Excellent Statement " Their GPU business for us, the enthusiast, is a side business " Bought a 4090, on my 2nd. 1st ASUS TUFF, cable mod right angle adapter melted to 12VHWPR connector on card ( told cable mod adapter would prevent sharp bends causing unsecured connection ). The price, 12vhwpr issue, the quality of games, NVIDIA's lack of effort to encourage developers to leverage a 2200 dollar gpu is why your statement is appreciated. No more GPUS or Building computers for me after 25 years. No reason to when your the slave to their crap.

08:10 - Josh talks about 4070ti pricing at $900. It's true for some higher end OC models, but there are several models at or under $800 available now. I got mine at microcenter for $760(because my 8 year old 980ti died over xmas break). Hey, $40 off is still a nice discount(regular price for the zotac model I got is 770, but apparently they price matched amazon that week)

    Great show as always!
What really gets my goat about the RAM process increasing is that there's no way that the inventory in the channel is affected by this but the prices are already increasing.
I've been keeping an eye on a certain kit of RAM for a couple of months now and it suddenly jumped €20 in the last week.
    Really pathetic...

The market for these products sorta reminds me of how the US handles gasoline. We have these massive pipelines that deliver gas throughout the US, and while there are millions of gallons in transit they treat the pipeline as instantaneous transport. So it doesn't matter what price that gallon of gas was that comes out the end, it only matters what the current price is.

Fairly sure the only reason Win11 is up to one in four is new laptop sales where the end user just holds their nose and rolls with it.

New machines are where the biggest adoption for ANY new windows operating system has been. Laptop vs desktop doesn't matter. Typical consumers get what comes on their new machine. Enterprises on the other hand typically can order prior OS's on new machines for some time. The stats show consumers are getting 11, businesses are slower to adopt which is not uncommon. That will change with Windows 12 as the cost of staying on 10 increases.

Enterprises will simply run windows 10 on new machines until Windows 12 comes out. By then all their hardware will be compatible and the upgrade will have more compelling differences such as NPUs, etc.

7:26 mins You ask what do we take from this. To me it's obvious. It's a reference to the monolith in that movie with Hal, the artificial intelligence and we know how that NVidia would rather sell a thousand cards to someone (companies) invested in AI than to us poor schmucks that buy one card at a time and this is their god and this is the direction they're headed - to that great monolith in the sky that will make all their bonus dreams come true.
