She also name drops 2 other sins (Belphegor and Satan), and indicates that she has stolen from the former without (severe) consequences, and considers the latter like a brother.
That implies some serious power...and also that Belphegor is female in this world.

And the funny thing, since she wrote the song, the whole episode was delayed by a half year or something, so even someone else singing it didn't make a difference :D

Supposedly the creator of the show is a huge Ke$ha fan, and actually used a Ke$ha song for one of her earliest animations that went viral years ago. So this episode brought things full circle for Vizzy, in a way.

Fun fact: It's kinda implied that Blitzø got wasted on the same stuff (Beelzejuice) that a) Verosika drinks during Episode 3, that makes that fish mutate and b) that has a neon sign of it hanging on the right wall of Husks bar in the Hazbin Hotel

Queen Bee = Beezelebub = Deadly Sin of GLuttony (Same as ASmodeus is Lust). Kesha did Voice the character, but another performer did the singing because of Keshas Legal disputes with her record contracts. Also its the same night as the previous episode with Stolas at Ozzie's Club. just for context
You know you're seriously ducked when the Queen of gluttony herself gets worried about your safety, I love that they made Bee a sweetheart, not a self centered b!tch 1000% and Blitz made me feel bad, voicing his fear of dying alone when he actually has a whole family
As for Beelzebub's design from the series. She is, as I see her, a mixture of the Greek gods Hestia, Dionysus and Artemis. Cerberus, the guardian of Gluttony from Dante's Divine Comedy. Kitsune the Nine-Tailed Fox from Japanese mythology. Fairies from Celtic mythology and English folklore. And Beelzebub from Philistine mythology and Judeo-Christian theology. Her appearance is explained by the fact that she is still a fly, but a hoverfly. These insects are known for looking like bees, but they are actually flies. She used to have the title of Queen of the Flies, but then it was no longer relevant, and she not only changed the name, but also the image and image of her Circle. You're lucky that you discovered the series when you did and didn't have to see all the mess that went down two years ago. This episode was slated for release in early 2022. But due to Kesha still in a legal battle over the rights to her music, Spindlehorse was blocked from releasing it. This is sadly common when pop stars do a special guest appearance on shows. Their record label won't allow them to sing a new original song on a tv show. Here they tried to get past the red tape by having someone else sing Cotton Candy for Kesha while she just did the speaking but it didn't work because Kesha still _wrote_ the song.
Production on season two was held up because of it and the hiatus between seasons was the entirety of _nine months._ During that agonizing wait, fans lost their patience and the nasty side of the fanbase really showed itself. Ultimately Queen Bee would finally be released after being shelved for 18 months in June 2023, days after Kesha's court battle ended and she was finally released from her contract.
The delay also unintentionally exasperated other issues in S2. When Stolas got his backstory in ep1, the hatedom ran that the story made no sense as it never showed Blitz being upset over Ozzies, and then when ep2 showed Blitz seemingly just over the whole thing, they bashed the show writing as trash, and Twitter of course took advantage to make the whole thing worse by saying the creator couldn't write stories.
These were, of course, horse shit accusations, because when ep 8 finally arrived, we got the missing link and it was Blitz really did get messed up over his ordeal, and provided insight into his insecurities, which is that he hates himself and is afraid of having nobody who would stay with him.
Also, Rochelle Diamante did an AMAZING job at imitating Kesha's singing voice.
Kesha voicing Bee is like a full circle moment, for Vivziepop. Her first video was an Animation project done to Ke$ha's "Die Young," with a hellhound looking character, and now, years later, she has Kesha voicing a character. I was so stoked when I realized Bee was voiced by Kesha.
Exactly my thoughts. The project you mentioned got set offline, too because of the song used... I loved it and I'm glad I could save it before it got blocked. The character was named "JayJay"
At the end of last episode there was a note on Loona's door that said Tex invited her to a party so she's not home. So this episode is a direct follow up from Blitz's and Stolas' "date".

Blitz adopted Loona from the shelter before she aged out, so she was 17 when he adopted her. She’s in her 20’s now.
That’s the Gluttony ring, and Bee (AKA Queen Beelzebub) is the deadly sin of Gluttony. She rules over the Gluttony ring, but she and the other deadly sins are still below Lucifer in hierarchy.

Its the reason this episode got so delayed while they tried to find a way to make it work. but yea someone else had to do the singing. Vizzies big break to start was when she did an animation to "Die Young" years ago
Kesha didn't only sing it, she also co-wrote that song to begin with. And that why her stupid company did lay cross about it. That was the real deal. That's why it took them so long to get to OK for the song, but Kesha wasn't allowed to sing her own song. That's why Kesha is the voice actor, but not the singing voice.
This episode and the end of this season was delayed so originally episode 1 of season 2 came before this since they had hangups with this song b/c of copyright music bs.
Also don't forget why Blitzo looks so wasted to begin with. It's the same night after Ozzie's happend. The same night Stolas and Blitzo broke up. It will be important because that's where season 2 will start. That's why he looks so sad and is obviously sleep deprived. Did you notice the couch was wrecked, but the horse blanket wasn't? And in all of the photos in the apartment you won't see Blitzo in them (because he either cut him out; or wasn't there to begin with). He love his family (Loona) and his friends/co-workers but not himself. It Ozzie's you can see the pictures better. Just want to point that detail out.
Also one of the YT commentors said that imps tend to have a fixations throughout their lives: Like Blitzo with horses/his car; Fizz with juggling/stupid fun stuff; Millie with knives (her bed has a lot of knives; and she loves to use a knife); Moxxie with musicals/crossdressing (Phantom of the Opera during the Dhorks episode; his ringtone)
Stolitz didn't exactly break up, just the thing at Ozzie's happened.
@@karlafm24 Well, it was kinda a break-up. A break-up IS a break up. A break up - per definition - is an occasion that is coming to an end either buisness or personal relationship. If you remeber it was their FIRST DATE. At last for one of the two thought that way. And it did not end well.
It's not a classic break-up were each position say: "yeah, we break-up". That usually doesn't happen. Usually only one part says: "I don't want to be with you - for whatever reason". And the other part has to deal with it. Blitzo was the one that wanted to end this evening. And he was the one that acted strangely afterwards. Yeah.. no, he didn't say "it was a break-up" but it was very well meant that way.
But remember: Blitzo cannot deal with his feelings. He has built a shield around himself to protect himself. Because he got hurt so often. So rather hurting himself he hurts the people around him. That's why he is so noisy and rude most of the time.
For Blitzo Stolas was a key to get in to see what MxM are doing. To go into Ozzie's. He never thought that Stolas has feelings for him. He still sees this relationship as buisness only. And Blitzo probably wants to stay that way. Feelings are obnoxious to Blitzo, and the chances that he f*cks it up are high. Another soul he would disappoint. And another thing Blitzo would feel guilty about. Then he would hate himself even more.
Stolas is the one that thought it was their first real date. He also didn't know that Ozzie is Asmodeus. If he knew than he would have never accepted that date to begin with.
And Stolas was the one that wanted Blitzo to stay but Blitzo refused. That's why he probably felt sad and rejected.
It's very common for relationships to have up and downs. To break up and come together again. Or break up for good.

Season 2 is definitely where the story starts to get really good. There's so much backstory and story progression.
The drunk Blitz bit was improvised from Vivzie's hungover incident. She was like, "i dont feel like throwing up," and that inspired the Drunk Blitz.

I swear I love Beelzebub. She is awesome and has Kesha’s voice is amazing. And it’s awesome that she is such a cool ass son. But it’s also kind of normal seeing as she is the incaranation of too much of a good thing

I know you have rough idea about Blitz, but if you look at the pictures hanging on the walls of his place, in these last 2 episodes, you can see that he crossed himself out of every picture.

The deadly sins are my favorite characters in this show, Bee and Ozz especially.
And even thou it can be argued that he doesn’t count as a Sin, Lucifer is my favorite of the 7 sins

This episode came out midway through season 2 as there have been legal issues with Kesha's label and this is why it's actually someone else singing for her.
Almost as soon as legal troubles had cleared the episode aired, it lacks a warning at the start and a lot of things aren't talked about around the episode by the Helluva boss team due to legal nonsense.
Beelzebub and this episode in general are a celebration of the team and Viv's work, she had made an animation with one of Kesha's songs years ago on a series called Zoophobia, it helped make her popular and one of the substories of that web comic would later become Hazbin hotel which would split off and form Helluva boss.
In the animation Viv had a character named JayJay that sang the Kesha song and she was a blue wolf which looks very similar to Beelzebub in the middle of her song hete 4:47.
In essence it's all one big circle back, to her fame, her favorite singer, and the foundation of her 2 successful series all in 1 video, I hope the legal nonsense doesn't prevent Kesha from coming back as she's fun but also for Viv to enjoy.

Later she says she can feel those around her and felt that he wasn't partying for fun but was covering pain (same night as with Stolas) which leads to problems.
Also if she can feel those around her imagine the pain she feels from all those in hell, that probably explains why she parties hard and why normally no one can beat her.

Honestly Beelzebub is one of the nicest of the sins. She is at least cool and wants Loona to help Blitz out because he is getting so messed up for the wrong reasons.

I've been SO excited to see your reaction to this episode, mostly because I wanted to see the moment you realized Kesha was in it. So many people absolutely FLIPPED OUT when that episode came out, and I couldn't wait to see what you thought of it!
Also, yes, the story does start to become more character-driven from here on out. It's a little unfocused at times, but it's still a pretty fun ride. I hope you enjoy it!

Kesha's reveal blew everyones minds when it was released. From what I hear the reason this episode was delayed was because it was during Kesha's legal battle to separate from a former manager who was abusing his power. Not sure if accurate but supposedly when the courts were finally finished was when this episode came out. This is a continuation of right after episode 7 at Ozzie's. We saw a note from Loona saying she was invited to a party. She initially almost back out because she has a crush on Vortex and Bee, the literal Queen of Gluttony is his girlfriend, not someone you can compete with normally Id assume. I cant remember for sure but this is the first episode where Loona called Blitz her Dad. Combine with the emotion he felt in the previous episode he was way overdoing it. I love how Bee ended up showing how she is a compassionate sin here. Cant wait for your reactions to next season! Have fun in Tokyo!

Lucifer and Satan are 2 different beings in this Lucifer is the embodiment of Pride and rules the ring of sinners and Satan is the embodiment of wrath and rules the wrath ring where the large majority of imps come from

If you're talking about Brock Baker (Stolas' pilot VA), that was just an allegation that went nowhere.
There's also a storyboard artist (I forgot the their nickname) who has been accused of fetishizing SA and abuse between Angel and Valentino, but I don't think that even remotely fits given legal definition.
