Love the d-sports on a drz400s. Great in sand and pavement (Florida). Fair price and last a long while. I run 18 psi rear and 22 psi front, street and dirt. Work really well.

DSport ADV tire has been excellent on my 250L. Not sure I'll run the front again between price/mile and lack of reversibility, but I will likely do the rear again.

Ive been waiting for a good DS tire video. Thanks! Although I haven’t had time to watch it yet it is at the top of my play list. Would love a future video with regards to longevity.

The bonus footage at the end reminded me of this awesome movie I saw recently, it's called Take Shelter. Highly recommend it!

I've been looking for better tires for my DRZ400s. I had these tusk dsports on my CRF250L and they were pretty good but I barely rode that on the pavement . Glad to see a good road review for these thanks!

Great review, from an experienced rider more importantly. I see so many Noob Dual Sport guys switch to over aggressive knobbies to make up for their lack of skill of offroad. Not understanding their Sag is way off, and blame it on "Death Wings". Its important to be honest about where u ride and what tires work best for u. Cuz for me, knobbies on pavement absolutely suck and will kill the enjoyment on actual 50/50 riding. Sand, Mud...yeah u need knobs. Hard pack, dirt, rocks, grass the 50/50 tires like a D605 will keep u happy and riding a lot farther on trips not getting numb from vibrations.

I run Tubliss with spoke weights. I highly recommend balancing with spoke weights...even with tubes. Got 4k miles on my bike on takeoff tkc80s that I got for $50. Going back to a 90/10 dirt tire next time for the riding I do. That looks like a good set of tires though.

Thanks for the info! What size is the rear tire? Thanks

Have you had any issues with ripping the valvestems off the tubes without a rim lock ? Im putting a set of these on my 450L and im wondering if i can get away without them ?

  • @theravedaddy

I run 12psi. On tarmac they warm up and measure 18-20psi and drop down again on the dirt. I dont worry about rim locks on honda/DID rims because they have a serration milled into the bead that locks the tyre adequately. The tyre stays put even when its flat.

Where are you? I just put my deposit down on the22 450l and I’m in CDA Id. You mentioned priest lake. it’s be cool to meet up with someone on the same bike to see how the mods are working out in person.

Thanks for posting your videos. It’s nice to see what other guys are up to with these sweet bikes. What size of tires did you go with?

Thanks for the tire review. I just ordered these for my crf450rl. What size rear tire did you go with. I hope a 130 will fit, cause thats what I ordered.

Thought the terrain looked familiar,I grew up pretty close to where you are riding. Made the trip into idaho for trail riding yet? Or is that something you do much? Noticed you do fire roads and mx track.
Good videos and just FYI the rear spring can be removed with the shock still on the bike although that clip is hard to reinstall.

Did you have any howling noise from the front? I just installed the front on my crf250l and it's loud as hell.

Nothing abnormal, try playing with some different PSI pressures as that can help

Why would you swap out perfectly good sprockets and chain at 1100 miles? And especially to replace them with the exact same size? Also why do you only have 1100 miles?

    • @DadsDomain
      @DadsDomain  3 года назад

That chain is known not to last long so I figured just get it all done now. The main reason my miles are low is explained in the video I just released on why I bought a v strom as a second bike.

@@outlawpat8038 a little longer but they’re wearing pretty good but surprisingly do alright off road but I run a moose so I suspect that’s why
