Just picked up this game for £15 pounds on steam thanks to a promotion. I'm using a pad and i was having the problem of indeed keeping it a line going though the corners. Like on Doytona fourt corner unless i lefted off the padel a lot and went to bottom line i end up sliding up into the wall. so tried your settings for PC and found the car a lot more planted to the ground, able to hold my line load better (still little movement but then nascars do move about ) even to point i was bump draft around turn 4 on the high line. TouchGameplay what do you mean pad? i’m about to get the game on pc and everyone keeps talking about the pad... does it not support joysticks?
@@EviIjordan The game is set up to support Wheel and joypad only. After all the game is original a console game ported over to PC.

As a desktop user without a wheel, if you mod the "left" stick on the game controller it makes a huge difference in terms of control and fine adjustments. Just "5 minute" epoxy a cheap paint tube cap (pack out the height by about 3/4 inch) on top of the left stick. A traditional "toothpaste" cap works really good as well. This way you have more leverage and finer control of steering. I couldn`t believe how much difference it made coupled with the right sensitivity setting---like night and day.

wow. i set my ps4 to the game pad setting set here. i personally had more difficulty keeping a line in nascar heat 5. yes i even configured the car with the recommended in game setting for daytona
This should help a lot, I play this game during Michael Mruczs streams and I'm usually mid pack, this should help me out

Woah, spin-o-rama. Just turn down the sensitivity a bit if you're spinning out aot
It took me an hour or so to figure out how to fix the handling, the minimal response from barely moving the joystick and then a hair farther it just turns real fast was very annoying. I’m still tweaking with it but so far I found a pretty decent balance. I’ll try your and see if it works any better.

My settings for pc controller everything in the middle except for throttle and steering both throttle are two clicks of from left most point and steering is one click off to the left
Does it matter about the tight and loose settings when you go onto online. Like do you want to loose tight or just in the middle
That depends on the track and how you like the car to feel in corners.
do you have settings for nascar 21 on ps5. since it’s the newier game. also is heat 5 better or is nascar 21 ignition. one game is ps5 updated the other isn’t.
Heat 4/5 is a better game. It is not recommended to buy or play nascar ignition
So the voice doesn't come through the controller like it did in heat 3?

Mate, I just set up the G29 on this game and I just bought it but am having hell trouble trying to make the car drive - I have tried everything from allocation to changing all the aids but cannot get the car to move it just revs and for some reason when I have set up the paddles I press one on each side and it goes up to gear 4 and stays there ??? any idea what I am doing wrong please - this is on PC by the way not an Xbox or PS, etc ...can you help me please this is doing my head in ??
I want to be able to put the throttle and brake on different buttons besides the shoulder triggers on the Xbox controller on pc. Anyone know how to do this?

my keyboard steering dont show that stagger when i press the buttons....its full left or full right....
Thanks for the great video. Do you know if you can change the configuration with the controller? I'm disabled and can't use the triggers as accelerate/brake and I usually use the right thumbstick for accel/brake in racing games. Does it have a preset where you can have this do you know? Thank you.
On pc, that can be done in game by changing the input mapping. On PS4, you have to change it in the PS4 menu. I don't know how on the Xbox but there has to be a way

Strange thing is I cannot accelerate nor use the breaks using the controller. Every other button works just fine but whenever I press the throttle MPH remain at 0.

How do you turn youe mic on on ps4?
Dumb question but I don't know how to switch my controller input from controller to wheel on Heat 5. The game just reads my wheel as a controller, and never gives me the option to switch. Not very relevant to the video, but I haven't found any other tutorials online. Btw I'm using the Hori wheel (only the best) on PS4
It only allows this on the PC. On the consoles, it wont let you switch back and forth

I use keyboard as my controller, i find it very hard to maintain lines and steer with traffic, I tried messing with the steering rate it but i can't fine tune it (too slow, or too fast) , i tried placing driving aids but it makes me go slower. Do you have a recommended set up for keyboard gameplay? Im really struggling.
The recommendation for keyboard in racing games, is just don’t do it.

Hey man do u know a way u can trick the ps4 and the NASCAR heat 4 game into thinking the wheel is a controller. I'm in a wheelchair I can't use pedals and I don't know if it's possible with a g29 wheel I had a t80 and it worked. But i want to upgrade I really don't want another t80. Any pointers would be appreciated
Not that I know of unfortunately. One thing to try is the PS4 is able to remap buttons. So theoretically with the wheel connected you can remap 2 buttons for the gas and brake (should be L2 and R2) to another set of buttons on the wheel.
my brake and throttle dont fully go up, may i ask why this happened
Im not sure, you might need to recalibrate it outside of the game if on pc

@@TheBenCrazy Yea idk man, i switched to wheel now i can't even drive in a straight line because any movement in the stick sends me flying left or right
@@tyleramell3371 make sure it is at 180 degrees and hit test. Move it back and forth. Is it getting to the left and right ends before the stick is all the way? If so, try lower sensitivity to the left. If that doesn't work, just use the settings in the first part.

@@wkeybean810 You need to use a 3rd party software like DS4Windows. The PS4 controller is not natively supported

Any controller will work. The Xbox controller is plug and play while a playstation controller might need another program like ds4windows to work

It only works on PC. If you are on a console, it automatically detects and prevents you from being able to.
I've noticed this too. Start the game with desired device. I've had to shut down, switch, and restart to change devices.
Somehow on my nascar heat4 I can’t win as much as on nascar heat3. Am I doing something wrong

On PC yes in the options but not on console. I know for the PS4 you can do it in the console settings itself but don't know about Xbox.

Worst game ever to setup controls. Would like to smash my keyboard right now. Just can not get my fanatec wheel setup like any other normal sim
The game unfortunately was designed for controller and nearly no time was done for a wheel. Atleast thats how it felt when I tried using a wheel too. Its an arcade game, not a sim so controller is probably the best to use.
@@TheBenCrazy Whats really driving me nuts is the wheel acts nothing like the testing part when i get into the car and drive. and how come i have to choose wheel and degrees every time i want to change wheel settings. It should keep player 1 settings as wheel instead of asking me every time what im using for controller.
and you would think you can get into the options from the garage but nooooooooo. have to back all the way out to main screen. most aggravating setting up ever
