    • @cruisinguy6024
      @cruisinguy6024 Месяц назад +28

      That was poorly phrased. Pepper spray is classified as a prohibited weapon in the UK under Section 5 of the Firearms Act of 1968 so officers have to sign it out like a firearm since the inventory is tracked because possession outside of LE use is illegal.
      Section 5 also covers offensive knives like butterfly knives, switch blades, etc. Basically anything designed or intended to inflict injury or harm to another person.

      Pepper spray is illegal in many, if not most, developed countries.
      One advantage of this is much more peaceful police interactions. In the US police kill around a thousand Americans every year whereas in the UK it’s just 2 or 3. In other countries it’s almost unheard of.

They carry a 40 cal glock which is in the process of being changed over to a 9mm because of ease of recoil on the 9mm. CS spray is also carried by uniformed officers. This is where not being truly free has it's problems. Tyranny's can do whatever they want to you, and there is always some employee who is happy to take a paycheck in exchange for the opportunity to victimize the public. A great example of the bad actions of a few now adversely impacts everyone.

      @diogeneslamp8004 Месяц назад

      First, it’s “tyrants,” not “tyranny’s.”
      Second, you clearly do not understand public policy. In the UK you get a license in part by promising to obey all the rules and regs. So what do think should happen if they’re caught? The laws benefit everyone if they’re enforced so what would be the point of having these laws if they’re not enforced?

    • @bradmottishaw467

      @@diogeneslamp8004 First "Tyranny's" was in reference to those governing bodies exercising tyranny over it's subjects.
      Second the UK has Subjects, NOT free citizens.
      Not having a Nazi style checkpoint in the UK would be my recommendation, but then again people in the UK are limited on the recourse they actually have to do anything about it.

      Then it would be “tyrannies” (plural), not “tyranny’s” (possessive). UK citizens are subject to the Crown, but it’s Parliament that makes the laws. The royalty thing is just a front to keep the tourists coming. Laws are still made by representatives of the people.

I made zero accidents and I was happy it was tolerated before. Sure, it can not last forever. Only 1 thing is sure, insurance is SCAM.
    These people can make that service very costly. They have right to take the key out from the vehicle and before that lower the windows. It means that, the secure place owner must store it inside the building, not outside. Also they must use the lift. They can not just use the plastic film because it leaks the water. If vehicle does not start or have damages, it is 100% their fault and they must cover the damages. It is nasty way but takes out their profit
