The members have said often how they don't care about gender roles or appearing masculine, and they want to change those standards. If you look at great artists of the past, many of them wore bold and iconic looks which were considered "too much" by conservative people at the time. BTS should just wear what they want, whether that's minimal makeup or something more experimental.
All the guys in BTS are so handsome... with and without makeup...Case in point Jin's natural beauty was evident recently when he took the military photos...Jk talked about how good his skin looked...and I agree his skin was just glowing and absolutely flawless...his natural beauty was definitely on display!❤

Korea Now doing interviews with people who have been with BTS from the beginning 💜 The Sweden photoshoot with blush & freckles will always be a fav of mine. It was such a departure from their strong eyeliner look at that time.
This makeup artist has such a gentle relaxing voice, I can imagine for BTS members when they were so sleep-deprived sitting in the makeup chair, it must have been easy to drift off! I'm glad they had someone who treated them well :)

I wouldve loved demonstration of base makeup. That's the most important difference I notice between western and Korean. The skin looks amazing. Particularly stage makeup.
I like, that they tried to give them natural looks from the beginning. Jimin must be the favourite of every makeup artists, because his appearance totally different with makeup.

Han Hyunjae worked with BTS in the early years so it was interesting to hear his thoughts.… and I completely agree that because our Taehyungie is so beautiful and pretty already… very little make-up is needed. But I also love when Taehyung goes into idol mode with very creative make-up looks too. He looks gorgeous with and without it. I also agree that Jin needs very little make-up too. One of my fav make-up looks among many on Taehyung is DNA and fake love era… I remember him going viral constantly and the articles comparing him to Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. He’s always been our stunning fashion icon. I love that all the members have tried various styles over the years.
