After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy, the happiest Troll ever born, and the curmudgeonly Branch set off on a journey to rescue her friends. The fact that they cast Amy Schumer as a mediocre hack who literally steals talent (and unlike everyone else in the cast, she doesn't even do her own singing) is genuinely one of the most layered and clever jokes an animated movie has ever done.

First two movies: Poppy is the mc and also directly responsible for endangering all of her kingdom.
Third movie: Branch is the mc, the villains are unrelated and theres literally only ONE guy in danger
Conclusion: Poppy is the Troll Antichrist and brings doom to all she encounters/ rules over
Not even counting the cartoon series where SHE'S the one making most of the problems for Branch to fix.

Fun fact the second movie was like 2 months before the timeline of this one. And during the whole time, Floyd was captured so he didn’t even know or witness the rock trolls tryna take over, or the strings breaking.
My favorite part was when Poppy said "We need to band together to save all music!" and banded all over the place.
Honestly, I thought that Velvet and Veneer looked like they were made of toothpaste. They are meant to be like the same plastic toy that Mommy Longlegs is made of, but I thought of that first for some reason.
