DC boost converter, only 2 components, no transistors, 1.5v to 150v dc

Uses just an electro-magnet and a reed switch. Converts 1.5v dc to 150 v dc unloaded. Drives 3 - 1 watt LEDs in series, very brightly. 275 turns coil. I've found that it works much better with a tiny 1/8" diameter neodymium magnet stuck to the end of the steel rod. see next video
