- Most people who have been in Vedic Astrology for quite sometime know what the term planetary aspects mean. However many people do not know that planets aspects other houses which they thought planets do not aspect.
Excellent description on aspects. The best part I like is you mention the important books you referred to, that puts light into the references we could use to understand this complicated science. Thank you for the effort !

It makes aspects more clear for me to read and understand aspects table in Jhora software.
Your explanation also explains me that Venus's and/or Jupiter's such aspects on Mars could cancel Mangal Dosha ( When mars placed in 1,2,4,7,8 &12 )

Thank you for this very informative video. Along the lines of what you have mentioned, Saturn has a very powerful 3rd aspect because of the higher number of Virupas. Can you provide some clarity on which aspects of Jupiter and Mars are likewise most powerful? If you can make a video later on the quality of the special planetary aspects of Saturn, Jupiter and Mars, that would be much appreciated. As an example, the 8th planetary aspect of Mars can be taken as a case study.
This is very important phenomena , and it is not known by many of the astrologers. Even this is not popular in Internet and even i didn't see in books
+Rishabh Sirvaiya Thank you for your response to this video. This information is found in the ancient text books of Astrology maybe 5000 years old - Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra. It is known to many Astrologers but most of them do not work hard on a horoscope. Sometimes they are tired.

long time doubt. I am reading books related to astrology. in one book the author states that " Jupiter has more aspect strength compared to any planet. the author states an example like this consider Saturn aspecting a house third from itself by 98% and Jupiter aspects that same house by 98% then the impact of Jupiter aspect will be more than Saturn because Saturn has more Sthana bhala and Jupiter has more dhristi bhala " sir pls tell me this is true or not...

Thank you very much. Just to remark, 'aspect' from Latin _ad-spicere_ means 'to look at, glance at'; so it in fact means pretty much exactly the same as _dṛśtiḥ_ in Sanskrit. They have everything to do with each other.

Very nice.For SATURN 3rd house will have strength from (15+45) to (45+45) for 7th house from (0+45} to (60+45) & 10th house from (30+45) to (15+45) but for other houses say 4th house strength should be from (45+45) to (45+30) or it will only for 3rd,7th & 10th house.This is confusing please elaborate.Similar treatment can be given to Mars& Jupitor.I am a late starter so pl explain.Thanks

Dear sir, thank You very much for a wonderfully explained video. As far as I understand Your approach to calculating aspects, is after calculating virupas normally for all grahas, You add a fixed constant (45, 30 and 15, respectively for Sa, Ju and Ma), for any point that is being in special houses/signs from the particular outer graha. Do You add these for special signs (for example 3rd and 10th from Sa), or from houses in terms of degrees from the graha, aka for Sa (60-90 degrees, and 270-300 degrees)? Also, do You round it up, to 100 in case of overflow as in B. V. Raman's method setting in JHora?

Dear sir, as i saw your all videos that all are very good to know everything about vedic astrology houses.
One thing i want no that, if Asc is important to know our Houses then what about Rashi & Nakshtra, Because most of the cases all will not get same rashi & same Asc. Means if in My Kundali Rashi is Kanya & uttara palguni nakshtra & the Asc is Karka lagna then how you will treat this. what is the use of the Rashi & Nakskatra kindly please reply me

Sir, depending on the avastha of a planet i.e. bala.kishore, yuwa,mrit does aspect result to be interpreted, does jhora software take this into account while assigning points for aspect?Also does degree taken into consideration for calculating the shadbal? Does planet getting higher shadbal /degree wise strong but functional malefic capable of more damage? Is it good to have a functional malific in combust state?Many thanks- Sanjeeb

Sir, is this method of calculation mentioned in the BPHS?
Yes. It is taken from BPHS Volume 1. Exact table is given. I copied from it. I think many Astrologers are not aware of it as much as some Hindus are not aware of Bhagawad Gita.

It is said in Vedic Astrology. Buy Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra Volume 1 and you have an entire chapter devoted to this. After this you may educate all the Astrologers you meet (who are not aware of this) thereby saving the world of Astrology.

You considered sun in Aries. Say I consider Saturn 10deg in mesha then should I add 45 to all the vrp
Example: 30 deg from saturn which is in 10 deg mesha gets 45 vrp

Sir no doubt what you have taught in this video, but if this is true then will not all planets when aspects then planets and its aspects like Saturn's 3 aspects, Jupiter's 3 aspects and mars 3 aspects all planets will cover the whole horoscopes houses with their aspects interconferencing then wouldn't it create confusion to predict.... Can you pls take any horoscope as an example to showcase how to use this complex output of aspects and predict correctly

from 2nd to 5th house the virupas are not exactly in ascending order why? any significance. where as from 6th to 10th house it is in descending order.

These are as prescribed by Maharshi Parasara. Sometimes we do not know why they said it. I too have thought about it, same way as you said.

kwantumspin For Saturn there are 2 special ASPECTS. They are the 3rd house and the 10th house. After getting the original score you have to add another 45 vrps for Saturn's special aspect. So the 3rd house already has a 45 vrp possibility and then add another 45 you get 90 vrp. That is why Lord Ganesha lost his original head because of Saturn's 3rd drishti.

If we substitute Sun with Saturn then Third aspect of Saturn will fall on 10th degree of Geminine where it is 15 Virupas and adding 45 to 15 becomes 60 virupas ie the full aspect strength

I think the extra points listed in the center of the chart are added at the point of full aspect for each of the planets listed. In Mr. Kumar's example, he uses a point 90 degrees from the graha's position to indicate where Saturn's full aspect would be made (and thereby indicate's Saturn alone can reach a 90 VRP aspect value at that point), but I think Saturn's 3 aspect is only 60 degrees away from the graha's location, at which point the total of 60 VRP would indicate full aspect.
I think it was a simple mistake of not counting the first house when counting saturn's 3 aspect. This also makes all the other graha specific values listed in the video make sense for adding to the field of values that wrap around the chart from any given graha (at jupiter's 5 aspect, 120 degrees away we have a standard value of 30 VRP before considering Jupiter's special aspect value of 30 VRP which we add at 5/9 houses from the graha, giving us the full aspect value of 60 VRP.

KK Santhanam Special Aspects are only for Saturn, Jupiter and Mars. For all other planets the maximum score is 60 virupas = 1 rupa. For Saturn there is a point on which there is the 90 vrp aspect which according to me is very strong.

Planetary aspects on planets should be taken from the Rasi chart. The Rasi chart is the real thing. Everything else is derived from it. With regard to Planet aspects on houses you should consider the bhava madhya degree (as in equal house system). If a planet aspects the bhava madhya degree then that planet aspects that bhava 100%. Adjust it accordingly. Every subject like physics, chemistry, mathematics, everything is confusing until you understand it. Don't worry. There are many Astrologers who do not know many things and that includes me. More practice is needed.

Normally Saturn causes depression. Enemies may be Mars and the 6th house. Astrology is so complex that you will not find 1 word answers that easily as there are many other factors. Depression is related to Mind and it may be affliction to Moon as well by either Rahu or Saturn. Rahu may be depression followed by drugs and hallucination (like ghosts).
