I'd be curious to know how you configured the turntable like that, say if you get an old one used or something. Maybe that's common knowledge for vinyl people but I have no idea how all those knobs and things work haha
Not at all. People enjoy the whole process of vinyl. It's also artwork to collect with all the cover art and vinyl types. Many people think it sounds better too, with it's warm but pleasing colorations. Vinyl sales are way up. CD's might be obsolete first.
This Ortofon MC is sweet? Most MC cartridges have a tipped up treble that makes them anything but sweet. Too many MCs are edgy and bright so some folks confuse their zingy highs for "detail".
Thoughts on Soundsmith Zephyr MKIII? It's a moving iron with supposed great detail retrieval. Currently trying to decide between that and the Cadenza Blue...
@@Blewis-Diarrheo I will second that, MCs edge and bright my arse. Some may be voiced brighter than others but edgy is hard to find in MC vs MM. About the only bad MC ive heard is a Quintet Red but theres loads of MMs that sound awful
Beautiful. I just got this table last week.
Title is misleading. I was actually looking forward to you showing us how to install and calibrate the cartridge.

Get ya a nice cd player :^)
Nice video. The title is kind of a hilarious jargon overload unless you know what it means.
It's just the model names/numbers of the cartridge and turntable.
Wanted to know if you think lossless streaming would make all of this obsolete?

OMG...you put that beautiful cartridge on that crap picture disc 😢
For about a minute. It's not a big deal. You act as if it's sandpaper or something.
Turntable is not upto that cartridges ability. Put it on a Rega p8 and hear it at its best
Regas are horrible turntables. I'd never buy one.
agreed, way overkill for the Marantz, nothing wrong with the mm cartridge they come with, and yes, I owned one at one time.
Nothing wrong with table. I have one my self and it compete with other way higher than the marantz.

Spoken just like a person who hasn't heard one.
