Now this is a video I can get into. That stump grinder is the real deal and you should have all those stumps gone in no time. I like seeing you using these machines and that looks like a great investment. Congrats on your new toy and as usual another great video by yourself and your camera person who does a great job. Remember my old saying, don't get made at lazy people because they didn't do anything.
Its in the owner's manual. They don't know what kind of machine you'll be running it on so the PTO shaft is supplied with a generous length. Just follow the measuring formula and cutting instructions in the manual and you're all set. Standard procedure with pretty much any piece of PTO powered equipment.
After each forward pass, you really should raise it a little before backing up; there is no cutting teeth on the backside of the flywheel, so pushing the disc back thru the stump can bend something. A pain, I know.
I like that yellow tape, great idea.

Thanks Carey! It is quite a machine.
I watched the official video from Woodland Mills, and the representative never mentioned cutting the shaft.

Thank you.
Following you vid, to clarify you took a full 6" off the PTO shaft?
I can't remember exactly what i took off. Its best just to follow the directions in the manual.
Cheers
Thanks for watching!
