Actually luffy is ridiculously powerful. Literally a whole team in one character. Like he say "I can do everything I want now " you can play him freely. But I suggest to play him as defender since it's his best form

I really like the character design. He essentially is a defender; I truly do feel free by spamming skills and doing counters when I am holding the treasure. His counter idea is also fair, it uses the 1 and hold normal attack combo so it's not overly broken. The only issue I have is his goofy running animation
His counter is not fair at all its unlimited its easy now to win with him you dont need skill just spam the counterattack and that is the stupid thing bandai did

It's not broken because the counter comes at the second hit so it's not that you can freely do it any time, if your first normal hit gets stopped then the counter won't succeed. His counter can also be hit after like 2 seconds although the animation still shows he is countering. Try it out. And right now this seems to be broken, but future characters will counter him up because of his counters :)

Him against raid brook is interesting especially if you can keep up with the player using g5 i was having fun with my raid brook but a teamof g5 luffy is insanely hard to beat especially if they all start luffy
there's a glitch for luffy, when the treasure gauge is already 100% or more and luffy isn't in defender form and when he enters the treasure area he won't be able to switch to defender and charge it fully to 150%.
Obviously, that's cuz he's a runner when you enter the treasure area and the trait of filling it above 100 percent doesn't activate if he's not in defender mode, and you certainly can't change into defender after fully charging all of the treasures and can't change to attacker if you're attacking enemy outside their own treasure area or even if you're in your treasure, they obviously didn't put a lot of thought to the unit and pulled it out of their ass
its not a glitch in the traits it clearly says that to trigger the defender form u have to charge a flag and if it is already full a runner or attacker gear 5 doesnt have the 150% charge since it is a only defender trait
So far luffy player that i fight against is super sweaty they really know to time thale counter like my zoro just got counter everytime but thank got i got him but i still need some practice he is good and balance in my opinion he fun to play and if you use his ability wisely you can kill everyone even zoro or roger even big mom

ngl the most annoying thing about gear 5 is the team mates not knowing how a counter works when instead of waiting perfect dodging and getting free hits on luffy they just dive in it letting gear 5 knock away everyone there and getting his buffs. imo gear 5 is easier to kill if used by a player that spams the counter rater than a player that actually attacks instead of using only counters and skills since they are the unpredictable ones and u might accidentally hit theyr counter

Klaw sucked already but i got used to it, now mostly my enemy team has atleast 2 luffys and mine none. I have only an 85lvl film red shanks and i swear i cant do nothing. Had 3200 leauge points in ss now im down to 1800..

Defenders didn't need a boost, we had olin recently, g5 should've originally been an attacker instead of defender or even so have a good way to switch classes whenever you want, then that won't have been an issue, and players still don't defend cuz of the switching class thing they just run around attacking people without even understanding how he switches to attacker class

You don't have the other event wano luffy medal? The one where you do 5 percent more damage to the element you're stronger against, if not then use oni raid luffy medal it gives 5 percent damage reduction and it's easy to get

@@-Alex20 I don't think you understand in Defender form on his treasure he gets 60% dmg reduction and complete stacks of defense up to 70%. Even if you bait his counter he can tank your attacks and his skill 1 cool down is so quick especially if you're running 3 Kaido Medals 😅

I myself 3v1 on my treasure and my Gear 5 is only level 84 against level 100 Olin and Oni Zoro and KLaw. Dodge Abuse also is a thing that's why it's difficult to fight him not impossible but it's just time consuming.

I think players need time to get used to his counter, he was just released.

@@mohammedkh1072 i recolle for 2 time and get 1 G5 on another acc under 100 so, btw in my main account I got 3 exs BB,oni BM, ex Luffy so under 300 100 so I confirmed on that I never saved too much RDS for exs because you never know when you got ex in early

@@rahul_10610 yes. you get up to 60% bcuz 30% dmg reduction as a defender then when you're at your treasure it gives you another 30%

@@-Alex20 I don't think you understand in Defender form on his treasure he gets 60% dmg reduction and complete stacks of defense up to 70%. Even if you bait his counter he can tank your attacks and his skill 1 cool down is so quick especially if you're running 3 Kaido Medals 😅
@@-Alex20 he's not unkillable but you're wasting a lot of time if you try and fight him though, it's better to move on than just fight. I myself 3v1 on my treasure and my Gear 5 is only level 84 against level 100 Olin and Oni Zoro and KLaw. Dodge Abuse also is a thing that's why it's difficult to fight him not impossible but it's just time consuming.
@@silverarrow2013 i do understand how he works and he aint that hard to face. if i use the m1s to drain his dodge he cant tank my maxed kidd skill 1 that can drain 80% or even one shot him without team boost and when i dont kill him i leave him low hp there for the attackers while i capture other flags
G5 is op no matter how you slice it or decline it simple you cry more in the comments
