I'm guessing this was recorded on the fly as a favour for either Fred Dekker or the soundtrack guy for the movie studio. They didn't even gave the act a proper name.

you see, this is what Stranger Things should have done, scooped up all those 80s songs that were either exlusviely in an 80's movie or really not known outside of its usage in movies. They should have scooped up all the songs like this and used it as their soundtrack where music is used, bowling alley background, malls, parties etc scenes. Beast Inside form Night of the Demons, The Way Of All Flesh from Tales from the Dark Side, Flesh to Flesh from Return of the Living Dead 2, etc.
I believe the selections from all the ST instalments were chosen more for lyrical relevance. Thus, weren't reflective of the 80s timeline they were trying to portray. I can tell your record collection must be quite extensive like mine lol.
... also, the formula you mentioned was employed for "Return of The Living Dead". Besides the iconic cast, is probably one of the main reasons why it is loved as a cult classic.
btw dude, i was looking at your videos and was really pissed that some rap knucklehead content id-ed the theme from Troll2. I'm pretty sure the f*cker don't have the right to that instrumental track by Carlo Maria Cordio. Unfortunately i do not know of a way to contact Carlo or Lunaris Records to report the bastard, i'm surprised he got away with it for so long!

just an update: Carlo is now aware and confirmed that the rapper don't have the rights to the track. He will be talking to his lawyers about litigation regarding the matter. 👊
Can someone use this song to be use for the Nightmare on Elm Street movies?
It'll definitely fit right in for sure, especially on "Dreammaster" i think. Same can be said for others used in the movie like "Let Go" by Intimate Strangers.
