-in conditioner. Haven't tried yet but interested in trying just for fun.
I remember my friend finding my first gray hair when I was 15! I’m now in my 20’s and have a few more strands. I’m pretty dedicated to not dying my hair ever because I know how hard it can be to go gray when you’ve been dying your hair. I think if everyone stopped dying their hair, we would really see people of all ages rocking grey hair, even teenagers!
I’m in my 50’s and quit coloring my hair. Embracing the grey hair I have. It’s going to take 2yrs to grow out but I think grey hair is beautiful! I know it’s not for all/I use to be a hair stylist. You are beautiful with or with out grey hair. Thanks Dr. Dray, for choosing this as a topic for discussion and most informative. 👍😌

I started graying early in my early 20s. I was freaked out by it for a few years but now I can’t wait to get more grays/white hair bc then I can dye them whatever color I want 😂😍
My dad had a full head of pure silver by 24, so I always kinda knew this was coming lol. I don’t even bother dying my grays. I’m 28 and fully enjoying the wonderful world of wigs on days where my greys just “don’t go” with my outfit lol 😅
Phenomenal video with so much information. Totally agree about stress causing hair changes. After my Mom had a major stroke my hair turned pure white. My hair thinned tremendously as well during the daily stress over 11 years of her care . Your suggestions for destressing are so important. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs.... Sherry
So I’m 32 and I’m finally letting my hair go grey, it’s really GREY. Started getting grey from 20. I have been very healthy and never drank alcohol when I was younger. I would say I have suffered from acne/sensitive skin and overall inflammation. I have smooth skin no wrinkles and a full thick head of hair that is grey. This was interesting.
I was born with black hair like really black and at the age of 14 I started going gray. I got so tired dying it I stoped about 3 months ago, I pretty like it like this and now I wish it turns more gray faster 😁
Love that you made this video. My hair is about 40% gray and white and I am *drumroll* 31. Started going gray at 16. It’s definitely genetics on my end. My mom had a “skunk streak” at 25. It was really cool. Looked like she dyed it. Thank you! Hope you have a great weekend!
Like my grandfather, all of the men that worked in my grandfather's appliance store were WWII veterans. One of the men, Herb, was part of the first wave of D Day. When he left for the war his hair was a thick and wavy jet black. When he came back from the war it was still thick and wavy but it was bright white. It remained that way the rest of his life.
Dear Dr. Dray, Yes, PLEASE help me to quit smoking...ive smoked for over 30 years.. I always knew it was bad for lungs, but you've really taught me a lot about the Other negative effects it has!! The biggest issue is..... The withdrawlllll......so. Hard. Anxiety. Stress. Physical aches....
Great video very interesting. I am 54 with 0 grey hair. My sister is 52 and is grey. She also stresses way more then i do about everything. I wonder if stress has a lot to do with going grey.
I decided to stop dying my hair.... I've been dye free for 15 months.... I'm so happy I did... It's freeing! Mine is silver/white with my original color...😁🤗❣️
I love my grays! I have a streak and I asked my hair stylist to cut my hair to show it off. The only thing I do to style my hair is make sure my gray streak is showing lol.
I know right hair color companies are gonna get pissed.... Hair colors cause cancers and so do shampoos, get into a good shampoo bar it's WAAAY less chemicals.
You're 💯 right dr. Dray I have PTSD which leads to terrible emotional stress and depression. Because of stress i started smoking. That's when my hair started going white. It started when i was 19 and now I'm 24 with 40-50% white hairs.
This was interesting. I'm 66 and only about 15-20 percent gray. I cover it with some highlights every few months. I feel lucky and will not complain when father time finally catches up with me.
Having a husband and children make you go grey very fast. Jokes aside but all the stress of having a family really contributes. Most of my married friends have much more grey hair comparing to single ones 🙄. Have a good weekend. Very useful video!
Hi Dr. Dray. I am a new follower and have really enjoyed the content of all your videos. I did a search through your posted videos and did not find anything about tattoo care. I am a 42 year old woman with many many tattoos who will continue to tattoo I am sure indefinitely...many of my family members and friends are also heavily tattooed. I believe people like me are more and more common as tattoos have become more socially accepted. So with that being said I would absolutely love it if you had the interest and or time to do a video about tattooed skin care for fresh work and aging skin. Thanks so much for your insight and sharing your knowledge with us! 😊
Oh dear! I thought lightening my hair with the sun was a natural alternative to chemicals. Hi Dr. Dray. Please, please address the topic of heat rash! I live in a very hot humid climate like you and I suffer from this every summer. I’ve been trying to rinse/wipe off perspiration from my back in particular and applying cereve creme but nothing helps. I shower at night and apply cereve. Should I be using something else? Please address this if you can. Thanks for all you do for us. I’m a fan for sure🌺
Another great video and about a subject I wouldn't have thought you would cover! BTW, when I was younger I plucked all white/grey hair I could find and I've seen that some of the plucked hair were white at the tip but seemed to turn back my original brown color sometimes at the root. This has been somewhat of a mystery and I have yet to find out why this has been happening. Have you ever come across that somewhere?
Weekends I go back and watch some of your old videos to catch up what I had missed before I found you, Then you had short hair and your mom had a different hair style, I am so amazed how much and how beautiful you hair grew in the last two years. Would please share your hair care routine if you do not mind. Thanks Dr. Dray and happy Friday.
I didn't start going gray until 3 years ago (@age 60). Had 2 spine surgeries, an epidural hematoma, & meningitis, all within 48 hours. Major stress on the body! Still only 20% gray, but stopped dying my hair, & have decided to embrace it!

Great video Doc. Question, if you have hypothyroidism and it has caused gray hair, will proper hormonal treatment lessen/reverse the amount of gray hair?
Hello ! I am 22 and kept noticing gray hair. This was the first video I clicked on... and I’m so sad :( I have Crohn’s disease (auto-immune AND inflammatory). I’m so upset!!!! Is there anything to do to reverse this???? I had no idea that it was having an effect on my hair.
Dr.dray, I am a very dry, dehydrated skinned individual with eczema. Recently, I’ve been a bit bedridden and I find I’m sweating (especially in skin folds). What should I do, as you say sweat can be an irritant? It’s quite uncomfortable to be itchy, flaky, and sweaty all at the same time. Also, I feel like some moisturizers don’t “dry down” in the skin folds and it feels wet and uncomfortable 😣
May I know. When do I use Aztec Indian clay mask in my night routine? First I cleanse with a gentle cleanser, hydro boost moisturise, Neutrogena moisture for sensitive skin, Differin Gel and then Neutrogena acne clear benson peroxide 2.5%(all in order) how do I incorporate Aztec clay mask? Love ur vids! Hope to get a reply :)
I started going gray when I was 10 and it was just a streak of gray at first, now I have a bunch of sporadic gray hairs all over my head and when I feel like I want to color my hair (I usually don't, I'm just too lazy) I always leave my streak out 😊
Now I get why a colleague had beautiful white hair after her chemo, I just assumed that she had been dying her hair previous to that. It was also a lot curlier than I remembered it as well. So I guess the wheat grass is not going to help to prevent or reverse gray hairs? Guess I need to know if that has effect on free radicals or if it's some kind of antioxidant. Thank you for addressing this situation.
Some green vegetables are helpful for reversing grays. Moringa is great. A shot of fresh purple onion juice has proven helpful for me. If I see gray, I drink a total every day and in about a week my grays go back to my hair color. I hear you vlcan apply it direct to the scalp, however, I stock to drinking.. ( It is tasteless mostly. You can chase it down with warm water and honey after if you like though.)

I started graying early in my early 20s. I was freaked out by it for a few years but now I can’t wait to get more grays/white hair bc then I can dye them whatever color I want 😂😍
I never thought of it like that lol
My dad had a full head of pure silver by 24, so I always kinda knew this was coming lol. I don’t even bother dying my grays. I’m 28 and fully enjoying the wonderful world of wigs on days where my greys just “don’t go” with my outfit lol 😅
You are glowing! Can you share your updated skincare routine?
I am very similar to you in your symptoms. Have you found out why you are having skin problems?
Omg, dr Dray, you look sooooo beauty full with this long hair and earrings) just couldn’t resist writing about it) thanks a lot for the video too
I was born with black hair like really black and at the age of 14 I started going gray. I got so tired dying it I stoped about 3 months ago, I pretty like it like this and now I wish it turns more gray faster 😁
Exactly me! I just want one colour
Dr. Dray I been so busy today but I will always have time to watch my favorite youtuber 😊😄Happy Happy Friday😎
Happy Friday!
Very informative video!!! Thank you so much for this topic.
On another note, your skin looks absolutely amazing!
Love the crystal earrings! 👸👂🧡
You did a really great job explaining this Dr. Dray! Beautiful energy, too!
Dear Dr. Dray,
Yes, PLEASE help me to quit smoking...ive smoked for over 30 years..
I always knew it was bad for lungs, but you've really taught me a lot about the Other negative effects it has!!
The biggest issue is..... The withdrawlllll......so. Hard. Anxiety. Stress. Physical aches....
Have you tried chantix? it can help
@@DrDrayzday I take meds for bipolar; they don't mix.
Sue Ludwig go to Amazon, find the book EASY WAY TO STOP SMOKING by Allen Carr. Read the reviews. Purchase the book. Paperback or electronic.
Pray!
I'm 44 and my hair has gone almost completely gray. I don't want exposure to the chemicals in hair dye. I'm just going gray with confidence and grace.
Gray hair is truly beautiful!
Gray hair is gorgeous!
I am 49 and have not tried to cover my grays. Luckily they frame my face. I told a colleague I am not going to color it and she said “why?”. 🤣🤣🤣
Dr. Dray is cranking out videos.
And on top of having a traditional job?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Just want to say you look more beautiful. The glow up is real Andrea!!!
Happy Friday!!!
Thanks! Happy Friday!
Dear doc
This was so much needed, i started noticing grey hair after extreme period of stress in my late teens
Love from India 🇮🇳
Love you Dr. Dray! I hope you have a great weekend! ☀️🌻
Happy Friday!
Great video. Loved that you stressed not smoking re: premature graying of hair.
I love the Friday Q&A!
Thanks for another informative video.
You're 💯 right dr. Dray
I have PTSD which leads to terrible emotional stress and depression. Because of stress i started smoking. That's when my hair started going white.
It started when i was 19 and now I'm 24 with 40-50% white hairs.
It seems you’re getting prettier and younger every day !
Happy Friday!! You look so pretty here!!
Happy Friday!
Oh my gosh, I had no idea that hypothyroidism could cause grey hair! That explains so much! Thank you! ❤😊
This was interesting. I'm 66 and only about 15-20 percent gray. I cover it with some highlights every few months. I feel lucky and will not complain when father time finally catches up with me.
julie daly you could totally let it all go gray and tone it 😍
@@taay_thegreat2057 what tone is it please?
Only one word “impressed” you ALL looks so pretty 🖤🤍
I think our society is getting more accepting of grey hair. It can be very attractive.
I love you Dr.Dray ❤️
My sister has vitiligo - we’re so glad you shared this! 👏🏻
Such a Great Topic Dr. Dray!! I Enjoyed it very Much!! Please Enjoy the Rest of Your Day!!
Have a great weekend Ms Jackie!
Dr Dray you take my grays away with your information. I was hoping you'd cover this topic 👵 and as usual I learned a lot! Thank you! 🙋
Having a husband and children make you go grey very fast. Jokes aside but all the stress of having a family really contributes. Most of my married friends have much more grey hair comparing to single ones 🙄. Have a good weekend. Very useful video!
Happy Friday!
I started going grey in my 30's. I love it. On my father's side my grandmother, aunt and father all went grey early.
Hi Dr.
I love that I have added UV topical skin protection to my regimen but a hat in Texas heat makes my feel faint.
To top off, my unwinding glass of cab is stressing my hair... Perhaps 3 servings a week could be benign? A wino can hope : )
Good morning wonderfully educated Dr Dray. Thank you so much for all the knowledge you share EVERYDAY! I know this is a question from a old video but I was late to watch. Please tell me how and when to use the Your good skin acne treatment for pores?! Day night? Under moisturizer, sunscreen, makeup?
I started going gray at 21 & my mom did even earlier.
me too
@@sarahwong4258 I was 19 :-( 38 now and almost completely white just as my parents where in their early thirties. at least we are not alone with our greys
:)
Dr dray your amazing. Glad I found you. Thank you
Hi Dr.
Cheryl Dawkins: Type “Dr Dray heat rash” in the RUclips search bar to easily find an existing video on this topic.
Thanks JT
Another great video and about a subject I wouldn't have thought you would cover! BTW, when I was younger I plucked all white/grey hair I could find and I've seen that some of the plucked hair were white at the tip but seemed to turn back my original brown color sometimes at the root. This has been somewhat of a mystery and I have yet to find out why this has been happening. Have you ever come across that somewhere?
You are glowing ✨
THANK YOU for making this!
Happy Friday!
Are you doing something different in your routine? You are looking more vibrant and younger by the minute!
james benedict: My guess is it is the result of long term and consistent use of sunscreen & Tretinoin; her skin looks fantastic!
my guess is Botox.
My guess is lemonwater
I didn't start going gray until 3 years ago (@age 60). Had 2 spine surgeries, an epidural hematoma, & meningitis, all within 48 hours. Major stress on the body! Still only 20% gray, but stopped dying my hair, & have decided to embrace it!
Wow! I started at 30
Your skin looks amazing!
thanks
I started graying at 14. I’m 23 now and I have full patches and streaks. The crown of my hair is 50% white. I’m African American so it’s always been pretty wild.
You read my thoughts. I need this video right now. ❤️
Can you discuss glutathiaone and its effectiveness and/or ineffectiveness as an antioxidant, it's safety and efficacy for hyperpigmentation, and its effect on the liver?
Shakera Kathleen, FNP-C. Would love to hear about Dr Dray opinion about that I thought about taking it for a chronic health issues...
Great video Doc. Question, if you have hypothyroidism and it has caused gray hair, will proper hormonal treatment lessen/reverse the amount of gray hair?
will slow down possibly
Thank you 😊
I found my first gray hair at 16 and by 20 I had a small “skunk stripe” and gray hairs coming up all over my head. I love the gray and how it looks!!
I just want a full head of one colour. Like just all white hair/grey or all black coloured hair. No salt and pepper for me haha!
You just tell us straight up ! I love you ❤️
Hope to get a reply :)
the mask is not going to add much to what you are already doing and if anything can lead to irritation
I started graying at a young age. I don't know when exactly, but my first gray hair was discovered when I was 8
When you smile and talk you’re so pretty 😍
Enjoyed:)👍🏼 Yay for Gray!! Happy Friday;)😎🐶
Happy Friday!
Can you review products that claim to reverse graying of the hair?
