The long wait is over, and Hello Neighbor 2 has finally arrived. Despite mixed reviews, the first Hello Neighbor had its fair share of dedicated fans and community. With an updated engine and now a whole town to explore, Hello Neighbor 2 promised to be better in every aspect compared to the first game.
And luckily, I can say that yes, Hello Neighbor 2 pretty much is an improvement on everything compared to the first game. The town and its houses are beautifully detailed and an absolute joy to explore. Now layouts and areas actually make sense, which make the puzzle solving all the better. It still can sometimes feel a bit like trial and error, but much less so than the first game. There are still some hiccups unfortunately, like janky physics or AI that gets stuck. But the overall pacing is much better this time around and thank goodness for not having any mannequin sections.
The story, though a bit vague, also hints at something much larger and I cannot wait to see where this series goes next!

it took me 8 hours, but it was because I had to reset my progress 2 times because a glitch made me lose an important tool, like the shovel in the hunter's house and the scissors in the neighbor's house, neither of them respawned.

I'm freaking stuck there. This is freaking bs ridiculous because no matter what I keep getting caught by the doughnut addicted cop!! He stays searching the upstairs now. No matter what he hears me and I can't proceed further into the game. Been here now 3 hrs and about to chalk this up as money well lost.. Any of you come back at me with ignorant cynical remarks like, "urr sounds like lack of skill to me" you can blow that our ya dookie shoot because it doesn't take skill to play this!! It just doesn't so don't sound ignorant! Plus I'm doing what I'm supposed to. This is a real shame because I was looking forward to playing this.

I find the AI even more frustrating in this game like it seems like they always want to move and hang out where you are constantly and barely give you any time when you do distract them to do stuff before they come straight to you again. Ugh I mean it was like this in the first game but it seemed it was much easier as there were more escape routes and even areas the neighbor couldn’t get to easy. There was a lot more ways to juke him it seemed like.

@@MrPro0909 I think I liked the first game more because the wacky house was fun to explore and it again it seemed a lot easier to juke the neighbor plus there were areas he couldn’t get to. This game i got really annoyed with. It’s too hard and not in a fun way. Plus the bugs and items disappearing is a problem.

@@DaGhostToastRoast I also like the first game more. It was definitely more interesting in my opinion and alot more fun considering how large his house was in act 3. This game doesn't even have a finished story and all the characters are boring considering I don't know them unlike the neighbor who was always there in the first game. I also find the ai worse considering there barely get around anywhere and if you sit on a bed there can't even get you. Somehow the ai has got worse and plus there was a ton of broken promises during the making of this game. I'm just really disappointed to be honest
@@moondrop3855 I didn’t get that far like just past the cop. Another thing that pissed me off was my camera and a few other items just vanished. I had to start the game over to get my camera back once.

This game was a lot of fun to play, the different personalities and actions performed by all the different characters is really cool, and I like how they kinda kept with the same characteristics, personality, and actions with Mr. Peterson, he acts almost the same to Hello Neighbor number 1. I love the storyline as well. The puzzles are fun, the sound design is updated, and different music tracks play in different locations, the original game only produced the sounds of people talking, cars driving, trees moving, and birds chirping, which is good ambience, but having all those qualities combined with music is very charming. Enjoyed the game overall, and thanks for the tutorial, you helped me a lot! I’ll make sure to look your tutorials up more often when I need help in video games!! 😃

The game is awful, it's unfinished and lacks most features available in the beta. Also, the guest is not even in the game + the ending is really lame.

No. The Beta was at least somewhat fun, I guess. For Hello Neighbor standards.. This is just... a slightly prettier, more boring version of the beta.

This game is definitely an improvement over the first one, the graphics look a lot better and holy shit Raven Brooks looks absolutely beautiful. I also love the soundtrack, and it seems like there is a raven cult or at least something like that, i'm kinda interested to know what happens next. Though i wonder if this red house is Mr Peterson's 2nd house or a museum he lives in after the incident at his home, hmm.
Is it tho?. Would the first game look even better if you remastered it with the same graphics and physics?. Because if you look at the ai from the first game he literally goes all over his house and will get you even on hard to reach places. There didn't even finish the game and are gonna "finish" it in a update meaning you pay for a full price game just to be left on a cliffhanger. Plus what story am I even looking at?. I'd prefer the guest being the new chracter and getting rid of the Neighbor. Somehow there alpha's of this game look better.
@@moondrop3855 I wrote that before knowing it's not a full game, i think the music and environment is better in this one, plus characters graphics look good. But the fact that the base game and all dlc's together at that time weren't cheap and they were unfinished, that's really disappointing through.

I had to find this guide because I literally couldn’t find what to do next. And that isn’t even the worst. I dropped the scissors because my inventory was full and I stepped on them and they spazed out of existence so I had to quit and load back in from the main menu, and the drones buggy as hell. I understand puzzle games are hard to find solutions for but at least they have some subtle pointers.
It’s just embarrassing for me to have to look up a guide when I’m streaming this for a review since I got the key from my game reporter pal.

the hn2 feel more horror than the hn1 and it feel more risky to do smth and the story and graphic is just damn very cool

same, thats the problem with Hello Neighbor games, they NEVER give you any direction on what your supposed to do. I love Hello Neighbor as an idea, but it's exucted poorly in the sense of you never know what to do.
In the room where your char wake up you can see some screens on the wall, which show you the house you need to go
So ten minutes in, and I love the implication of a dyslexic journalist, seeing all of the letters around him scrambled, that's a really nice touch!

Words cannot describe how disappointed i was that The Guest was demoted to a one time jumpscare
I found them genuinely more interesting and unnerving than the neighbor and seeing something so promising get tossed aside and reduced to a cheap jumpscare was a huge letdown

It was moved in a recent update, it’s behind the bed on the second floor, the lever to move the bed to access behind it is on the backboard of the bed sticking up

Bro this was so hard to do.. it took me 3 days-
My hands where shakey the entire time, and once after I got done with night 1 I accidentally left my crowbar there and it wasnt in the spot it was supposed to be in. I was SO triggered, I had to restart the whole game after searching all around the neighborhood and the houses I alr went through. This game is real realistic, but it has saving issues sometimes. When I stopped playing it for a day, not counted in my 3 days, I Didn’t have my scissors! And I had to, OFC, restart the game AGAIN- I’m not hating on the game, but I’m just pointing out some issues I had with it for people who are thinking on playing it, have a good day :D
BTW, the search for the crowbar was AFTER night one when I realized i needed the crowbar to unlock a door-
I kinda missed the pre alpha and alpha 1 they look realistic and no parkour

Just downloaded the game today. Started it around early in the afternoon. Just finished it and it’s 2 am. The ending had me crying in frustration. In total, it took me like 8 hours to complete the game😅😢😢

i just started playing this and needed to watch a walkthrough since it's more open than the first one and my game is set up a little differently
It's because there had to update there own game to make it easier to understand. This game is even more confusing then the first one

See I like this game the only problem is is that there is a lot of bugs for the full release because when you hide in the basement where the car is you can glitch into the wall and go under the map and it breaks your game and there’s a bug with hello neighbor where you can’t hear his music and where the scissors just randomly disappear out of the map
The shovel also disappear when you drop it, I dropped them by accident in the hunter's house and they disappeared, they wouldn't respawn so I had to restart the game.
@@joeking433 instead of uninstalling the game go to settings in the main menu and reset your progress
@@joeking433 In the main menu there are 4 or 3 options one of them is settings, go on settings, and then there will be an option called restart progress. After you press yes to reset your progress it will take you to the beginning of the game.

I’ve replayed the same levels over and over because the “last save” area isn’t accurate.
I just finished the jazz man’s house, got the key from the crow room and it kicked me out and I’ve lost all of my previous data. So it made me start the game over from the very beginning!!! I love Hello neighbor but this has been so frustrating.
The game's unfinished anyway so if you lose all you're data I would just recommend stop playing and wait til there actually finished the game.

Hello neighbor 2 codes i guess (if you dont wanna skip to all the parts spoilers i guess)
1984 and NOT for the first house. 1984 for a safe in one of the rooms when you enter from the front go forward and then to the left you'll find the safe in the room there and then theres a code thing behind a painting next to the stairs
1576 for the bakery (have to find buttons. a key is in the bakers pocket and you go to the fridge which is to the right when you go inside the kitchen or whatever in a room. take the fish thing out and put it in the cat bowl and you'll get one, upstairs you'll see a blanket thing with a yellow part [use scissors] and you'll have a clock hand [put it on the clock and have the small hand up on top on the left and then the long hand on the bottom part on the left [one above the bottom one] theres a wheel thing i forgot the name its in the freezer room to the left of the entrance [inside of the room] take it and bring it upstairs to the bathroom [go to the stairs and go forward a bit and you'll find the bathroom, go inside and to the left you'll see a heater thing, put that thing on that and then turn it, outside leave the bathroom and then turn right there will be a door and 3 plants you have to cut the plant in the middle with scissors and you'll get it. Then theres a key in a freezer in the kitchen put it in the oven thing? when the chef or baker isn't looking. then get the fire extinguisher [behind the shelf in the kitchen] and use it when the baker or whatever isn't looking where you placed the key, take it out and go upstairs and there'll be a book thing and unlock and you'll get it, place all the buttons and done) Sorry for all the words!

8691 for the rich guys house or whatever (have to get a battery out of a power box or whatever and move it to another one to do the code)

Looking at the codes you'll think they're upside down but THEY'RE NOT, they're completely different, 7 upside down would be 1 so 8 would be 2, always count when doing the code, start from seven which is one, count from 1 to 0 (1 9 then 0) and do the code on each thing, its 75203 (maybe)
Yet again, TinyBuild has screwed up Hello Neighbor 2 by making the full release worse than what we started with.
You’d think with the First Game and all the alphas of the First Game they would have learned their lesson by now.
The funny thing is I find the first game more fun then this one. I mean the ai actually works there's a finished story and 3 interesting houses. The only problem I have with the first game is after act 3 but apart from that I really enjoy it and would like a remaster with better graphics and physics.
